Bedienung des DuoFern Wandtasters 1-Kanal* 9494-3.

3.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Verwenden Sie den DuoFern Wandtaster ausschließlich zur
Anmeldung und Steuerung von DuoFern Geräten.
Einsatzbedingungen
◆ Die zugehörigen Rohrmotoren müssen über mechanische
oder elektronische Endlagenschalter verfügen.
◆ Betreiben Sie den DuoFern Wandtaster nur in trockenen
Räumen.
◆ Der Einbau und der Betrieb von Funksystemen ist nur für sol-
che Anlagen und Geräte zulässig, bei denen eine Funktionsstörung im Sender oder Empfänger keine Gefahr für Personen
oder Sachen ergibt oder bei denen dieses Risiko durch andere
Sicherheitseinrichtungen abgedeckt wird.

3.2 Nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Die Verwendung des DuoFern Wandtasters für einen anderen
als den zuvor genannten Anwendungsbereich ist nicht zulässig.
Die falsche Verwendung kann zu Personen- oder
Sachschaden führen.
Verwenden Sie das vorhandene Funksystem (z. B. das DuoFern
Funksystem) und seine Komponenten nie zur Fernsteuerung
von Geräten und Anlagen mit erhöhten sicherheitstechnischen
Anforderungen oder erhöhter Unfallgefahr. Dies bedarf zusätzlicher Sicherheitseinrichtungen. Beachten Sie die jeweiligen
gesetzlichen Regelungen zum Errichten solcher Anlagen.

6. Produktbeschreibung
i
Funktion
Der DuoFern Wandtaster dient zur Anmeldung und Steuerung
verschiedener DuoFern Geräte. Mit den beiden Bedientasten T1
und T2 können die gewünschten Steuerbefehle auf die angemeldeten DuoFern Geräte übertragen werden. Zwei LEDs (rot/
grün) informieren dazu über den jeweiligen Status der Bedienung.
Maximale Anzahl der DuoFern Geräte
Es können maximal 16 DuoFern Geräte angemeldet werden.
Bei der Anmeldung werden die einzelnen DuoFern Geräte vom
DuoFern Wandtaster automatisch erkannt.
Tippbetrieb
Zur Steuerung von Jalousien mit Lamellen kann der DuoFern
Wandtaster in den Tippbetrieb umgeschaltet werden.

8. Montage

8.1 Den geeigneten Montageort auswählen
i
Vermeiden Sie die Montage in der Nähe von Störquellen
Funkanlagen, die auf der gleichen Frequenz senden,
i
können zu Empfangsstörungen führen.
◆ Montieren Sie den DuoFern Wandtaster nicht in
der Nähe starker Funkanlagen.
◆ Um einen optimalen Betrieb zu gewährleisten,
sollten Sie den DuoFern Wandtaster nicht auf
einem metallischen Untergrund oder in der Nähe
von metallischen Gegenständen montieren.

8.2 Montage des DuoFern Wandtasters

Der DuoFern Wandtaster 9494-3 ist zur Aufputzmontage vorgesehen. Der beiliegende Wandhalter kann sowohl angeschraubt
als auch festgeklebt werden.
1. Wählen und markieren Sie die gewünschte Montageposition.
2. Ziehen Sie die Schutzfolie vom beiliegenden Klebestreifen und
kleben Sie diesen auf die Rückseite des Wandhalters.
3. Ziehen Sie die zweite Schutzfolie ab und drücken Sie den
Wandhalter mit dem Klebestreifen fest an die Wand.

4. Ziehen Sie die Trennfolie vorsichtig aus dem Batteriefach.
5. Drücken Sie zum Schluss das Bedienteil und den Abdeck-
rahmen auf den Wandhalter, bis der Rahmen bündig an der
Wand anliegt.

Hinweise zum Anmelden von DuoFern Geräten
Es können nur gleiche DuoFern Geräte bzw.
Geräteklassen an den Wandtaster angemeldet wer-

Bei der Anmeldung werden die einzelnen DuoFern
Geräte vom DuoFern Wandtaster automatisch
erkannt.
Lesen Sie dazu auch die Gebrauchsanleitung des
jeweiligen DuoFern Geräts.

Beachten Sie die rote LED
Die rote LED blinkt schnell auf, wenn die Anmeldung fehlschlug.
Zum Beispiel, wenn...
◆ die maximale Anzahl von 16 DuoFern Geräten erreicht ist.
◆ ein ungeeignetes Gerät angemeldet wird.
1. Das gewünschte DuoFern Gerät in den Anmeldemodus schalten
(s. jeweilige Gebrauchsanleitung).
2. 1 Sek. Den Anmeldemodus des DuoFern
Wandtasters aktivieren.
Die Tasten TL + T1 gleichzeitig
1 Sekunde lang drücken.
Die grüne LED blinkt.
120 Sek. Der Anmeldemodus bleibt ca. 120 Sekun-
den aktiv.
3. Nach erfolgreicher Anmeldung leuchtet die grüne LED
ca. 2 Sekunden lang.
4. Melden Sie das nächste DuoFern Gerät an.

9.1 Anmelden von DuoFern Geräten

Anmeldung mehrkanaliger Aktoren:
1. Das gewünschte DuoFern Gerät in den Anmeldemodus schalten
(s. jeweilige Gebrauchsanleitung).
2. Aktivieren Sie den Anmeldemodus am Wandtaster, wie zuvor
beschrieben.
Wird ein mehrkanaliger Aktor erkannt, leuchten beide LEDs
dauerhaft.
120 Sek. Der Anmeldemodus bleibt ca. 120 Sekun-
den aktiv.
3. Den ersten Kanal übernehmen (anmelden):
Eine beliebige Taste kurz (< 5 Sekunden) tippen.
Nach erfolgreicher Übernahme blinkt die grüne LED dreimal.
oder
Den ersten Kanal überspringen:
Eine beliebige Taste 5 Sekunden lang drücken.
Nach erfolgreichem Überspringen blinkt die rote LED dreimal.
Nach erfolgreicher Übernahme oder nach erfolgreichem Überspringen eines Kanals leuchten beide LEDs wieder dauerhaft.
4. Den zweiten Kanal übernehmen oder überspringen.
Gehen Sie vor wie unter Pkt. 3 beschrieben.

9.3 Aufräumen im DuoFern Netzwerk

Mit Hilfe dieser Funktion können Sie alle DuoFern Geräte, die
nicht mehr per Funk erreichbar sind, vom DuoFern Wandtaster
abmelden.
Alle batteriebetriebenen DuoFern Geräte können
nicht mit dieser Funktion abgemeldet werden.
i
Um alle DuoFern Geräte abzumelden bzw. zu löschen,
muss ein Software-Reset durchgeführt werden, s.
Seite 29.
1. 5 Sek. Das Aufräumen aktivieren.
Die Tasten TL + T1 gleichzeitig
5 Sekunden lang drücken.
Während des Aufräumens:
◆ blinkt zuerst die grüne LED,
◆ dann leuchtet die grüne LED dauer-
haft und die rote LED blinkt, bis das
Aufräumen abgeschlossen ist.
2. Wurde das Aufräumen erfolgreich beendet, leuchtet die
grüne LED ca. 2 Sekunden nach.
Das Aufräumen abbrechen
Sie können das Aufräumen jederzeit durch kurzes Tippen einer
beliebigen Taste abbrechen.

10. Den Tippbetrieb aktivieren
i
Im Tippbetrieb kann der DuoFern Wandtaster z.B. zur Steuerung
einer Jalousie verwendet werden.
Den Status des Tippbetriebs anzeigen
1. Die Tasten TR + T1 gleichzeitig kurz
drücken und loslassen.
Beachten Sie danach die LEDs:
leuchtet die grüne LED, ist der
Tippbetrieb aktiviert
leuchtet die rote LED, ist der
Tippbetrieb deaktiviert
Den Tippbetrieb aktivieren /deaktivieren
2. 5 Sek. Die Tasten TR + T1 gleichzeitig
5 Sekunden lang drücken.
Je nach Status erfolgt ein Wechsel von
der grünen zur roten LED bzw. umge kehrt, siehe oben.

10.1 Bedienung im Tippbetrieb
i
Wenden der Lamellen
Durch kurzes Tippen der Bedientasten ist eine komfortable
Einstellung der Lamellen einer Jalousie möglich.
Die Lamellen in die Endlage fahren
Halten Sie die Bedientaste länger gedrückt, um die Jalousie bis
in die Endpunkte zu fahren. Durch kurzes Tippen kann die Fahrt
wieder gestoppt werden, s. Seite 13 - „Tastenfunktionen“.

11. Die Drehrichtung / den Modus wechseln

Bei Bedarf können Sie die Drehrichtung eines angemeldeten
Funk-Rohrmotors oder den Modus eines DuoFern Schaltaktors
mit dieser Funktion ändern.
Zur Nutzung der Funktion darf nur ein Teilnehmer
am Wandtaster angemeldet sein.
i
Melden Sie den gewünschten DuoFern Teilnehmer zum
Drehrichtungs- bzw. Moduswechsel an. Falls schon
mehrere Geräte angemeldet sind, müssen diese erst
abgemeldet werden, z.B. durch einen Softwarereset am
Wandtaster.
Prüfen, ob die Drehrichtung / der Modus gewechselt
werden kann
1. Die Tasten TR + T2 gleichzeitig kurz
drücken und loslassen.
Beachten Sie danach die LEDs:

2. 5 Sek. Die Tasten TR + T2 gleichzeitig
5 Sekunden lang drücken.
Zunächst leuchtet die rote LED. Danach
leuchtet die grüne LED 2 Sekunden lang,
wenn die Drehrichtung / der Modus
gewechselt wurde.
Die rote LED leuchtet 2 Sekunden
lang, wenn der Drehrichtungs - bzw.
Moduswechsel fehlgeschlagen ist.

12. Die Batterie wechseln
i
Ist die Batterie entladen, blinkt die rote LED drei Mal nach Betätigen
einer beliebigen Taste für kurze Zeit auf. Die Batterie muss gewechselt werden.
1. Ziehen Sie das Bedienteil vorsichtig vom Wandhalter ab.
2. Drücken Sie die Batterie mit einem nicht leitenden flachen
Gegenstand (z.B. mit einem Plastikstab) vorsichtig aus dem
Batteriefach.
3. Ersetzen Sie die Batterie durch den gleichen Typ „CR2450“.
Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der neuen Batterie auf die richtige
Polung.
4. Stecken Sie anschließend das Bedienteil wieder auf den
Wandhalter.
Der Pluspol muss nach
außen zeigen.

13. Alle Einstellungen löschen, Software-Reset
i
Um den DuoFern Wandtaster wieder in den Auslieferungszustand zurückzusetzen, müssen Sie einen Software-Reset
durchführen.
1. Drücken Sie die Tasten TL + T2 gleich-
zeitig solange, bis die rote LED nach
anfänglichem Blinken dauerhaft rot
leuchtet.
2. Alle Einstellungen wurden gelöscht und auf die Werksein-
stellungen zurückgesetzt. Alle angemeldeten DuoFern Geräte
wurden automatisch abgemeldet.
14. Demontage
i
1. Führen Sie eine Software-Reset durch, um alle DuoFern Geräte
vom DuoFern Wandtaster abzumelden.
2. Ziehen Sie das Bedienteil und anschließend den Abdeckrahmen
von der Wandhalterung ab.

3. Lösen Sie die Wandhalterung von der Wand.
4. Entfernen Sie ggf. die Batterie aus dem DuoFern Wandtaster.

16. Garantiebedingungen
i
RADEMACHER Geräte-Elektronik GmbH gibt eine 24-monatige
Garantie für Neugeräte, die entsprechend der Einbauanleitung
montiert wurden. Von der Garantie abgedeckt sind alle Konstruktionsfehler, Materialfehler und Fabrikationsfehler. Ihre gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüche bleiben von dieser Garantie
unberührt.
Ausgenommen von der Garantie sind:
◆ Fehlerhafter Einbau oder Installation
◆ Nichtbeachtung der Einbau- und Bedienungsanleitung
◆ Unsachgemäße Bedienung oder Beanspruchung
◆ Äußere Einwirkungen wie Stöße, Schläge oder Witterung
◆ Reparaturen und Abänderungen von dritten, nicht autorisier-
ten Stellen
◆ Verwendung ungeeigneter Zubehörteile
◆ Schaden durch unzulässige Überspannungen
(z. B. Blitzeinschlag)
◆ Funktionsstörungen durch Funkfrequenzüberlagerungen
und sonstige Funkstörungen
Voraussetzung für die Garantie ist, dass das Neugerät bei einem
unserer zugelassenen Fachhändler erworben wurde. Dies ist
durch Vorlage einer Rechnungskopie nachzuweisen. Innerhalb
der Garantiezeit auftretende Mängel beseitigt RADEMACHER
kostenlos entweder durch Reparatur oder durch Ersatz der betreffenden Teile oder durch Lieferung eines gleichwertigen oder
neuen Ersatzgerätes. Durch Ersatzlieferung oder Reparatur aus
Garantiegründen tritt keine generelle Verlängerung der ursp rünglichen Garantiezeit ein.

1.1 How to use this manual

◆ Before you begin, please read this manual through com-
pletely and follow all the safety instructions.
◆ Please also read the instruction manuals of the logged on
DuoFern devices as well as of the respective connected
appliance.
◆ This manual is part of the product. Please store it in an
easily accessible place.
◆ When passing the DuoFern Wall Controller on to a third
party, this manual must be passed on as well.
◆ Damage resulting from non-compliance with these instruc-
tions and safety instructions will void the warranty. We
assume no liability for any consequential damage.

3.1 Intended use
i
Only use the DuoFern Wall Controller to log on and control
DuoFern devices.
Operating conditions
◆ The associated tubular motor must be fitted with a mechan-
ical or electronic end position switch.
◆ Only use the DuoFern wall controller in dry rooms.
◆ The installation and operation of the radio systems is only
permitted for those systems and devices where a malfunction
in the transmitter or receiver would not cause a danger to
personnel or property or where this risk is already covered
by other safety equipment.

3.2 Improper use

Using the DuoFern Wall Controller for any other purpose than
previously mentioned is not permissible.
Improper use can lead to serious injuries or property damage.
Never use the radio system (e.g. DuoFern radio system) and its
components for the remote control of appliances and systems
with increased safety-relevant requirements or where there is an
accident risk. Applications of this kind require additional safety
equipment. Observe the respective statutory regulations for the
installation of such systems.
3.3 Expert knowledge required by the installer

The installation and commissioning of the DuoFern Wall Controller
must only be carried out in accordance with the instructions in
this manual.

6. Product description
i
Function
The DuoFern Wall Controller serves to log on and control various
DuoFern devices. You can transfer the desired control commands
to the logged on DuoFern devices with the two operating buttons
T1 and T2. Two LEDs (red/green) provide information on the
respective status of the operation.
Max. number of DuoFern devices
A maximum of 16 DuoFern devices can be logged on. When
logging on, the individual DuoFern devices are automatically
detected and recognised by the DuoFern Wall Controller.
Jog mode
To control Venetian blinds with slats, the DuoFern Wall Controller
can be switched to jog mode.

8.1 Selecting a suitable installation location
i
Avoid installation near disturbing sources
Radio systems that transmit on the same frequency

can cause interference.
◆ Do not install the DuoFern Wall Controller in the
proximity of powerful radio systems.
◆ In order to ensure optimal operation, the DuoFern
Wall Controller should not be installed on a metallic base or near metal objects.

8.2 Installing the DuoFern Wall Controller

The DuoFern Wall Controller 9494-3 is intended for surface
mounting. The supplied wall bracket can be screwed in place
or stuck to the wall.
1. Select and mark the desired installation position.
2. Pull the protective film from the adhesive strip provided and
stick it on the back of the wall bracket.
3. Remove the second protective film and firmly press the wall
bracket with the adhesive strip on to the wall.
Adhesive strip
The labelling TOP/OBEN
must point upwards.
If you wish to screw the wall bracket on, you will need to drill the
according installation holes and use appropriate wall plugs and
screws.

bracket so that the frame lies flush with the wall.

Information for logging on DuoFern devices
Only the same DuoFern devices or device classes
can be logged on to the wall controller.

When logging on, the individual DuoFern devices
are automatically detected and recognised by the
DuoFern Wall Controller.
Please read the instruction manual for the respective
DuoFern device.

Observe the red LED
The red LED flashes quickly if the log-on was unsuccessful. For
example, if...
◆ the maximum number of 16 DuoFern devices is reached.
◆ an unsuitable device is logged on.
1. Switch the desired DuoFern device to the registering mode
(please refer to the relevant instruction manual).
2. 1 sec. Activate the registering mode on the
DuoFern Wall Controller.
Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TL + T1 for 1 second.
The green LED flashes.
120 sec. The registering mode remains active for
approx. 120 seconds.
3. If you have logged on successfully, the green LED
lights up for approx. 2 seconds.

Logging on multi-channel actuators:
1. Switch the desired DuoFern device to the registering mode
(please refer to the relevant instruction manual).
2. Activate the registering mode on the wall controller, as de-
scribed above.
Both LEDs light up continuously if a multi-channel actuator
is detected.
120 sec. The registering mode remains active for
approx. 120 seconds.
3. Accepting the first channel (log on):
Tap on any random button briefly (< 5 seconds).
If the accept command is successful, the green LED flashes
three times.
or
Skipping the first channel:
Press and hold any random button for 5 seconds.
If the skip command is successful, the red LED flashes three
times.
If the command to accept or skip a channel is successful, both
LEDs light up again continuously.

4. Accept or skip the second channel.
Proceed as described in point 3.
5. Log on the next DuoFern device.

1. Switch the desired DuoFern device to the log-off mode (please
refer to the relevant instruction manual).
2. 1 sec. Activate the log-off mode on the
DuoFern Wall Controller.
Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TL + T2 for 1 second.
The red LED flashes.
120 sec. The log-off mode remains active for
approx. 120 seconds.
3. If you have logged off successfully, the green LED
lights up for approx. 2 seconds.

9.3 Clearing the DuoFern network
i
This function enables you to log off all DuoFern devices from the
DuoFern Wall Controller that are no longer accessible via radio.
Not all battery-operated DuoFern devices can be
logged off in this way.
i
A software reset must be carried out in order to log
off and delete all DuoFern devices, see page 61.
1. 5 sec. Activate the clearing function.
Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TL + T1 for 5 seconds.
During the clearing function:
◆ The green LED flashes first,
◆ then the green LED lights up continu-
ously and the red LED flashes until the
clearing function is completed.
2. If the clearing function has been successfully completed, the
green LED then lights up for approx. 2 seconds.
Cancelling the clearing function
You can cancel the clearing function at any time by briefly
pressing any random button.

10. Activating the jog mode
i
In the jog mode, the DuoFern Wall Controller can be used, for
example, to control Venetian blinds.
Displaying the jog mode status
1. Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TR + T1 briefly and release.
Then observe the LEDs:
If the green LED lights up, the
jog mode is activated
If the red LED lights up, the
jog mode is deactivated
Activating / deactivating the jog mode
2. 5 sec. Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TR + T1 for 5 seconds.
The LED will change from green to red
or vice versa depending on the
status.

10.1 Operation in jog mode

Tilting the slats
Tapping the operating buttons briefly enables Venetian blind
slats to be conveniently configured.
Driving the slats into the end position
Press the operating button longer to drive the Venetian blinds
into the end point. The run can be stopped briefly by tapping
the button again briefly, see page 45 - “Button functions”.

11. Changing the rotation direction / mode
i
This function can be used to change the rotation direction of a
logged on radio tubular motor or the mode of a DuoFern Switch
Actuator.
To use this function, only one component may be
logged on to the wall controller.
i
Log on the desired DuoFern component to change the
rotation direction or mode. If several devices are already
logged on, these must first be logged off, for example,
by carrying out a software reset on the wall controller.
Checking whether the rotation direction / mode can be
changed
1. Simultaneously press and hold buttons
TR + T2 briefly and release.
Then observe the LEDs:
If the green LED flashes,
they can be changed
If the red LED flashes,
they cannot be changed

12. Changing the battery
i
If the battery has discharged, the red LED flashes three times
when any random button is pressed for a short time. The battery
must be replaced.
1. Carefully pull the operating unit out of the wall bracket.
2. Carefully press the battery out of the battery compartment
using a flat, non-conductive object (e.g. a plastic rod).
3. Replace the battery with a battery of the same type "CR2450".
Observe the correct polarity when inserting a new battery.
4. Then insert the operating unit into the wall bracket again .
The positive terminal
should point outwards.

13. Deleting all settings, software reset
i
A software reset must be carried out to reset the DuoFern Wall
Controller to the original factory settings.
1. Simultaneously press buttons TL + T2
until the red LED lights up red
continuously after initially
flashing.
2. All settings have been deleted and reset to the original factory
settings. All logged on DuoFern devices have been automatically logged off.
14. Dismantling
i
1. Carry out a software reset to log off all DuoFern devices from
the DuoFern Wall Controller.
2. Carefully pull the operating unit and then the frame out of the
wall bracket.

3. Remove the wall bracket from the wall.
4. If required, remove the battery from the DuoFern Wall
Controller.

16. Warranty terms and conditions
i
RADEMACHER Geräte-Elektronik GmbH will provide a 24-month
warranty for new systems that have been installed in compliance
with the installation instructions. All construction faults, material defects and manufacturing defects shall be covered by the
warranty. Your statutory warranty claims remain unaffected by
this warranty.
The following are not covered by the warranty:
◆ Incorrect fitting or installation
◆ Non-observance of the installation and operating manual
◆ Improper operation or wear and tear
◆ External influences, such as impacts, knocks or weathering
◆ Repairs and modifications by third parties, unauthorised
persons
◆ Use of unsuitable accessories
◆ Damage caused by unacceptable excess voltages (e.g. light-
ning)
◆ Operational malfunctions caused by radio frequency overlap-
ping and other such radio interference
A prerequisite for the warranty is that the new device must have
been purchased from one of our approved specialist retailers.
Proof of this must be provided by presenting a copy of the invoice.
RADEMACHER will remedy any defects that occur within the
warranty period free of charge either by repair or replacement of
the affected parts or by supplying a new replacement unit or one
to the same value. There is no general extension of the original
warranty period by delivery of a replacement or by repair as per
the terms of the warranty.
