Turn power to the i nstallation point OFF at circuit breaker
3.Unfold the SUPPORTARMS until lined up. Loosen theKNOB on the top end of the
FIXTURE CANOPY and remove the PLATE with theFIXTURE LOOPS. Locate the
SPACER TUBE, CHECK RING and the FIXTURE CANOPY over theCOUPLING on
the top center ofthe JUNCTION BOX as shown. Secure them by threadingthe end of
STEM onto the COUPLINGand tighten the HEX COUPLING against the FIXTURE
CANOPY with pliers.
TUBE line up with the STUDS on the SUPPORTARMS.
4.Position the PLATE with the FIXTURE LOOPS back onto thetop end of thefixture and
secure them with theKNOB. Hand tighten until snug.
5. Locate the SIDEARMS. Match theholes on the SIDEARMS withthe STUDS on the
STEM and the SUPPORTARMS. Secure them together by threading the LOCK
BALLS onto the STUDS. Hand tighten until snug.
6.Locate the FIXTURE CHAINSand determine the hanging height of the fixture.
Please note that dependingon the chain material thickness, you might be required to
use chain pliers tospread links open. Proceed toattach the FIXTURE CHAINSonto
the FIXTURE LOOPS andthe CEILING LOOPS.

7 Fasten the UNIVERSAL CROSSBAR tothe OUTLET BOX with (2) OUTLET BOX
SCREWS (not supplied). Proceed tothread LOCK NUTA and LOCK WASHER A
onto the top endof the NIPPLE. Thread theNIPPLE into thecenter of theCROSSBAR.
Locate LOCK NUT B onto the bottom endof the NIPPLE. TightenLOCK NUT A
against the CROSSBAR with pliers until snug.
MAKING THE WIRING CONNECTIONS

Using wire connectors (notsupplied) connect the HOUSE GROUND WIRE to the
FIXTURE GROUND WIRE connect the HOUSE WHITEWIRE to the FIXTURE
SUPPLY WIRE (WHITEor RIBBED SIDE); connect the HOUSE BLACK (or RED)
WIRE to the FIXTURESUPPLY WIRE (BLACK orSMOOTH SIDE). Wrap each
connection with approved electricaltape.

. With the properconnections made, proceed to thread LOCK NUT B andLOCK
WASHER B onto thebottom of theNIPPLE. Lift the CEILING CANOPY
upward and slip the center hole over the end of the NIPPLE Be sure that all
wires are carefully tucked into the OUTLET BOX cavity Secure by threading the
KNOB onto the end of the NIPPLE and hand tighten until snug
10. Position theSHADE over the SOCKET. Secure theSHADE by threading the
SOCKET COLLAR onto the SOCKET. Hand tighten until snug.
11 Install bulbs referring to fixture markings and or labels for maximum wattage

12 Restore power to the installation point ON Retain this sheet for futurereference
