Initial Use
• Make sure that there is sufficient space around the appliance to allow heat to escape and provide sufficient ventilation.
• Clean the appliance. Refer to the section “Care and maintenance”.
• Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
• Insert the thermostat (5) into the thermostat socket (4).
• Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
• Turn the thermostat dial (5) to the maximum temperature.
• Wait for a few minutes until the temperature indicator goes off. The grill plate (2) has reached the required temperature.
• After use, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely.
• Note: If you switch on the appliance for the first time, the appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell for a short period. This is normal operation.
This is not a toy. Children should not be left unattended with the product. This is an electric griddle and will get hot, you MUST always take care when the product is in use as any surface could become hot.

General and Safety Instructions
• Please keep these instructions, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.
• This product is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the product by a person that is responsible for their safety.
• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for any damage or injury caused by the product.
• To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the product unattended. Therefore you have to select a storage place for the product where children are not able to grab it and ensure the cable is not hanging in a downward position.
• The product must be placed on a stable, level surface and ensure that the product is stored in a dry environment.
• Do not use the heater in a wet environment, such as bathroom or kitchen or touch the plug or operate it with wet hands.
• The user must not leave the product unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
• Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage and put the power cable into the socket.
• This product complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the product is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.
• Never move the product by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard and invalidate your warranty. Never use the kettle with a damaged cord.
• This product gets hot during use and takes time to cool down. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having an earthed contact (for class I appliances).
• For additonal safety the appliance should be connected to an outlet that is protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of not more than 30 mA.
• Always ensure the power cord if fully unwound before use.
• The appliance is suitable for domestic use only and should not be used outdoors.
• Place the appliance on a heat-resistant and splashproof surface.
• Do not place the appliance on a hob.
• Make sure that there is sufficient space around the appliance to allow heat to escape and provide sufficient ventilation.
• Do not cover the appliance.

Care and Maintenance
• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
• The device in not dishwasher proof.
• Regularly check the appliance for possible damage.
• Clean the appliance after each use:
• Remove any residues with a paper towel.
• Clean the grill plate with a soft, damp cloth. Once cleaned thoroughly dry with a clean, dry cloth.
• Clean the thermostat with a soft, damp cloth. Once cleaned thoroughly dry with a clean, dry cloth.
• Clean the spatula in soapy water. Rinse the spatula under running water. Once cleaned, thoroughly dry the spatula with a clean, dry cloth.
General and Safety Instructions
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources and ensure that the appliance does not come into contact with flammable material.
• Do not use charcoal or similar combustible fuels.
• Do not operate the appliance if your hands are wet. Do not operate the appliance if you are barefoot.
• Caution: Hot grease can splash from the grill plate.
• Beware of steam and splashes when putting food on the hot grill plate.
• Do not pour cold water onto the hot grill plate. The water will splash and damage the grill plate.
• Use oven gloves if you need to touch the appliance during or shortly after use.
• Only use the appropriate connector to operate the appliance.
• Make sure that the thermostat does not fall into water or other liquids. If the thermostat falls into water or other liquids, do not remove the thermostat with your hands. Immediately remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
• If the thermostat falls into water or other liquids, do not use the thermostat again.
• Do not let metal cutlery touch the grill plate to prevent damage to the ceramic coating.
• Do not move the appliance while it is switched on or is still hot. Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
• Store the appliance in a dry place when not in use. Make sure that children do not have access to stored appliances.

Switching on and off
• To switch on the appliance, insert the mains plug into the wall socket. The temperature
• indicator remains on while the grill plate (5) is being heated. The temperature indicator goes off when grill plate (5) has reached the required temperature.
• While the appliance is switched on, the temperature indicator will illuminate and extinguish as the thermostat (1) switches on and off to maintain the required temperature.
• To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat dial (2) fully counterclockwise and remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
• After use, turn the thermostat dial (2) fully counterclockwise.
• Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
• Remove the thermostat (1) from the thermostat socket (3).
• • Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Defrosting food
• In order to defrost food, put the food on the grill plate.
• Make sure that the mains plug is not inserted into the wall socket.
• Defrosting food on the grill plate is considerably faster than defrosting food on, for example, a ceramic or plastic dish.
Setting the temperature
• Turn the thermostat dial (2) clockwise to increase the temperature of the grill plate (5).
• Turn the thermostat dial (2) counterclockwise to decrease the temperature of the grill plate (5).
Hints and Tips
• Prepare the food before cooking on the griddle.
• Grill the food until it is ready for consumption.
• Experiment with the required time and the required temperature to achieve the best results.
• Note: Small pieces will grill or fry better and more quickly than large pieces.
• Turn the food using a flat wooden or plastic spatula. Turn meat and fish only once in order to prevent them from drying out.

Warranty Claim
• In the unlikely event of a warranty claim, you must contact your retailer.
• Take the griddle to your retailer that you purchased it from along with your proof of purchase and explain the issue with the retailer.
• The retailer will then check the screen house and get in touch with the wholesaler or manufacturer and keep you informed of the progress of the claim.
• The wholesaler or manufacturer will not (unless under special circumstances) get in touch with you as all information will be passed back directly to the retailer.
Warranty Information
This product comes with a full 12 month manufacturers defect warranty and covers any manufacturers defects for one (1) year from the
date of the original purchase. It does not cover any damage occured though:
The product falling or being dropped.
The product has been technically changed by the owner or another third party
Improper use of the product and normal wear and tear.
Screen tears, tent tears or any damage due to high wind conditions or unattended use.
The affected part will be replaced or repaired (manufacturers option) if they are found to be defective within the one (1) year time frame.
The warranty will be void if the product has been subject to neglect, misuse, improper installation, misapplication, alteration or accident
including, but not limited to, improper installation, maintenance or use of unauthorised parts or attachments.
Damage caused by not following the instruction manual in full will invalidate the warranty, if this results in consequential damages, Quest
will not be liable for these damages or any costs incurred due to these damages.
Quest will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the safety instructions are not properly
executed in full.
All claims must be made though the retailer you purchased the product from and not direct with the wholesaler or manufacturer.
Warranty claims cannot be honoured without an original dated receipt and or proof of purchase.
By executing repairs the original warranty period of (1) one year will not be extended, nor the right to a complied new warranty. This
warranty is only legal on European soil. This warranty does not overrule the European directive 2011/83/EU.
This product may not be amended or changed.
