User’s Manual

● Please read the manual carefully before installing and using the unit. ●

We greatly appreciate your choosing our product!

Important Safeguards

1. During the course of transportation and storage, the product should be avoided from incorrect operations such as heavy pressing, strong vibration, soaking etc, which can cause damage of product.

2. The product is designed for ceiling or wall installation, so it can not be installed up-sidedown, and it should be handled properly so as not to bring about mechanical problems affecting the integrative functions of it. The vitreous cover of the dome is complicated optical component, so do not touch it with bare hand(s). Otherwise, the cover might be scraped, and image quality affected.

3. Do not put any foreign objects or spill liquids into the unit.

4. Please follow all electrical standards for safety when it is being connected and adopt the

particular power supply which is provided with the unit. The product‟s RS-485 and video

signal adopt TVS-class lightning damage preventing technology, which can effectively

prevent such pulse signal damage caused by lightning under 500W or electric surge. RS-

485 and video signal should keep enough distance with high voltage equipments and

cables when they are in transmission, and necessary steps should be taken to prevent

lightning damage or power surge.

6. Do not let the camera aim at the sun or object with extreme light when it is switched on or off. Otherwise, the camera‟s CCD might be permanently damaged.

7. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. When mechanical problems arise, do not be in a

haste to do any repairing, please refers to the User‟s Manual. If causes can not be located, please

refer servicing to qualified professionals. All servicing must be done by authorized personnel.

1. Introduction

The smart speed dome camera is a hi-tech product of most advanced manufacturing techniques and many years‟ of accumulated experience, which represents the future trend of hitech monitoring products. It is configured with a high-performance DSP camera with zooming lens. The unit is capable of rapid positioning, consecutive tracing and scanning and real panoramic monitoring. The unit can automatically make adjustment to ambient brightness and object distance. Its digital control and elegantly simple design maximally reduce connection and installation processes of components in the system, improving reliability of the system and facilitate installation and maintenance. Driven by a stepper electric motor, the unit runs smoothly, reacts quickly and locates positions accurately.

The high speed dome camera with various performances can be applied in every walk of life to monitor moving objects in large areas, such as monitoring smart building, bank security, city streets, power departments, airports, bus/railway stations, etc.

 The unit is equipped with a camera system which can automatically identify some brands of

cameras. The cameras belong to the 2 famous brands—SONY and HITACHI.

4. Description of Functions

1. Trace the Target

Users can control pan/tilt to trace the target or change visual angle by keyboard or matrix, and target size on the screen can change by control zoom. With the movement of the camera, the speed dome camera can automatically adjust lens to get clarity picture on the screen when zoom focus and aperture is set to auto mode (default).

2． Automatic Adjustment of Focal Length/Movement Speed

When the focus is long and in the mode of manual adjustment, even the slightest movement of the joystick would make the highly-sensitive dome camera to move quickly, causing pictures losses. Based on human design, the dome can automatically adjust the manually controlled dome pan/tilt speed according to the current focal length, making the manual target tracing an easy operation.

3． Automatic Flip

Keep the tilt travel down to bottom, and the dome can automatically give a pan 180° flip, then a tilt 90° flip, which enables the user to observe rear objects, and ensures tilt 180° consecutive panoramic monitoring.

4. Setup and Preview Preset Positions

The preset function works in this way: the dome camera stores data of the current dome pan/tilt angles and lens focal length; when needed, preview these data, then move the dome and camera to the assigned position. The user can quickly and conveniently preview the preset position with the controlling keyboard. The dome camera support 128 preset positions.

5. Automatic Tours

The automatic tour function is a built-in function of the camera, which is realized by beforehand programming, that is, arranging preset positions into the automatic tour in the desired order, then, the user can use such equipment as controlling keyboard to make the dome camera automatically move to and fro along the preset positions for preset time.

● Automatic tour among preset positions can be realized through inserting preset

positions into the tour.

● The tour order is programmable. When running a tour, and the dwell time at the

preset positions is adjustable.

● Sixteen preset positions can be stored in the tour.

6. Automatic Scanning

Left/right positions can be setup through controlling keyboard, and the camera can auto-scan

horizontally between the left position and right position, at the preset speed.

7. Camera Lens Control

To get desired panoramic view or close shot, the focal length can be adjusted through the controlling keyboard.

Focus Control

The system has automatic focus function (default). With its movement, the camera can automatically adjust focus to the center of the object view to get clear picture. Under special circumstances, the user can manually adjust the focus to achieve desired image effect.

● Manual focus is okay through the controlling keyboard or matrix. For details, please

refer to the operation manual of the controlling keyboard or matrix.

● In the state of manual focus, operating focal length control will automatically focus

on objects. If the dome camera is setup to resume auto-focus by joystick operation, when operating the joystick, the dome camera will automatically focus. If an autofocus resumption time is setup, the dome camera will resume auto-focus after the setup resumption time period without receiving controlling orders.

Under the following circumstances, the camera can not carry out auto-focus:

● When the object is not the center of the view

● When simultaneously observe a far object and a near one, clarity of both can not be

guaranteed.

● When observing objects of extreme brightness, such as neon lights, spotlight, etc

● When the object is behind glass with water drops or dust

● When the object moves very fast

● When the object is large-size and drab, such as wall

● When the object is too dark or fuzzy

Aperture Control

● The system has automatic aperture function (default). The aperture can auto-sense the

surrounding brightness and make quick adjustment, which stabilizes image brightness.

● To obtain desired image brightness, the aperture can be adjusted manually through the

controlling keyboard.

Automatic Backlight

The camera can automatically backlight on a discretionary basis. In extremely bright background, the camera can backlight those relatively dark objects, while adjust the lighting of the bright background, which ensures the clarity of images, and prevents the image from becoming flashing whiteness due to the extremely bright background and also avoids indiscernible dark objects

Automatic White Balance

Based on ambient brightness, the camera can automatically adjust itself to represent real colors.

5. Setup, Installation and Connection

5.1 High Speed Dome Camera Address, Baud Rate and Protocol Setup

Before installation of the dome camera, you must confirm the protocol and Baud rate,

and address code of the controlling system, then, setup the switches to conform to the controlling system. Please note that Binary System is adopted for all the switches code. The corresponding switch setup is shown in the following figure:

5.1.1 Setup Communication Protocol and Baudrate of the High Speed Dome Camera:

DIP-1 to DIP-2 of SW2 on the PCB panel is for communication protocol setup. Please

refer to the following table:

5.1.2 Setup Baud Rate of Communication

DIP-3 to DIP-4 of SW2 on the PCB panel is for Baudrate setup. The default setup is 4800bps. Please refer to the following table:

5.1.3 Setup the Address of the Dome Camera

Before formal operation, the address of the dome camera should be setup. SW1 on the

PCB panel is used to set address of the dome camera from 1 to 255. The coding switches from DIP-1 to DIP-8 are equivalent to a 8-bit binary figure. The state “ON” of each bit means “1” while”OFF”means”0”. Corresponding state of coding switches and address is shown in the appendix table.

◆ If protocol, address and Baud rate are setup when power is on, then the high speed dome

camera must be switched off and restarted to make the setup valid.

5.1.4 RS-485 Bus Matching Resistor

If the dome camera is used at the farthest terminal, there should be a parallel connection of a

120Ω terminal matching resistor between A, B lines of RS485.

5.2 Installation and Connection

There are three types of the installation of high speed dome camera, whose dimensions are

shown below:

Remarks:

1. The connection must be carried out by qualified personnel conforming to local regulations.

2. For connection details, please refer to the silk-screen printing indications and installation

instructions on the PCB panel.

3. The vitreous cover of the dome camera is complicated optical component, so do not touch it

with bare hand(s). Otherwise, the cover might be scraped, and image quality affected.

4. To ensure the clarity of images, please clean the vitreous cover regularly. Take care when

cleaning it. You can only hold the outer ring of the vitreous cover. Do not touch it with bare hand(s), for acid sweat left may erode the surface plating of the vitreous cover, or hard things may scrape the vitreous cover leading to fuzzy image and, hence, affecting image quality. Please use adequately soft dry cloth or other substitutes to clean the inner and outer surfaces. If the vitreous cover is extremely dirty, it may be cleaned with mild detergent.

Preparation of the Installation

5.2.1 Requirement for the Installation

· To avoid mistakes, installation must be done by qualified personnel conforming to related regulations.

· Please check whether the attachments are all ready, and whether the installing location and type of installation are compatible.

The components of the high speed dome camera include bracket, housings, power supply,

decoding panel, dome, temperature controlling devices, etc.

When the dome camera leaves factory, it has undergone installation testing, so the user

only needs to install the bracket, and fix the dome camera on the bracket.

However, before installation, the user should open the vitreous cover and make sure the

screws are tight and cable connectors not loose.

5.2.2 Wall Installation of Dome Camera

Installation of Wall Bracket Remarks: The wall of the selected installation location must be firm without peeling. To

avoid quivering images resulting from unstable installation, make sure the place for installation can sustain five times the total weight of the dome camera, the bracket and the base.

A Use the bracket as template and draw the positions of the installing holes on the desired

wall locus;

B Use an electric drill to make four holes for M6 screws on the above-drawn positions, and

drive in the special M6 screws;

C Push the power cable, communication cable and video cable through the bracket tube,

leaving long enough cables for connection;

D Fix the bracket firmly on the wall with four M6 screw nuts and washers.

Installation of high Speed Dome Camera

a. Unpacking the carton and carefully take out the dome camera and its attachments, open

the vitreous cover and take out the fillings.

b. Loosen the M3 screws connecting the camera and the outer housing, and swivel the camera left for 15 degrees and remove it, then check cable connectors and see if any of them loose and setup the coding switch. c Restore the plastic washer to the camera, then tighten the installation of camera and outer

housing according to the installation instructions indicated below:

Locate the three installing slots at the bottom of the camera into the three pegs on the housing peg-board (be sure in right direction), and lock them in place then swivel the camera right for 15 degrees, to the point where the fixing screw holes in the camera meet the corresponding screws. Finally, fix the camera with the outer housing with M3x6 screws.

Insert the cables into the bracket tube and pull them through, then push the tube screw on the top of the outer housing into the screw hole of the wall bracket, then fix it on the bracket with 3 M6 screws.

Step 1

Put the power device into the connected wall bracket and pin the power device with the power pinning board, then, tighten the screw lest the power device slides out. (See the above figure)

Remarks: Please mount the housing-installed wall bracket on the ancillary peg as shown in the figure below, which can save you troubles.

Pull the power cable, video cable and controlling cable out of the bracket tube, and direct the dotted-line part shown in the figure to the corresponding pegs on the installed peg-board, then push the bracket downward until it locks in place. After this, direct the screw on the bracket to one corresponding hole on the lower part of the peg-board and tighten the screw. (See the above figure)

Connection of Exterior Cables

Connect BNC video outlet of the dome camera with the already disposed video cable, the power cable with the already disposed power cable (DC14V or AC24V) and RS485 controlling cable with already disposed RS485 controlling cable. The signal cable of high speed dome camera is shown below:

◆ Make sure the polarity of RS485 controlling cable connection is correct, A: RS485

positive, B: RS485 negative.

◆ If wrongly connected, the dome camera will be out of control.

Alarm connection and installation

Connect the alarm cables according to the sketch below. Once distinguishing the alarm signal,

the speed dome will immediately act as per the process set before, it will start the camera,

display the image of the alarm zone on the monitor, adjust the speed dome at the alarm

point, and monitor the preset position, record what happens at the alarm zone as soon as

possible. Connection of the alarm cables as the sketch below:

Attention: a. Alarm input must be ON/OFF input signal, any other types of input signal(such as power voltage etc) is possible to damage the unit. When there is alarm signal from multi channels, the unit will response to them one by one, the interval is 2 seconds. b. Once there is alarm signal coming in, the unit will not response to “Scan” , “Cruising” etc functions. Manual operation is needed to restore “Scan” , “Cruising” etc functions. c. No matter the alarm function is opened or closed, alarm output always responds. For example, if the alarm function of the unit is not open, when the unit distinguish alarm signal, the unit will not be adjusted to corresponding preset position, but the alarm output still responds. d. The operation method for alarm function is: through previewing the No. 147 preset position to open alarm function, through previewing No. 148 preset position to close alarm function.

Switching on Power

a Make sure the polarity of plugs, sockets and cables connection is correct, then switch on

power b The dome camera begins to do the self-check by moving pan 360°, tilt 90° to check the camera lens, the electrical and mechanical structures in pan/tilt state, then executing the restoration program and resuming its original position. After the dome camera stops moving, it finishes self-check and is ready to receive controlling instructions

c Use controlling device to control the dome camera, checking whether it can perform dome and camera lens functions. If not, please check setups of communication protocol, Baud rate and address, and connection of 485 controlling cable.

Vitreous Cover Installation

a To avoid scraping the vitreous cover, please clean the dust and stain on it with soft cloth; b Aim the four special screw holes in the vitreous cover at those in the outer housing, and fix it with four special screws.

5.2.3 Ceiling Style Installation

Remarks: The wall of the selected installation location must be firm without peeling. To

avoid quivering images resulting from unstable installation, make sure the place for installation can sustain five times the total weight of the dome camera, the bracket and the base.

A Use the bracket as template and draw the positions of the installing holes on the desired

wall locus;

B Use an electric drill to make four holes for M6 screws on the above-drawn positions, and

drive in the special M6 screws;

C Push the power cable, communication cable and video cable through the bracket tube,

leaving long enough cables for connection;

D Fix the bracket firmly on the wall with three M5 screw nuts and washers.

Installation of high Speed Dome Camera

a. Unpacking the carton and carefully take out the dome camera and its attachments, open

the vitreous cover and take out the fillings.

b. Loosen the M3 screws connecting the camera and the outer housing, and swivel the camera left for 15 degrees and remove it. Check cable connectors and see if any of them loose and setup the coding switch. c Restore the plastic washer to the camera, then tighten the installation of camera and outer housing according to the installation instructions of the camera;

d. Insert the connecting cables into the bracket tube, then push the tube screw on the top of

the outer housing into the suspending bracket, fix it on the bracket with 3 M6 screws.

6. Control high Speed Dome Camera by Keyboard

Intelligent control and all of its functions can be realized through the keyboard‟s control of

dome camera. Because different controlling system interfaces may differ in operation, operation

details are subject to the related manufacturer‟s manuals. Under certain circumstances of special

requirements and operations, please refer to dealers for necessary information.

6.1 Setup and Preview Preset Positions

The function of preset positions works in this way: the dome camera saves the current pan/tilt parameters in number order (1-128), quickly previews those parameters when needed, and adjust the dome to the corresponding positions. Users can use such devices as controlling keyboard to save and preview preset positions fast and conveniently. The dome camera can support 128 preset positions.

6.1.1 Setup the Preset Positions

After adjusting the dome camera to optimal state (including position, lens, focus and

aperture), enter the number(1～128) for preset position number, meanwhile, LED displays the

preset position number. Then press the “PRESET” key. If LED displays the address again, you

have setup the preset position successfully.

a. Use the joystick to move the dome camera to the desired position and adjust the camera lens.

◆ Manual focus approach can be adopted to setup preset positions for distant objects, that is, setup optimal focal image storage through the keys “FOCUS+”and “FOCUS-”on the controlling keyboard to avoid fuzzy images resulting from the interference of other distant objects.

6.1.2 Preview Preset Positions

The function enables the dome camera to quickly return to the preset position.

Enter the number(1～128) key for preset position number which you need preview, and

LED displays the preset position number. Then, press the “PREVIEW” key. The dome camera

will return to the preset position.

Setup default position

Automatic tour is the important function of the dome camera, and the user can operate to setup any tour route. With only one external order, the dome camera will automatically run a tour following the designated route.

6.2.1 Setup of Tours

a. In the keyboard initialization, enter number “140” and press the “PREVIEW” key to enter the

tour setup.

b. After entering the setup, add preset position number to the tour. Enter the first desired preset

position number and press the “PREVIEW” key, and the first preset position is

successful. Then go the second one. Enter the second desired preset position number and

press the “PREVIEW” key, and the second preset position is successful. More preset

position can be added in the same way.

c. After all the preset positions having been added in the tour, enter the number “141” on the

keyboard and press the “PREVIEW” key to exit the tour setup.

1. Start Running a Tour

In the keyboard initialization, enter number “142” and press the “PREVIEW” key to start running the preset tour.

Example: Setup the tour order to be 1→2→5→3→4→6 (please setup preset positions

before tour setup)

9. Preview preset position 142 to start running the tour, and the dome camera

runs the tour and begins scanning in the order of 1→2→5→3→4→6. If other devices not compatible to the dome camera and the protocol are used, some special functions of the dome camera may not be operational. (Enter number “142”and press the “PREVIEW” key)

6.3 Automatic Tour Function of high Speed Dome Camera (Special Keyboard)

6.3.1 Setup Tours Data

In the keyboard initialization, if not, pressing “ESC” to let the keyboard return initialization,

press “FUN” and the LED displays “F-1”( setup of auto-tour ). Press “ACK” and the LED displays “g-1”(setup of auto-tour number “1-4”). Enter tour number (1-4), then press “ACK” and the LED displays “P00”.

Now press “PAN-A” to add preset positions to the tour and the LED displays “P--”. Enter preset position number(1-128) , then press ”ACK” and the LED displays “S01” which means motor speed to the preset position (dome camera with motor speed value from 1(slow)～8(fast) ).

Enter motor speed value, then press “ACK” and the LED displays “005” which means dwell

time(1-255 seconds). Enter dwell time value, then press ”ACK” and the LED displays “PXX” (“XX” indicates the preset position number). Above is the operation to add a preset position for

the tour.

If you want add more preset positions, just press ”PAN-A” key and repeat above steps.

After all the preset positions have been added to the tour, press”F2/OFF” or “EXIT”(to cancel

the present operation) and the LED displays “g-1” again.

Example: setup the second tour to arrange the tour order to be 1→3→4→5→2→6. For preset position No.1, the speed is 08, dwell time 001; For preset position No.2, the speed is 04, dwell time 003; For preset position No.3, the speed is 01, dwell time 005; For preset position No.4, the speed is 06, dwell time 002; For preset position No.5, the speed is 08, dwell time 003; For preset position No.6, the speed is 08, dwell time 004.

6. Press “PAN-A” to add the fifth preset position and the LED displays “P - -”, enter preset position number “02”, then press “ACK” and the LED displays “S01”; enter speed“04”, then

press “ACK” and the LED displays “005”; enter dwell time “003”, then press “ACK” and the

LED displays “P01”

7. Press “PAN-A” to add the sixth preset position and the LED displays “P - -”, enter preset

position number “06”, then press “ACK” and the LED displays “S01”; enter speed“08”, then

press “ACK” and the LED displays “005”; enter dwell time “004”, then press “ACK” and the

LED displays “P01”

8. Press “F2/OFF” to exit operation and the LED displays “g - 1”, then press “EXIT” to return

the keyboard to initialization.

 Four tours can be setup, and each tour can include up to 16 tour positions (any preset

position from 1-128)

 Setup desired tour positions in the tour  Dwell time on each preset position can be different (1-225 sec.), and motor speed to each

position can also be different (1-8 range)

6.3.2 Preview a Tour

In the keyboard initialization, enter the tour number (1-4) and press ”GRP” key, then the dome camera begins running the tour. If a position is not preset or cancelled after being preset, it will not be scanned.

6.4 Automatic Scan (Scan between Two Points)

Scroll the dome camera to the start position of the scan between two points (point A) and press “Pan-A” key. Scroll the dome camera to the end position (point B) and press “Pan-B” key.

Starting a external commander can make dome camera move between “A” and “B”. (Enter the speed number(1～128), press “auto” key and the pan begin to scan between the two points.)

6.4.1 Scan between Two Points

After setting up the two points, enter the scan speed (1-28level). Take speed of 32nd level for example.

Example: Scan between two points with the speed of 32 level a. Operate the joystick to the first point b. Press “Pan-A” key c. Operate the joystick to the second point

d. Press “Pan-B” key

e. Enter “32” and then, press “AUTO” key (indicating scanning at the 32

range

7. The Setup, Entering and Exit of Default Position

The unit has a default position. The user can setup default position for a key monitoring area according to actual conditions. If not operated after 10 minutes, the dome camera will automatically monitor the preset position.

1. Setup of the Default Position

Move the dome camera to a key monitoring area through the controlling keyboard, and enter

number “164” from the keyboard and press the “PREVIEW” key, and the setup is successful.

2. Entering and Exit the Default Position

The user can enter or exit the function of default position through the keyboard. Enter

number “162”and press the “PREVIEW” key, and the function is activated.

Enter number “163”and press the “PREVIEW” key, and exit the function.

7. MENU FOR SYSTEM SETUP

A. Common Operation:

a. Power on and self-checking of the Speed Dome:

Once power on, the unit will carry out self-checking process. The unit pans slowly to the default horizontal 180°postion, then tilt to 42°. The lens zoom from far to near, then from near to far. During the self-checking process, the corresponding system information will be displayed on the screen, as shown below:

This indicates operations over the system can be carried out now. The detailed operation method will be introduced in the later chapters.

b. Enter and exit the Main Menu

1) The Main Menu will be displayed when press “95 PREVIEW”. Setup with any menu has to be through Main Menu.

2) The Main Menu will be exited when press “IRIS-”.

c. Basic operation with the Menu and Keyboard.

[IRIS+] It means “Enlarge Iris” when viewing image, it means “Save/Return” when

setting up menu

[IRIS-] It means “Narrow Iris” when viewing image, it means “Exit the whole setup

process without saving the setup” when setting up menu

[FOCUS+] Focus to far. It means “Enter lower grade menu or enter the setup” when

setting up menu.

[FOCUS-] Focus to near. It means “Delete or decrease” when setting up menu.

[ZOOM+] Focus lenth shorter.

[ZOOM-] Focus lenth longer

Joystick Up: to Choose the above one in Menu Setup option, to make the camera turn

upward in Image Option.

Joystick Down: to Choose the below one in Menu Setup option, to make the camera

turn downward in Image Option.

Joystick Left: to Choose the left one in Menu Setup option, to make the camera turn

left in Image Option.

Joystick Right: to Choose the right one in Menu Setup option, to make the camera turn

right in Image Option.

When carrying out number setup, you need only press on FOCUS+、 FOCUS- without release,

the number will increase or decrease continuously.

7.1. System Information Setup

7.1.1 Edit the title of the Speed Dome

When multi Speed Domes are used in the system, in order to more easily identify the Speed Domes, Speed dome title setup function can be used. The setup method as below:

1. Press 95+PREVIEW to enterthe Main Menu.

2. Operate the joystick to move the cursor to [1 System information

setup], then press [FOCUS+] to enter the lower menu:

Attention： 1) There are 5 input mode: ABC input, abc input,

number input, pinyin input and Character input. When the

cursor is moved to “ ABC input”, press [FOCUS+] to confirm the input mode, then corresponding character is shown. Move the joystick downward to character, move the joystick to left or right to the required character, then press [FOCUS+] to confirm the required character. If the required character is not in the current line, you may move the joystick to left to enter the next line.

2) If Pinyin input mode is chosen, when the required letters are confirmed, at most 6 Chinese characters will be displayed on the upper line for your choice. Move the joystick upward to the Chinese Characters Choosing zone, then move left or right to the required Chinese character and press [FOCUS+] to choose it. Unde other input mode, you can directly choose the character and press [FOCUS+] to

confirm.

3) At most 10 Chinese characters are acceptable for the Title. Well, it is up to 20 acceptable for letters and characters.

7. After the setup finished, press [IRIS+] key to save and

return to the upper grade menu.

8. Press [IRIS-] key to exit the menu.

The detailed operation method for editting speed dome title is to be

introduced below:

Take editing title “智能高速球1Aa！” as an example:

According to the content of the title, the 5 types of input mode is as following in turn: Pinyin input mode, number input mode, capital letters input mode, Small letters input mode and sign input mode. That is the turn to edit the title.

1. Firstly display the menu as Figure 1 (in this menu, the “High Speed Dome” is the ex-work default setup). Press [FOCUS-] key to delete the default setup. Now there is not any character behind the “Title”, now you can edit the title.

2. Choose Pinyin input mode:: A: Move the joystick downward and move the cursor to “ABC

input”, press [FOCUS+] to choose input mode;

B: after choosing the “Pinyin input mode”, (as Figure

2), move the cursor to Pinyin letters option zone, find the first letter Z of “智”‟s pinyin “ZHI”, if there is no Z in the current letter line, move the joystick to left until Z appears, then move the cursor to right to Z, then press [FOCUS+] to confirm the letter Z, then the menu is shown as the picture 3;

the first Chinese character is input successfully. Just as what is shown in Figure 4, after you press FOCUS+ key to confirm the character, the cursor automatically return to the pinyin letter optional zone and ready to choose the pinyin letter for the next Chinese character.

A: After the number is input well, move the cursor upward to input Mode Optional Area, press [FOCUS+] key to Choose Capital Letter, Small Letter and Sign input modes in turn.(The operation process is the same as Number input.)

Add “Aa!” to Title Editting Area, now “智能高速球 1Aa!” is shown in the Title Editting

Area, which means the title is editted successfully. As Figure 8.

Attention: So long as the “Speed Dome Title”

function in the “Title Display Setup” is set as “ON”, users can see the title information more

conveniently and more promptly. The operating process also applies to the “Title Editting” in “Preset positon setup” function. No more detailed description in the following chapters. To facilitate your more smooth operating, please read carefully.

7.1.3 Pan/Tilt parameter setup

Through the setup of the Pan/Tilt parameter, the movement of the Speed

Dome will be controlled accordingly, which is very important for the control of the image.

1. press 95+PREVIEW to enter the Main Menu.

Operate the joystick upward or downward to move the cursor to [System information setup]，press [FOCUS+] to enter next grade menu. 3． Operate the joystick upward or downward to move the cursor to [Pan/Tilt parameter setup]， press [FOCUS+] to enter Pan/Tilt Parameter Setup interface, now the cursor is at “Auto flip On”.

4. There are 4 setup options under Pan/Tilt Parameter Setup: Autoflip, Focus Ratio Control, Leisure Time, Leisure Activated functions.

5. Autoflip

Operate the joystick to move the cursor to [Autoflip] option, press [FOCUS+] key to enter Autoflip Setup function, there is ON/OFF switchable. If [ON] is chosen, it means [Autoflip] function is opened. Well, [OFF] means closed. Press [IRIS+] to return to the upper grade menu.

☆Small operating know-how

If Autoflip function is open, when user move the speed dome to the bottom(vertical), if the user still presses on the joystick without release, the lens will automatically pan 180°, so that the situation at the back can be observed directly. Thus the the whole range of 180° can be monitored.

6. Focus Ratio Control

Operate the joystick to move the cursor to

[Focus Ratio Control] option. Press [FOCUS+] to enter Focus Ratio

Control function setup. The setup switches between ON and OFF, When ON is chosen, it means that Speed Matching Function is opened. Well, OFF means closed. Press [IRIS+] to return to the upper grade menu.

☆ Small tip

When manually adjusting, if the focus length is far, due to the high speed reaction of the speed dome, the image will move very quickly even the joystick is slightly touched, which may cause the lost of image; when the Focus Length is near, the image may trembles. Well, due to some special configuration inside the speed dome, the unit can automatically adjust the pan and tilt speed, so that the manual operating object tracing could be more convenient and easier.

7. Leisure Time

Operate the joystick to move the cursor to [Leisure Time] option, press [FOCUS+] key to increase the time, press [FOCUS-] to decrease time.

☆This setup allow the speed dome has a period of idle time(1-

240Minutes), after which it is to carry out a dictated action. Default setup is 0, which means it will not carry out any action.

8. Leisure time activated function

Operate the joystick to move the cursor to [Leisure time activated function]

option， repeatedly press [FOCUS+] key to choose required option (Close, preset postion 64, Scan left and right, tour 1） .

☆[Idle time activated function] means the action which is to be carried out after it is activated. If the [Idle Time] is set as 0, this setup is invalid.

B： Operate the joystick to right to the first setup area“000”（ preset position）。press[FOCUS+]button to increase； press[FOCUS-]button to decrease， range of （ 001-128），set the preset positon to“001”；

4、 The cursor is point to the first alarm point setup when enter the

menu， it give tacit consent to N/A（ Off） state。 Next we use first alarm point setup [Alarm 1 Preview preset position ： N/A]as an example， Must set for the preset position first before set for the alarm ， preset position‟s range of 001-064， it is easy for set the alarm point：

A、 Press[FOCUS+] button open the alarm setup， the“N/A”change to“001”，it shows the first alarm point has been on， alarm point is the 1st preset position。

B、 If there is a need to set any preset position among 001-064， just press [FOCUS+]to increase or [FOCUS-]to decrease。

C、 It‟s the same method for the others。 5、 Speed dome has 4 lines of alarm input， 1st line is for alarm

output， achieve for alarm， send external alarm signal to speed dome， camera turn to the alarm place to shoot，and show the responds to the screen。

6、 Press [IRIS+] button back。

7、 Press [IRIS-] button exit menu。

Attention：

Alarm input must be On/Off‟ input signal， any other input may damage the speed dome。When these are many place has alarm signal，speed dome will respond to every alarm signal, the timing is 2 seconds.

Whenever theris alarm signal ，speed dome will not respond to „cruise or scan‟and any

other functions。 It requit for direct manual control to resume these functions。

No matter speed dome‟s alarm function is On or

Off， It‟s alarm output is always has response， Example: Speed dome‟s alarm function not On

When speed dome identify the alarm signal ,it will not change to the correspond‟s preset position，but the alarm output will still has respond。

7． 7. 1 Protect privacy setrup This function is only effective for SONY机芯。 .

1） Move the cursor to [Privacy region

setup]， press[FOCUS+]butter to confirm， operate joystick to shift

screen，let the region which needs to protect to show on the screen；

2） Press[FOCUS+] button， screen will show white colour‟s

shield area，now choose for the privacy area， operate joystick upwards ,downwards ,right and left to adjust the shield area， let the shield area in the middle ， choose the shield area which needs to protect and press[FOCUS+] button to save the place。

3） After confirm for the place ,screen will show a prompt for the save ，operate joystick upwards to increase for the hight； operate joystick upwards to decrease for the hight； operate joystick right to

decrease for the wide，operate joystick left to increase for the wide.After confirm,press[FOCUS+] button to save。 The cursor back to Privacy region setup’s interface ，and continue with the next setting，at the same time ,the activate change to On automatically。

， 5、 [Activate] activate /closepresent privacy window， there is

two options： [On] shows to activate the present privacy region， [Off] shows to close the present privacy region。

6、 [Delete] clesr for present privacy window setup， sfter

clear the window，the state will automatically change to Off。

7、 Press[IRIS+] button back。 8、 Press [IRIS-] button exit menu。
