USER INSTRUCTIONS

As with all electrical appliances, it is important that all safeguards are followed. We therefore ask you to read through these instructions carefully and to keep them in a safe place for future reference.

Along with these instructions the box should also contain the following items
The most important item is a QE-7010 wall heater 1 - Remote control 2 - Woodscrews, 35 mm long 2 - plastic wall-plugs used for fixing the heater to a brick or concrete wall

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ALL ELECTRICAL WORK SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT BY A COMPETENT ELECTRICIAN
1 Decide on a suitable location. 2 Mark the position for the 2 No.8 Woodscrews. (supplied) 3 Fit the screws leaving the screws protruding 15mm from the wall. 4 Mark the position on the wall for the 13A Fused Spur connection. 5 Install the fused spur back box and supply cable. (Surface mount or sunken) 6 Mount the heater on to the 2 off No.8 Woodscrews. 7 Ensure that the mains supply is turned off. 8 Connect the supply to the fused spur front plate. 9 Connect the unit to the front plate as described below. 10 Replace the front plate. 11 Installation is now complete.
CONNECTION DETAILS
THIS UNIT MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE MAINS SUPPLY BY A SWITCHED FUSED SPUR
FITTED WITH A 10A FUSE
The wires in the cable attached to this unit are coloured in accordance with the following code:-
BLUE ============= NEUTRAL BROWN ============= LIVE
This unit does not require an earth wire as the case is Double Insulated.
As the colour may not correspond with the markings indentifying the terminals in the fused spur proceed as follows.
Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked ‘N LOAD’
Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked ‘L LOAD’

OPERATION
There may be a trace of smoke or odour during the first few minutes of initial use or when the unit has not been used for a period of time. This is quite normal and will quickly disappear.
FROM THE FRONT PANEL
To switch on the appliance press the red rocker switch to the ON position. The switch is located on the BOTTOM of the unit below the front panel.
Pressing the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the heater will switch the FAN on.
Pressing the MODE button selects 1000W low heat setting.
By Pressing the MODE button again the 2000W high heat setting will be selected.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit OFF.
The timer can be set from ½ hour to 7 ½ hours by pressing the TIMER button which steps up ½ hour with each press.
To turn off the unit press the ON/OFF button on the front panel as detailed above or press the RED rocker switch to the OFF position.
FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control requires two AAA batteries. (not supplied)
To switch on the appliance press the red rocker switch to the ON position as detailed above.
Press the ON/OFF button on the remote control to switch on the FAN.
Pressing the 1000W button will select the low heat setting.
Pressing the 2000W button will select the high heat setting.
The timer can be set from ½ hour to 7 ½ hours by pressing the TIMER button which steps up ½ hour with each press.
To turn off the unit press the ON/OFF button.
ATTENTION. When the unit is switched off the unit will continue to blow cool air for 60 seconds before shutting down.
A thermal overload protector is built into the unit to prevent overheating. If the unit overheats it will shut down automatically.

CARE AND CLEANING
The unit should be cleaned regularly.
Isolate from the mains supply and allow the unit to cool. Wipe over with a damp cloth.
Do not use detergents or abrasives.
Do not scrape the surfaces with sharp hand tools.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and fluff from the vents.
SAFETY WARNINGS
This product is not a toy. It should not be used by children or infirm persons without supervision.
The appliance must be fastened to a wall with the air outlet to the bottom. DO NOT mount the unit any other way.
Isolate from the mains supply when not in use or when cleaning the unit.
DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced to avoid
any hazard.
Parts of the heater casing may get hot when in use. Do not let bare skin touch any hot surface as they could burn.
Do not allow the unit to get wet.
Do not use the heater in dusty environments or where flammable vapours are present.
Do not place the heater near any other source of heat.
Do not cover the heater. A fire may occur if the heater comes into contact with any flammable material (Curtains,
Drapes, Bedding etc...) when in use.
Do not use the unit in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers, wash basins or swimming pools.
Do not leave switched on unattended overnight.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use this appliance for other than its intended purpose. This appliance is for interior use only.
Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance in any way. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside.
Do not insert, or allow to be inserted any foreign objects into the inlet or output openings as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the unit.
It is not possible use an external programmer, timer or any other device to switch the heater on automatically, as a fire risk exists, a positive manual press of a button is needed to switch the unit ON.
Only use the built in autotimer while the unit is supervised.
GUARANTEE & WARRANTY
This product is covered with a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase against faulty workmanship and components. Proof of date of purchase will be required.
