Purpose of This Release
Pathlight VX 2.4.3 includes several resolved issues, support for EMC Flare Code 19/44, and updated drive
and library firmware levels. These notes also provide auxiliary firmware compatibility information. Visit

New Features and Enhancements
The Pathlight VX 2.4.3 release addresses known issues . There are no new features or enhan cements. See
The 2.4.3 release enforces use of Quantum-approved SFPs in the SNC’s FC blades. If an FC blade uses
SFPs that are not approved, then these SFPs need to be replaced as part of the Pathlight VX software
upgrade. Use Table 3
to determine which SFPs are Quantum-approved for use in the SNC’s FC blades.

This SFP model is supported with the exception of those manufactured in September or October 2004.

Resolved Issues
This release of Pathlight VX software resolved the following issues.
Pathlight VX management server detects only 8 LUNs on switchless systems
upgraded to Pathlight VX 2.4.1.
The vmc to vmcComm interface hangs, requiring a reboot.
Add support for Daylight Savings Time changes in 2007.
