Instructions for cable CM5+

The instructions depend upon which Turbo and flash
models you have.

Turbo Z Battery (QTZ)

The Turbo Z will supply high voltage for flash and low voltage for
computer functions. Internal AA batteries
are not required in the flash. Set the flash power switch
to OFF when powering these flashes with the Turbo Z
and CM5+ cable.

Turbo Battery (QTB)

For 54MZ-3, follow the instructions above. The Turbo
will perform flawlessly.

For 50MZ-5 and 70MZ-4/5, the Turbo and CM5+ will
work properly until the Turbo has just two remaining
“fuel gauge” indicators lit. At this point these flashes
will stop working due to the low voltage requirements
of their computer circuits. Turbo Battery capacity will be
approximately 100-150 flashes (approximately equivalent
to the QTZ above).
