Omicron 4 – OM4
1.0 Introduction
Omicron 4 is a lightweight, versatile, high power LED ring light.
Omicron 4 provides continuous high quality video LED lighting. Designed specifically for 35mm DSLR type cameras, Omicron 4 can be easily adapted to other video camera types.
Omicron 4‘s “chromatically correct” light spectrum emanates from 64 critically color-balanced LEDs. A balanced mix of cool white, warm white and colored LEDs fill in the spectral gaps that are characteristic of white-only LED lights.
The wide range of adjustable color temperature (2500K – 6500K) of Omicron 4 can emulate traditional daylight and tungsten sources.
The light intensity of Omicron 4 can be dimmed from 100% to 0% without altering color temperature.
The Automatic Lighting Track (ALT) will automatically adjust Omicron 4’s light intensity as ambient lighting conditions change, or the distance to the subject changes.
The light intensity and color temperature can be stored into 8 Pre-sets and can be quickly recalled when needed.
Omicron 4 can be powered from any standard 12 – 24 volt industrial video battery pack such as a V-mount battery. Quantum offers several choices – see Section 3.2 and 5.0. An AC power supply is included with the Omicron 4.
