IMPORTANT: In order to set up your 4G LTE Mount for Canary Flex™, you will
need to install the Canary app, available from canary.is/app on your iOS or

Step 2: Charge the 4G LTE Mount
Plug the included AC power adapter for the 4G LTE Mount into any 100-240V
wall outlet to charge the long-life lithium-ion battery. It will take approximately
7-8 hours for your 4G LTE Mount to fully charge when it is powered o (longer
if it’s in use).
Step 3: Set up the 4G LTE Mount for Canary Flex™ in the Canary app.
Visit canary.is/app on your iOS or Android device for instructions on setting up
your 4G LTE Mount with your Canary Flex.
Step 4: Place your Canary Flex™ inside the main unit.
The magnet inside of the main unit will grab the Canary Flex as you place it
inside of your unit. Tilt the Canary Flex into place. You will need access to the
button on the back of the Canary Flex during the setup process for the 4G
LTE Mount, so do not place your Canary Flex into the main unit until you have
completed the setup process for the 4G LTE Mount in the Canary app

Once the device is placed in the mount, you will be able to charge both the
Canary Flex and the 4G LTE Mount with the same plug
Step 5: Join the cover to the main unit.
Push the cover into place over the Canary Flex. Use the hex tool to screw
the cover screws to the cover to the main unit--one screw on the top
tab, another on the bottom.

Please note, the smaller ‘tab’ goes on the bottom, and the larger one
(with speaker holes) goes on top.

Step 6: Install the baseplate.
For installation onto a wall or other vertical surface: Ensure that the baseplate
hooks are facing up. Hold the baseplate against the installation surface (for
example, your wall or fence) and use a pencil to make three marks through the
three holes in the back of the baseplate. On the pencil marks, drill three pilot
holes into the installation surface.
FPO
Note: If wall anchors are required for your installation (drywall, brick, concrete),
use a 1/4” drill bit to drill pilot holes in the installation surface.
If wall anchors are not required for your installation (wood), use a 3/32” drill bit to
drill pilot holes in the installation surface.
Align the baseplate holes with the pilot holes in the installation surface and
install the provided wall anchors (optional) and wall mounting screws.

For use on a tabletop or other flat surface: Baseplate usage is
optional--you may simply place the device on the flat surface. If
additional stability and security are desired, install the device into the
flat surface by following the installation steps described above.

Step 7: Choose your orientation.
Two options are available: 1) for use with the AC power adapter, and
2) for wire-free use.
FPO
Step 8: Route the cable if opting for plugged in use.
If planning to use the device with outlet power, route the cable
through the channel in the ‘foot’ of the device prior to attaching the
4G LTE Mount to the baseplate.
FPO
Step 9: Slide the foot of the 4G LTE Mount into the baseplate.
Align the 4G LTE Mount foot with the top of the baseplate, and slide
it into place.
FPO
Step 10: Secure the 4G LTE Mount foot to the baseplate
and complete installation.
Use the provided hex tool to tighten the security screw and
secure the unit firmly to the baseplate.
FPO
Step 11: Adjust the angle.
Adjust the angle of your 4G LTE Mount by rotating the device
until it’s in the desired position.
