Installation of Netting: A steel cable is used to provide support at the top of the
system. Please note that this cable is not provided by Guardian Fall Protection. The
user is responsible for installation of the cable and making sure that it meets all
federal, state, and local regulations. The following steps will outline the
recommended installation procedure.
1. Place the clips over the top edge of the net and the cable, spacing each clip every
two feet. Press firmly on the clip to ensure that it is locked firmly into place.
2. The selvage strip at the bottom of the net has to be on the inside of the toe board and
should reach the floor without excessive pulling on the cable.
3. Through the use of tie-down plates, fasten the bottom selvage strip of the netting to
the floor spacing the plates every two feet. Position the plate on the bottom strip
making sure to place the nail midway between the edges. The nail head must be flush
with the plate to ensure that the netting is securely fastened to the floor.
Note: To combine multiple 150 foot panels it is recommend that the panels be
overlapped 18 inches top and bottom and the plates should be fastened through both
corners in the overlap.
