M33 Active Loudspeaker

• Based on a long tradition of highly acclaimed active loudspeaker designs dating back to the M1,
Meridian’s first product in 1977

• M33 is a single-box two-way active loudspeaker

• Designed for floor stand, wall mount or bookshelf applications

• Precision cast aluminium enclosure providing:

• Stiffness and rigidity

• Built-in damping and reinforcement

• Incredibly low levels of cabinet resonance

• Exceptionally low coloration

• Two 5.25" carbon-fibre, large magnet, long-throw, woofers combined with Meridian’s active bass

technology provide surprisingly rich, deep bass – capable of meeting even the most exacting demands

• The high quality tweeter uses a 1" fabric dome with a neodymium magnet and protective grille

• The system is phase-corrected to provide precise imaging over a wide listening area

• A dual wound torroidal transformer combined with audiophile-grade capacitors power the whole

electronic assembly

• The M33 is voiced to be used with all Meridian loudspeakers. Paired with M1500 Subwoofer and the 561
Digital Surround Controller it creates the perfect Meridian Compact Theatre

• Supplied with 5m per speaker of Meridian Active Loudspeaker Cable by van den Hul

• Frequency response within 3dB from 55Hz to 20kHz

• Modified fourth-order LR crossover at 2.3kHz, phase

corrected

• Output greater than 105dBspl @ 1m on music material

• Noise less than 15dB spl

Electronic system

• Balanced and single ended input

• One 85W woofer amplifier and one 55W tweeter amplifier

both using a unique feedback topology and local error­correction

• Overall distortion typically < 0.1%

• Screened torroidal transformer
