Explanation
System address
“SA” selects the System Address. By default on a Meridian system, the main zone has “System Address 1”, Zone 2 has “System Address 2” and Zone 3 has “System Address 3”.
Independence of control
“LE” selects the level of indepedence of control of the additional zones in relation to the control of the main zone. There are three aspects to this:
a) Whether the zone switches in and out of Standby in unison with the main zone.
b) Whether the zone follows the source selected in the main zone.
c) Whether the volume level in the zone follows the volume level in the main zone.
The options are:
LE = 1 - The zone will follow the main zone in relation to Standby, source selection and volume level.
LE = 2 - The zone supports independent Standby and source selection, but volume remains tied to the volume in the main zone.
LE = 3 - The zone will support independent Standby, independent source selection and independent volume.
