• LPEV fans are intended to be directly wired. All wiring must be done by a qualified electrician.
DO NOT use an extension cord with these fans.
• DO NOT place foreign objects through the guard into blade. Never attempt to stop the fan blades when fan is in operation.
• ALWAYS turn off the fan to clean.
• Marley Engineered Products assumes no liability resulting from the improper use or installation of this product.

INSTALLATION
• LPEV fans require four screws to hold them firmly in place.
• LPEV fans feature a speed presetting air flow selector switch which allows user to select desired amount of air and velocity.
• BE SURE all electrical power is off before wiring.
• For single-speed operation:
1. Preset a desired speed.
2. Remove the junction box cover.
3. Connect wire in the junction box. The grounding wire should be
connected to any screw on the junction box.
4. Replace the junction box cover.
For variable speed operation:
1. Preset high speed.
2. Use Marley Engineered Products solid state fan speed controller
(Model: SS-2) and install it per the instructions.
3. Repeat procedures 2,3, and 4 above for single-speed operation.
NOTE: GROUND IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE AND LOCAL CODES.
• It is normal for the motor to feel warm to the touch during operation. The motor is thermally protected and will automatically shut
off should it overheat for any reason. The fan will automatically turn on once the motor has cooled.
• The motor bearings are permanently lubricated at the factory and do not require any lubrication.
CLEANING
• Use a damp rag and mild detergent to clean the blade and guard. Always turn fan off before attempting to clean.

• LPE fans require four screws to mount unit firmly to desired mounting surface; eight screws are required for the LPE-30.
Mounting screws are not provided.
• LPES MODELS are provided with hardware for mounting the LPE unit to the shutter. The mounting hardware to mount the LPES
unit to its desired mounting surface is not provided
• Both LPE and LPES fans feature a speed presetting air flow selector switch which allows user to select desired amount of air and
velocity.
• Disconnect all electrical power before performing any wiring. All wiring should be done by a qualified electrician.
• For single-speed operation:
1. Preset a desired speed.

LIMITED WARRANTY
This Marley Engineered Products product is warranted to be free of defects in material and
workmanship for 12 months from date of original purchase.
There is no other warranty, express or implied, except such as is expressly set forth herein.
Seller will not be liable for any general, consequential, or incidental damages, including without
limitation any damages for loss of use or loss of profits, for any breach of warranty or for negligence. Seller’s liability and buyer’s exclusive remedy are limited to the repair of defective
goods or the shipment of equivalent goods, or the granting of a reasonable allowance on
account of any defects, as the seller may elect.
To obtain performance under this warranty, you must:
1. Contact the Marley Engineered Products Service Department at 1-800-683-0062 between
the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. Monday through Friday.
2. Provide the model number of the product, the date of installation, and state the nature of
the difficulty being experienced.
Products within warranty which have been installed and returned to the seller for repair will
be repaired and returned as used products. Repairs to products outside the warranty period will be subject to labor and parts charges.
Some states have enacted legislation which (a) does not allow the inclusion of limitations
on incidental or consequential damages; (b) does not allow limitations on the length of a
warranty period; (c) precludes exclusion, during the period of a limited warranty, of any
implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for purpose.
To the extent of such provisions being applicable in your state, the limitations in this warranty may not apply.
TO ENSURE SAFE OPERATION
• Be sure that this unit is correctly installed and wired by a qualified installer in accordance
with the instructions and applicable NEC or equivalent codes.
• Be sure that operating instructions are followed and that moving and heating parts are
kept clean and free from obstructions.
Any warranties granted or liabilities assumed hereunder will not apply to goods that have
been damaged in transit, altered, repaired, installed or operated otherwise than in conformity with the above requirements for safe operation.
3. The Marley Engineered Products Service Representative will determine the best way
to resolve the difficulty.
