READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY PRIOR TO STARTING INSTALLATION. PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN. USE THE PROPER JACKING LOCATIONS. DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY CAN RESULT IF INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT CORRECTLY FOLLOWED. A GOOD CHASSIS MANUAL, AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS STORE, MAY ALSO AID IN YOUR INSTALLATION.
QA1 WARRANTS THAT THE PRODUCTS WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF SALE TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. Floor Jack Jack Stands • SAE Sockets and Wrench Set • Torque Wrench
Factory Cross Member Removal:
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and place jack stands securely under the frame of the car.
2. Use floor jack to support the weight of the transmission and remove factory transmission cross member.
3. If your car has the 4 cylinder rear transmission cross member brackets you will need to remove them. (Figure 1)

4. Using a 7/16” drill bit, open up the
factory mounting bolt holes in cross member mounting bracket. The drivers side mounting hole is slotted. Open complete width of slot to 7/16”. (Figure 2)
QA1 Cross Member Installation
5. Loosely install ¼” set screws into
mounting sleeves of cross member.
6. Install bagged transmission mount
with the mount radius towards the rear of vehicle using supplied hardware. You must use included preload plate. (It is not a spacer) (Figure 3)
*Cross Member Kit will come with optional transmission mount spacer for changing drive shaft angles*

7. Slide cross member chassis bushing into cross member sleeve and mount to chassis
using 7/16”x5.5” bolts, zinc washers (two per side), and provided lock nuts.
8. With all mounting hardware still loose, slide the transmission cross member as far
toward the back of the car and tighten transmission mounting bolts to 52 lb.-ft.
9. Using 1/8” hex key, snug up the cross-members sleeves onto the chassis bushings. (Figure 4)
10. Torque chassis bushing hardware to 52 lb.-ft.
