NTRODUCTION
Thank you fo r purchasin g the Pyle view Inverte r . The Pyl e view Inve rter will p ower a wide variety of
household or electronic appliance reliably fro m the 12V v olt in your vehicle or boat ,or d irectly fro m a
12volt batte ry to serve . Such as laptop compu ters, digit al /video c amera , Mp3 player ,ce ll phones
and more .
Please pay y our special attention to all CAUTI ON and WARNI NG statemen ts. Imprope r use of th is
inverter can cause pers onnel injur y, property da mage
-WARNING
•Shock Hazar d. Keep awa y from chil dren.
•The PNVS4 Generates t he same pot entially let hal AC power as normal h ousehold wa ll outlet. Tr eat
it with the same respec t that You would do to any AC outlet.
•The PNVS4 i s designed for indoor use only and not recomm ended for u se with ind uctive load s,
such as flor escent lamp s, compress ors & pumps.
•Ensure to m aintain at least 2-inc h (5cm) air space on al l sides of this invert er, as its ho using may
became uncom fortably wa rm, reachin g 140 F (60 C) under ex tended high power.
•Disconnect power to th e inverter when it is n ot in use.
•Do not expo se this inv erter to wa ter, rain, sno w or spray.
•Do not inse rt foreign objects int o this inver ter’s AC out lets.
•Do not leav e this inve rter or any device oper ating unatt ended, to a void proper ty damage p otentially.
•Do not use or place th is inverter near flamma ble materia ls or any p laces, whic h accumulat e
flammable fu mes.
•Do not conn ect this in verter to p ower utility AC distribut ion wiring under any c ircumstance .
•Check the i nput and ou tput connec tors of this inverter a re tight re gularly. The lo ose connect ions can
generate har mful heat a nd /of dama ge the inver ter or powe r source.
-CAUTION
•Do not conn ect any AC pr oduct to thi s inverter, w hose neutra l conductor is connect ed to groun d.
•Do not expo se this inv erter tempe rature in ex cess of 100 F(40 C).
•This invert er must be connected o nly to batte ries with a normal out put voltage of 12 Volts. This unit
will not ope rate from a 6-Volt batter y and will be damaged if it is co nnected to a 24-Volt bat tery.
OPERATION
-CAUTION: DO NOT USE THIS INVERTER WI TH THE FOLL OWING:
•Small batte ry operated appliances such as REC HARGEABLE F LASHLIGHTS, SOME RECH ARGEABLE SHAVERS an d NIGHT LIGH TS that are plugged di rectly into as RECEPTACLE TO
RECHARGE.
•BATTERY CHARGES used with c ertain powe r tool batt ery packs. T hese charge rs will hav e a
WARNING LABEL s tating that DANGEROUS VOLTAGE ARE PRESENT AT THE CHARGERS
BATTERY TERMINALS .
-WARNING:
Batteries co ntain corro sive materi als and pres ent an Ener gy Hazard. To prevent irrit ation and b urns,
wear protect ive wear an d clothing, and take sp ecial care to ensure n o metal too ls or perso nal objects
contact the battery ter minals.
Using the i nverter
A .Plug the Pyle view inve rter into y our vehicle ’s lighter s ocket. If t he socket i s too large , adjust th e
negative con nectors usi ng the slid e control to ensure a s nug fit. Th e (green) LE D will ligh t up.
B. Plug an AC product int o the three- prong AC rece ptacle and turn it on. Ensure you r product d raws
150watts or less of con tinuous AC pow er. To avoid disch arging the vehicle bat tery, always r emove
the inverter from the l ighter sock et when not in use.
-The LED i ndicators
A. GREEN: It indicates the inverte r is power o n,
B. B. GREEN FAILS TO LIGHT: It indicates t he inverter shutdown ca used by low voltage, o verload,
or excessive temperatur e.
CAUTION:
•Do not conn ect to AC DIS TRIBUTION WI RING. The i nverter is d esigned for connection directly t o
standard ele ctrical and electronic equipment.
•Do not conn ect the inv erter to ho usehold or R V AC distribut ion wiring.
•Do not conn ect the inv erter to an y AC load circ uit in whic h the neutr al conducto r is connec ted to
ground (eart h) or to th e negative of DC (batte ry) source.
BATTERY OPERATING T IME
The vehicle batteries a re not inte nded for con stant deep discharge, they are de signed to p rovide
brief period s of very h igh current needed for engine star ting. It is strongly r ecommended to start th e
vehicle ever y hour or t wo to recha rge battery before its capacity dr ops too low. Operating t he
inverter fro m a vehicle battery un til the low voltage shu tdown will shorten the battery’s l ife.
The inverter can operat e whether o r not the ve hicle’s eng ine is runn ing, but the normal vol tage drop
that occurs during star ting may tr igger the in verter’s l ow voltage shutdown fe ature.
The use of a deep disch arge batter y is strongl y advised f or longer o perating ti mes. Its ca pacity
should be se lected base d on the de sired operat ing time.
