Charging andrecharging the battery Thank you for buying the new PBT55D Stereo Headset and the new BT65N StereoAudio Adaptor pack. Before first time use,it is important to charge thebattery of each of themfor 6 hours. During recharging, the LEDshows a steady redlight. When the batteryis fully charged,the Red LEDis off.

Or alternatively, connect the USB charging cable and the Y-cable together. And then, connect the twoends of the Y-cable to theHeadset’s and the Audio Adaptor’s DC socket. Make sure the USB charging cable is connected to the computer USB port providing500 mAfor optimal chargingresults.

Low-battery indication When the battery is low, the LED of the Headset or that of the Audio Adaptor will flash red instead of green. When the battery level is too low, the Headset or the Audio Adaptor willautomatically power off.

Turningon / Turningoff the Headsetand theAudio Adaptor When the Headset or the AudioAdaptor is powered off, press and hold till the LEDflashes green, whichindicates the Headset orthe AudioAdaptor is powered up. When the Headsetor the AudioAdaptor is powered up,press and , the LEDwill keep redfor a whilethen off,which indicates itis powered down.

c. If the pairing is successful, the LED will flash green, which indicates it is in
Standby Mode and ready to answerand receive mobile phone calls from it. If pairing doesnot occur as expected,turn the Headset andthe mobile phone off. Waitfor 10 secondsand repeat thepairing process fromthe beginning.
2. Answeringincoming calls /Rejecting incoming calls a. When an incoming callis present, a ringtone will be heardfrom the earpiece of
the Headset. Press PLAY button will answer the call. Press button will reject thecall.
b. If the Headset is connected with your mobile phone and
another transmitter such as the Audio Adaptor simultaneously and you are listening to the music using the earpiece, a ring tone will prompt you. Press PLAYbutton will answerthe call. Press buttonwill reject the calland you willcontinue listening tothe music.
3. Ending calls a. While acall is insession, press button will endthe call. b. If the Headset is connected with your mobile phone and
another transmitter suchas the AudioAdaptor simultaneously, press STOPbutton will endthe call andyou will continuelistening to themusic.
4. Last numberredial a. While the Headset and mobile arein Standby Mode, press and hold
the button for 2second to redialthe last dialednumber.
b. If the Headset is connected with your mobile phone and
another transmittersuch as theAudio Adaptor,press and holdthe Button for2 second to redialthe last dialed number. Press STOP buttonto end thecallasnormal.
5. Adjustingspeaker volume a. While a call is in session, pressing and releasing VOL + / VOL - buttons will
adjust thespeaker volume.
b. While the Headsetis playing music, pressing / releasing
VOL+ /VOL -buttons will adjustthe speaker volume.
6. Activating voice dialing
When the Headset is in standby mode, press and hold the button for 2 seconds until a longbeep is heard. The Headset is connectingto your mobile phone for voice dialing function. If the connection is successfully made, the phone will ask for the name of the person you wish to call. The call will be executed in a few seconds. If the connection is failed, the Headset will beep and go back to standby mode. Before the Headset entering into voice dialing mode, makesure the voicedialing function ofthe phone isenabled.
While the Headset is playing the music, continuously pressing the button will stop the music playing and a long beep will be heard, indicating that the Headsetis connecting with mobile phone for voice dialing function. If the connectionis successfully made, the voice dialing canbe executed according to the mobilephone’s menu operations. (If the connectionis failed, theHeadset will beep and goback to musicplaying.)

1. Pairing
a. While the Headset is powered off,press and button for 4 seconds. The
LED will flash red and green alternatively, which indicates the Headset in Pairing Mode. The PairingMode will lastfor one minute.
b. Follow the operating instructions of your mobile phone to start the
pairing process. Typically,this has to be done by going to a setup or connect menu andthen selecting theoptions to discover devices. It may take several seconds to establish a connection. Your phone’s display should indicatethat it has foundthe model name“PBT55D”; and prompt youfor a passkeyor PIN. Enter a sequenceof “0000”.

III. StereoHeadset paired withUSB Bluetooth DongleGuide[C]
1. Pairing a. While the Headset is powered off,press and hold button for 4 seconds. The

d. Your PDA willdisplay the model name“PBT55D” if ithas found the Headset;and
ask for apasskey. Enter a sequenceof “0000”. After successfulpairing, follow the instructionsto establish the connectionwith theHeadset.
e. If the pairing is successful, the LED will flash green, which indicates it is in
Standby Modeand ready to receive audio signalsfrom the PDA. If pairing does not occur as expected, turn the Headset and the PDAoff. Wait for 10 seconds and repeatthe pairing processfrom the beginning.
