1. OVERVIEW

USB converter to RS485.
It is used to upload firmware updates to devices that are not equipped with a USB connector or
LAN.
The converter works with an application that has been made available - PxFlasher.

2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING PXM EQUIPMENT USING THE
FTDI USB-RS485 CABLE

1. Copy the "PxFlasher_Client" folder from the CD to your computer.

2. Install the drivers for FTDI USB-RS485 - run the "CDM21218_Setup.exe" file.

3. Connect the FTDI cable to a computer with a disabled driver according to the diagram below.

4. Start the "PxFlasher.exe" programme.

5. When the programme is running, click the "Connect" button, and select "USB-RS485 Cable"
from the drop-down list.

6. A connection window with a progress bar will appear. When it appears, turn on the driver
power.

7. The new window will show information about the connected device. To install the update,
choose "Yes" and select the appropriate "*.upg" file.

8. When the update is complete, a window will appear asking if you want to start the device.
Click "Yes" and the driver will go into normal operation.

3. CONNECTION SCHEME
