1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing X5, the Crossover Driving Camcorder. To ensure a
proper usage and your safety, please read this User’s Manual carefully and check if
all the package contents are correct and complete without missing , if any part is
damaged or missing, please contact the agent where you purchased from for help.

5. About APP

Minimum System Requirement: Android 4.0 / iOS 6.0

X5 equips with basic settings and modes selection, you can add more
functions through APP, below examples are based on Android OS for
your reference.

1. Download APP “PX CAM” from Google
Play Store or Apple APP Store

2. Enable WiFi mode, the connection name
will be shown.

3. Enable WiFi through Smart phone/Tablet

Note: For iOS users, please connect your Smart

phone/Tablet to the X5 with WiFi manually,

first connection will take about 1 min to

complete.

Note: The date/time will be sync

with your smart phone/tablet when

their WiFi is connected with X5.

4. Open APP, tap to select Local or Internet

Please Refresh before pairing the device

※ Reminder: Enable WiFi & Cloud function before above setting.

3. Go to the “Internet” mode, tap to select X5’s SSID “PX-XXXXXXXX”,
if the connection is properly done, “Connected” will be shown; if not,
“Disconnected” will be shown.

6. Trouble Shooting

Q1：My X5 won’t switch on when my car starts up.
A1：1. Please ensure the USB car charger LED is always lighted and the connector is

properly inserted to X5’s power port.

2. Before using, please charge X5 for at least 3 min, long push the Power on/off,
Main Menu Button for 10 seconds to reboot. (It is not recommended to use a
cigarette multiple ports expansion set for charging, that may supply insufficient
power. )

Q2：X5 starts up or shuts down frequently without manual operation.
A2：If the USB car charger LED is not always lighted, please check if the USB charger has

bad connection to the car cigarette power jack.

Q3：When I shut down the car, X5 won’t switch off automatically.
A3： Please check if the USB car charger is always lighted, as some cars still supply power

when the engine is switched off, you can prevent unnecessary power consumption
by:

1. Remove the USB car charge

2. Install an auto switch off cigarette power supply to your car, please contact your
vehicle maintain facility.

Q4: I need more cigarette power ports for other devices in my car.
A4： We recommend you to purchase a cigarette multiple ports expansion set to use.

Please check your total max power consumption before purchasing the expansion
set, for your safety, an expansion set with higher power and national safety
certification is strongly recommended

Q5：Slight vibration is observed when playing back recorded files.
A5： 1. Your car may vibrate during idling and driving. The vibration amplitude varies with

engine and shock absorbers. In certain cases, X5 may vibrate in sync with your
car.

2. Tighten each screws of your X5. Consult your car supplier if the vibration is overly
noticeable.

Q6：Fuzzy images can be found in recorded files after proper installation.
A6 : 1. Make sure the windshield/X5’s lens is clear. Dirty or greasy window glass will lead

to images of poor quality.

2. Improper installation location may lead to fuzzy images caused by too large bevel

within the windshield.

Q7：When playing recorded files with computer, there are noticeable halts observed.

A7：1. Make sure your computer is powerful enough for the playback. The recommended

computer configuration is CPU 2.0GHz with more than 1GB memory.

2. Try stop running some of your resident programs.

3. Please use SD card of level C10 or higher.

4. Try copying your recorded files to the computer before playing them.

Q8: What is the SD Card specification that X5 supports upto?

A8: The highest capacity SD Memory is 64G, C10 or higher class is recommended.

Q9： Why my X5 does not start recording automatically when the car is started?
A9： 1. Please ensure your X5 is in Dash Cam Mode

2.Please make sure the Auto Record function is enabled.

(Setting-> Auto Record->Enable)

Q10：I can’t find X5’s WiFi SSID to connect.
A10：Please enable X5’s WiFi function (An icon will be shown), then open

Smart

phone/Tablet’s WiFi and reboot the APP to connect with it.

Q11：Why an info ”This Camera is occupied by other mobile devices” is displayed?
A11：This information will be shown when you quit from the APP during recording, please

stop the record manually and reboot X5 & APP to reconnect.

Q12: My video is upside down, how to adjust it?

A12: Please refer to page 19, 20 to reverse the video via APP operation.

8. Notice

1. Please do not operate during driving.

2. 8G, Class 10 (or higher) SD Card is recommended.

3. Please remove the SD card only when X5 is turned off, removing the SD Card during

recording or any other improper operation might cause damage or data missing to the
SD Card.

4. Do not bump or press on X5’s main unit or its LED.

5. Keep your hands dry when operating X5.

6. Do not operate X5 in humid environment.

7. Do not use chemical cleanser for cleaning

8. Do not try to repair X5 by yourself, please contact the agent where you purchased the

product if it has any problem.

9. Some cars keep supplying power to cigarette charger even when the engine is switched

off, to prevent power wasting, please remove the USB car charger before getting off the
car.

10. Please use only the DC 5V car charger included in the package, if you use a Cigarette

power expansion set for other devices in your car, please ensure its power ampere is
sufficient for all devices.
