WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN ADVANCE
VENTILATE SUFFICIENTLY
Regardless of the model, you must always make sure that the heater is used in a
room large enough to enable the heater to be used safely without extra
ventilation. If the room is smaller than required, you must always open a door or
window slightly (ensuring an opening of approx. 2.5 cm). It is important that every
room where the heater is used has sufficient air intake and efficient air outflow

DIGNITING THE HEATER (Auto restart)
When used for the first time, a new heater may give out some fumes for a short
while. You therefore have to provide extra ventilation.
Always ignite the heater with the button. Never use matches or a cigarette
lighter.
A little white smoke and smell during ignition is normal. Just press the button
to ignite the heater. The green power lamp inside the button will start to blink,
indicating that the ignition procedure is running. This will take about 2 or 3
minutes. Once the heater is really burning, the power lamp will light
continuously. This heater will restart automatically after a power cut when the
heater was in “on” position prior to power cut. This makes it possible to switch the
appliance on / off by interrupting / enabling the power supply (for instance
through a mobile phone switch).

EQUICK IGNITION
Sometimes you may know in advance that you will be manually switching on the
heater within 12 hours, but you do not want to wait 2-3 minutes (see chapter D) at
that particular moment. For these occasions this heater is equipped with the
“quick ignition” function. This function will prepare the heater such that at the
moment you want to switch on the heater that upon pressing the
heater will start within 5 seconds. To start the “QUICK IGNI.” function press the
quick ignition button.
In quick ignition mode:
The quick igition mode has to be enabled for at least 2-3 minutes before the
heater can be started.
- the electrical power consumption is 100 Watt
- the air at the outlet is slightly warmed
- is automatically cancelled when timer function is set
- is automatically switched off after 12 hours
- can be cancelled by pressing the QUICK IGNI. button
again. (The light will now be off).
FSETTING THE REQUIRED TEMPERATURE
The temperature setting can only be adjusted when the heater is burning. Use the
buttons + and – to adjust the temperature. The available temperature range is
+6°C minimum to +30°C maximum. The desired temperature is stored in the
memory and remains after a restart or power failure.

In the save mode the heater will switch off when the room temperature, as sensed
by the heater, rises 3°C above the set temperature. The save mode can be
activated with the button SAVE. The lamp in the button will switch on and the
heater will now switch off when the room temperature rises 3°C above the set
temperature. The heater will start again when the room temperature drops below
the set temperature.
The save mode can be cancelled by pushing the SAVE button again, the lamp
switches off.
JTHE INFORMATION DISPLAY
The information display not only serves as an indicator of the (set) time and

OMAINTENANCE
Switch off the heater, disconnect the plug from the mains and let it cool down,
before you start any maintenance work. Your heater needs hardly any maintenance.
It is, however, important that you clean the air filter and the vent filter with a
vacuum cleaner and a brush and the grid with a damp cloth, both on a weekly basis.
Remove the air filter occasionally and clean it with soapy water or with a vacuum
cleaner. Prior to reinstallation, make sure that the air filter cap has fully been dried.
Regularly inspect the fuel filter as well:
Remove the removable tank from the heater and remove the fuel filter
Some drops may leak from the filter; keep a cloth at hand.
Remove the dirt and water by gently tapping the fuel filter upside-down
against a hard surface. (Never clean it with water!)
Reinstall the fuel filter into the heater.
e recommend to remove dust and stains on the outside of the heater from time to

time with a damp cloth, otherwise these may cause stains that are hard to remove.
Do not remove any components yourself. Always contact your dealer for repairs.
When the power cord is damaged, it may only be replaced by an authorised
☞
engineer. Use a new original cord.

PSTORAGE (END OF THE HEATING SEASON)
54321
At the end of the heating season, store the heater in a dust-free place in its
original packaging. Any unused fuel cannot be used the next heating season. We
therefore recommend that you burn up all fuel prior to storing. If there is still
some fuel left, do not throw it away, but dispose of it in accordance with the local
regulations for the disposal of domestic chemical waste.
Always start the new heating season with fresh fuel. When you start re-using the
heater follow the instructions again (starting from section A and as specified).
QTRANSPORTATION
Take the following measures to avoid fuel leakage during the transportation of
the heater:
transportation cap
Let the heater cool down.
Remove the removable tank from the heater and remove the fuel filter.
Some drops may leak from the filter; keep a cloth at hand. Store the fuel filter
and the removable tank outside the heater.
Place the transportation cap into the position of the fuel filter. Press it tight.
The transportation cap will, as much as possible, prevent oil leakage from the
heater during transport.
Always move the heater in an upright position.
Make the fixed tank empty with a fuel pump before transportation or in case
of wrong or dirty fuel. First remove the fuel filter and then insert the fuel
pump into the empty fixed tank. Follow the same procedure if the fuel tank
contains water.
Your heater comes with a 24-month warranty starting on the date of purchase.
Within this period all defects in material or workmanship will be repaired without
any charge. The following provisions shall apply regarding this warranty:
We expressly dismiss all other claims for damages, including consequential
damages.
Any repairs or replacements of components within the term of warranty will
not result in an extension of the term of warranty.
The warranty shall no longer apply, when the heater has been modified,
non-original parts have been used, or when it is repaired by third parties.
The warranty shall not apply to parts that are subject to normal wear.
The warranty shall only apply, when you present the original, dated proof of
purchase, provided no changes have been made to it.
The warranty shall not apply to damages caused by actions not in compliance
with this operating manual, neglect, and the use of an incorrect type of fuel,
or fuel past its use-by date. The use of incorrect fuel can even be dangerous*.
Transportation costs and the risks involved during the transportation of the
heater or heater components shall always be at the expense of the purchaser.
In order to avoid unnecessary costs, we recommend that you always read this
operating manual carefully first. In case they offer no solution, please take the
heater to your dealer for repair.
* Highly inflammable substances may induce uncontrollable burning, causing flames to break out. Should this
happen, never try to move the heater, but always switch off the heater immediately. In case of emergency you
may use a fire extinguisher, but only a type B extinguisher: a carbon dioxide or powder extinguisher.
