Assembly of PureID DIY Cables

The PureLink HDMI Do-It-Yourself cables use a unique technology for manufacturing your own HDMI cables. The
HDMI cable consists of 5 twisted pairs, 4 separate wires and a drain wire, used for grounding. The four blue colored
pairs are meant for transmission of TMDS signals, the twisted pair with silver aluminium foil is for Ethernet (HEAC)
and Audio Return Channel (ARC). Our compatible cables are “ID-CAB-PURE“ and “ID-CAB-ULTRA“. All parts needed
for manufaturing are included in our starter-kit “ID-STARTER“ or available separately.

Prepare The Cable

First remove the insulation of the cable, then cut
the outer jacket with a sharp knife, strip the cable
jacket for about 3cm and remove the outer metal
braiding.

Remove about 2 cm aluminium foil around the ve

twisted pairs. It´s important to keep 1cm blue alu­minium foil around the twisted pairs. You need to

be able to recognize the diernt pairs & wires in the

next step. Remove the silver foil around the single
wires so that only 6mm of silver foil is left.

Insert Wires

Arrange the wires for the green 9-hole cablehol der,
like shown in the pin-assignment table on page 4.

Pay Close attention: Mis-wiring (also of the twi­sted pairs!) will lead to product failure and/or total
blackout. Therefore it‘s VERY IMPORTANT to a ensure
the right assignment of all wires.

Insert the wires into the green holder. Check the

position with the assignment chart.

Repeat these steps for the blue 10-pin holder. After
completing this step, slide the holders against the
foil wrapping so they are on top of each other and

align them to t the compression guide.
