Carefully remove and inspect your new filter system for any possible transportation
damage. If any damage is found, please notify us promptly.
1. ❏ Position the system in the best area to connect it to the main cold water service
line of your home & Screw in the Pressure Gauge (Included) into the ¼” port on top
of the system (take care not to overtighten).
Note: If you need to connect water input to the left side of the unit, please first remove
all housings, unscrew the pressure gauge, then unscrew each black housing cap and
reverse their positions so that the arrows near the engraved “IN” and “OUT” indicators
on top of the black caps are facing direction of water flow.
2. ❏ Turn off the main water supply to your home, and open a faucet (for a few
seconds) to release pressure from your plumbing system.
3. ❏ Attach the included Ball-Valve to the “INPUT” port of the system, and then
connect the cold-water service line to it.
Note: The home’s water service line should be first connected directly to the filtration
system BEFORE the water reaches any hot water heater or other system (e.g. Water
Softeners, UV systems, De-scalers, etc.)
4. ❏ Unpack the cartridges, remove Shrink-wrap and insert cartridges in the proper
sequence indicated below (notice the “this end up” indicator on the WellGuard-WH
& AntiRad-WH Cartridges) and screw chambers closed (HAND-TIGHTEN to
prevent Damaging O-Rings. If housings leak, then use wrench to tighten some more).
Note: If the cartridges move inside the closed chambers when shaken, you did not tighten
the housing enough, Use wrench in this case, but just enough until shaking ceases.
