pTrumpet is low maintenance, but it’s good practice to look after it, so
here are a few hints to keep it in top condition:
Cleaning
pTrumpet is completely made from plastic, making it very durable and
robust. It is also coated with antimicrobial technology BioCote – an
agent that kills microorganisms and inhibits their growth. To clean the
external surfaces, use a soft cloth with warm soapy water and dry the
instrument with a lint free cloth. We recommend that you clean the
instrument before rst use, being careful not to get soapy water into the
valve system.
Intonation
Like any trumpet, you may nd the intonation and harmonic range of
pTrumpet is different to abrass trumpet. pTrumpet has a completely
consistent bore size throughout the instrument, making it very free and
easy-blowing. Therefore, we advise against using excessively deep or
shallow cup mouthpieces.
Main Tuning Slide
The main tuning slide has two o-rings at the end of the slide tubes.
These improve air tightness of the instrument. Two spare o-rings are
included with the matching nger buttons.
We recommend that the main tuning
slide be placed about 10mm out
and then adjusted for performance
preference.

Valve System
The valve system is low maintenance - designed to operate without
any oil or lubrication. However, regular valve oil can be used sparingly
and applied thinly across each piston. You may nd the application of
valve oil or water does not improve valve performance, in which case,
clean and dry each piston and the inside of the valve casing thoroughly
with a lint free cloth.
If you nd the valves are sticking we recommend the following:
1) Remove each piston and clean and dry the piston and inside of the
valve casing with a lint free cloth. If you have used oil previously,
remove all oil thoroughly from the piston and inside of the valve
casing.
2) In the early stages of use, some wear of the piston surface is normal
and extra cleaning may be needed as the valve system beds in.
3) Ensure there is no obstruction or plastic residue inside the valve
casing itself, especially around the ports. You can run your ngertips
inside the valve casing to feel for any rough edges.
4) When playing pTrumpet, hold the valve block with a relaxed left
hand as excessive tension in the hand-grip may cause compression
of the valve casing and sticking of the valves.
Water Key
The water key sits ush inside the main
tuning slide to ensure a smooth internal
surface. It may appear that the water key
does not open. This is a characteristic
of our design. It does open far enough
to allow moisture to drain.
If you are concerned that the waterkey
is not working, here is a simple test.
Remove the main tuning slide and ll it f
ull of water. Then depress the water key
and you should see the water drain out.
PLEASE DO NOT le or try to modify
the water key to make it open further.

Removing and Replacing the Valves
To remove the valves, gently turn the bottom caps anti-clockwise about
10mm. Be careful that the piston does not fall out under its own weight.
You may wish to turn the instrument upside down.
Remove the cap, spring
and valve piston.
To replace the piston, place the
spring into the bottom cap –
the spring will t snuggly inside
the bottom cap center-ridge.
Look inside the bottom of the valve
block – you will see the key cutout
at the top end of the valve block.
Turn the piston so that the key shape
aligns with the inside key cutout of the
valve block. The piston will not fall into
place if it is not aligned correctly.
Finally, secure the valve bottom cap by pushing upwards into the
bottom of the valve block and turning 10mm clockwise.
Right Hand Position
pTrumpet has been designed with the bell section higher than valve
casing. This is to ensure that the player uses the correct nger posture
with the player’s ngertips pushing down each piston. Playing with at
ngers will not be possible – sorry! You can also adjust and customize
the position of the ngertips on each individual piston using the
Matching Finger Buttons.

Valve caps (adjustable)
pTrumpet is the only trumpet with adjustable valve caps which means
that you can tailor pTrumpet to create the perfect position for your
hands. So, whether you want to extend the reach for large hands,
reduce the valve block size for small hands, train ngers into the
correct position or accentuate a specic valve or combination – you
can do so with pTrumpet.
With a clever “click in place” design, the center of the caps can be
positioned over the piston or offset to create the perfect posture for all
ngers over the valves.
As you rotate the caps, the perfect
position for your hand can be created
with each nger adjusted to perfection.
Smaller, growing hands can have
constant adjustment, encouraging good
posture and reducing tension.
The unique design of the valve cap tops guides the nger pad into a
good playing position that is both mechanically efcient and relaxed.
The shape of the nger pad cup, valve cap surface and the centered
guide hole have all been carefully created to work together to guide the
nger without disrupting the player. The touch hole constantly reminds
the nger to keep its central, piston style position whilst playing.
Mouthpieces
pTrumpet includes a plastic 3C and 5C mouthpiece which are based
on the traditional Bach internal shapes. You may use any standard
brass mouthpiece but we recommend, given the nature of the plastic
material, that heavytop style or shallow mouthpiece cups may not
balance as well with our instrument.

Limited Warranty
Warwick Music Limited warrants to the original owner-user that the
pTrumpet product will be free from defects in material or workmanship.
This warranty is limited to 30 days from the date of original purchase,
whether or not actual use.
Limitations and Exclusions
Warranty inquiries must be made through an authorized Warwick
Music dealer or arranged through Warwick Music Customer Service.
Authorized returns must be shipped prepaid.
1. The warranty provided herein shall be void and of no effect in the
event that (a) the product has been operated outside its designed
output capacity.

The warranty provided herein is for replacement only. Warwick
Music shall not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, or expense of
any kind arising out of a breach of the warranty. Further, Warwick
Music shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential,

revenue, profit or use, arising out of a breach of this warranty or in
connection with the sale, maintenance, use, operation or repair of

any amount greater than the purchase price of a defective product.
The disclaimers of liability included shall remain in effect and shall
continue to be enforceable in the event that any remedy herein
shall fail of its essential purpose.

pTrumpet is durable, but not indestructible! Here are a few tips to
help you enjoy and care for your new pTrumpet:
• Use a soft cloth and warm soapy water to clean your instrument and
be sure to rinse through before use.
• The main, rst and third valve tuning slides are all adjustable. When
new and from time to time apply a little tuning slide grease to the
black moving parts/tuning slide legs.
• Best results are achieved by lightly holding the valve block. Ensure
that the valve is completely clean and is free of obstruction - such as
excessive valve oil.
• Due to its innovative design, the instrument valves are functional dry
and do not require the use of an oil based lubricant for operation.
• You may use regular trumpet valve oil sparingly.
• All the valve pistons are the same.
• To remove the valves gently turn the valve bottom caps
anti-clockwise and remove the cap, spring and valve piston.
• To return the valve, place the piston back into the valve block, gently
twist to seat into its guide channel and push all the way in. Replace
the spring into the bottom valve cap, secure the valve bottom cap by
pushing upwards and twisting clockwise.

Ptrumpet – ÚDRŽBA NÁSTROJE
pTrumpet je velice robustní stavby, ale v žádném případě není
tento nástroj nezničitelný! Zde pár pomůcek pro údržbu Vašeho
nástroje:
• Používejte vždy měkký hadřík a teplou, mýdlovou vodu ( vodu s
mýdlem ) - pro utření ploch a vnitřní vyčištění plastových částí.
• Dolaďovací oblouček a 1. a 3. oblouček jsou pohyblivé části. Tedy
hlavně u nového nástroje a poté vždy čas od času se doporučuje
promazávat mazadlem pro funkčnost chodů obloučků .Nanášejte
vždy na černé, vnitřní části.
• Takto docílíte správný chod ventilů:
Strojivo / ventily vždy vytáčejte opatrně a ne násilím a přesvěčte
se, že jsou vždy pouzdra ventilů a samotné ventily čisté – jen takto
zabezpečíte nejlepší chod.
• Ventily / strojivo jsou funkční i bez samotného mazání a
nepoužívejte žádných jiných mazadel, olejů – než standardní jemný
olej pro perinetové ventily trumpet.
• Všechny 3 ventily jsou stejné a není závadou, když se tedy prohodí !
• Pro vyjmutí ventilů prosím ze spodní strany opatrně vytočte víčko
pouzdra pro ventily ( ve směru hodinových ručiček ), vysuňte
pružinu a pak samotný ventil .
• Pro zpětné nasazení ventilu opatrně ventil nasuňte, pootáčejte do
stran, až Vám boční rysky ventilu zapadnout do vnitřku pouzdra a
pak celý ventil dosuňte na doraz. Vsaďte zpět pružinu a zašroubujte
víčko ventilu a lehce jej bez násilí utáhněte.

Die pTrumpet ist sehr robust, aber nicht unzerstörbar! Hier sind
ein paar nützliche Hinweise, die ihnen bei der Pege ihrer neuen
pTrumpet helfen:
• Verwenden sie ein weiches Tuch und warmes Seifenwasser, um
ihr Instrument zu reinigen und spülen sie es gut durch bevor sie es
verwenden.
• Der Stimmzug sowie der 1. und 3. Ventilzug sind bewegliche Teile.
Bei einem neuen Instrument und dann von Zeit zu Zeit empehlt es
sich, etwas Zugfett an die schwarzen Innenzugrohre zu geben.
• So erreichen sie einen einwandfreien Ventilgang: Umfassen sie das
Maschinenteil nur leicht und unverkrampft. Stellen sie sicher, dass
die Ventile immer komplett sauber und frei von übermäßigem Ventilöl
sind.
• Auf Grund des neuartigen Designs funktionieren die Ventile auch im
trockenen Zustand und benötigen kein Schmiermittel auf Ölbasis.
• Sie können reguläres Trompetenöl verwenden aber bitte nur sehr
sparsam anwenden.
• Alle 3 Ventil-Wechsel sind gleich und untereinander austauschbar.
• Um die Ventile zu entnehmen, drehen sie vorsichtig die unteren
Ventildeckel entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn und entfernen sie so den
Schraubdeckel, die Ventilfeder und den Ventil-Wechsel.
• Zum Einsetzen der Ventile stecken sie den Ventil-Wechsel wieder in
die Ventilbüchse und drehen sie den Ventil-Wechsel vorsichtig, bis er
in den Führungsschlitz einrastet und sich komplett einschieben lässt.
Dann die Ventilfeder wieder unter den Ventil-Wechsel geben und mit
dem Schraubdeckel im Uhrzeigersinn festschrauben.

• Para la limpieza del instrumento recomendamos usar un paño
suave y agua tibia jabonosa. Asegúrese de enjuagarla bien antes de
volver a usar el instrumento.
• Los pistones son completamente ajustables. De vez en cuando
aplique un poco de lubricante para pistones en las partes móviles
negras.
• Conseguirá los mejores resultados con un ligero mantenimiento
de la maquinaria. Asegúrese que los pistones están completamente
limpios y no están obstruidos ni con exceso de lubricante.
• Debido a su innovador diseño, los pistones de este instrumento son
completamente funcionales en seco y no requieren el uso
de lubricantes para su funcionamiento.

• Para desmontar los pistones, gire el tapón en sentido contrario

Carte d’entretien pTrompette
La pTrompette est résistante, mais pas indestructible! Voici
quelques conseils pour vous aider à prendre soin et proter de
votre pTrompette:
• Utilisez un chiffon doux avec de l’eau tiède savonneuse pour
nettoyer votre instrument et assurez-vous de bien le rincer avant de
l’utiliser à nouveau.
• Les coulisses principales, premier et troisième piston sont toutes
amovibles.
A l’état neuf et de temps en temps, appliquez un peu de graisse de
coulisse sur les parties mobiles noires et sur les tubes de coulisse
d’accord.
• Les meilleurs résultats sont obtenus en actionnant délicatement les
pistons. Assurez-vous que le piston est entièrement propre, libre de
toute obstruction, comme un excès d’huile par exemple.
• Grâce à sa conception innovante, les pistons de l’instrument
peuvent être actionnés sans huile. Toutefois, vous pouvez utiliser
avec modération de l’huile ordinaire de piston pour trompette.
• Tous les pistons sont identiques.
• Pour retirer les pistons, tournez délicatement les chapeaux bas
dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre et enlevez le
chapeau, le ressort et le piston.
• Pour remettre le piston, replacez le piston dans le bloc piston,
tournez doucement pour le placer dans la rainure de guidage et
poussez-le à l’intérieur. Remettez le ressort dans le chapeau bas de
piston, que vous xerez en poussant vers le haut et en vissant dans
le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.

La pTrumpet è sicuramente molto resistente, ma non
indistruttibile! Ecco alcuni consigli per la cura e la manutenzione
dello strumento:
• Utilizzare un panno morbido imbevuto di acqua calda e sapone per
la normale pulizia e assicurarsi di sciacquare bene la tromba prima
dell’utilizzo.
• La pompa principale, la prima e la terza pompa sono completamente
regolabili.
Al primo utilizzo e poi saltuariamente, si consiglia di applicare del
grasso lubricante sullo slide (parte nera interna) delle pompe.
• I migliori risultati si ottengono facendo poca pressione sul blocco
macchina mentre si tiene lo strumento.
Assicurarsi che i pistoni siano perfettamente puliti e liberi da
ostruzioni, come ad esempio un’eccessiva dose di olio.
• Grazie al suo innovativo design, i pistoni dello strumento possono
lavorare anche “a secco” e non necessitano l’utilizzo di un
lubricante specico per il loro funzionamento.
• E’ sufciente utilizzare saltuariamente un normale lubricante per
tromba.
• I pistoni sono tutti uguali. Non sono pertanto numerati (1, 2, 3)
come accade nelle trombe tradizionali.
• Per togliere il pistone ruotare delicatamente il piattello superiore in
verso anti-orario e rimuoverlo assieme al pistone stesso e alla molla.
• Per riposizionare il pistone introdurlo all’interno del blocco macchina
ruotandolo delicatamente per farlo combaciare alla sua guida, quindi
premere no in fondo. Inserire poi la molla nel piattello superiore e
avvitare il tutto in senso orario facendo pressione.

pTrumpet is duurzaam maar niet onverwoestbaar! Hieronder een
aantal tips om optimaal van je nieuw pTrumpet te genieten met de
juiste verzorging:
• Gebruik een zachte doek en handlauw water en zeep om je
instrument te reinigen. Zorg dat je je instrument goed reinigt voor
gebruik.
• De eerste, tweede en derde stempompen zijn verstelbaar. Gebruik
bij aanvang en bij regelmatig gebruik een klein beetje pompenvet op
het zwarte binnengedeelte van de pompen.
• Het beste resultaat wordt bereikt bij het lichtjes vasthouden van het
ventielhuis. Zorg ervoor dat het ventiel vrij is van enige obstructies
(zoals bijvoorbeeld te veel aan ventielolie!).
• Door het innovatieve design van het instrument hebben de ventielen
i.p. geen ventielolie of dergelijk glijmiddel nodig.
• Indien nodig mag (zeer spaarzaam) ventielolie gebruikt worden.
• Elk ventiel is gelijk (dus onderling uitwisselbaar).
• Om de ventielen te verwijderen dient men de onderste
ventieldoppen tegen de klok in los te draaien. Hierdoor kan men
de veer en het ventiel verwijderen (NB let op een wegspringende
veer!).
• Bij het terugplaatsen van het ventiel zorg ervoor dat het ventiel pakt
in de ventielgeleiders alvorens het ventiel helemaal naar boven te
duwen. Plaats de veer in de onderste ventieldop en zet de onderste
ventieldoep wederom vast door met de klok mee een slag te geven.

pTrumpet er holdbar men krever noe vedlikehold! Nedenfor følger
noen tips som hjelper deg å nyte og ta vare på din nye pTrumpet:
• Bruk en myk klut og varmt såpevann for å rengjøre ditt instrument.
Sørg for å skylle instrumentet før bruk.
• Hoved, første og tredje stemmebøyle er alle justerbare deler. Når
trompeten er ny og med jevne mellomrom påfør litt Bøyle fett på alle
svarte bevegelige deler/stemme bøyle rør.
• Beste resultat oppnås ved å lett holde I ventilhuset.
• Se til at ventilen er helt ren og fri fra hinder- som overødig væske.
• Takket være sitt innovative design, fungerer ventilene tørre og krever
ikke bruk av ett oljebasert smøremiddel for å fungere.
• Du kan bruke vanlig ventilolje sparsomt.
• Samtlige ventiler er like.
• For å løsne ventilene, vri ventilenes bunn skål mot klokka, ta bort
lokket, fjæringene og ventilen
• For å sette ventilene tilbake, plasser ventilene tilbake I ventilhuset,
vri forsiktig så den havner i sporet, og trykk hele veien inn. Sett
fjæren inn under ventilen, sett så fast bunnskålen og skru mot høyre.

Państwo kilka wskazówek jak cieszyć się z gry na pTrumpet oraz
jak o ten instrument prawidłowo dbać:
• Do czyszczenia instrumentu używaj delikatnej ściereczki oraz ciepłej
(ale nie gorącej) wody z mydłem oraz dokładnie wypłucz instrument
przed ponownym użyciem.
• Główny krąglik dostrajający oraz krągliki na 1 i 3 wentylu są
ruchome. Kiedy instrument jest nowy aplikujemy niewielką ilość
smaru do krąglików na czarne ruchome części krąglików.
• Najlepsze rezultaty osiągane są kiedy wentyle poruszają się lekko
i gładko. Upewnij się, że tłoki są wolne od wszelkiego rodzaju
zanieczyszczeń jak np. nadmierna ilość olejku do wentyli.
• Dzięki innowacyjnemu designowi oraz zastosowanym rozwiązaniom
tłoki instrumentu do prawidłowego działania nie wymagają używania
środka smarującego na bazie oleju.
• Można użyć do natłuczenia tłoków zwykłego olejku do wentyli
jednak należy używać olejku bardzo oszczędnie.
• Wszystkie wentyle mają tak samo zbudowane tłoki.
• Aby wyjąć wentyl z instrumentu należy delikatnie odkręcić dolny
kapsel zamykający wentyl obracając go w kierunku przeciwnym do
ruchu wskazówek zegara, następnie wyjąć kapsel, sprężynę oraz
tłok.
• Aby ponownie złożyć wentyl należy umieścić czarny tłok w komorze
i obracając go jednocześnie delikatnie naciskać aż osiądzie na
swoim prawidłowym miejscu – następnie do końca włożyć tłok do
komory. Umieścić sprężynę w dolnym kapslu zamykającym wentyl
i przytrzymując tłok aby nie wyskoczył z wcześniejszej pozycji
zakręcić kapsel.

pTrumpet är tålig, men inte oförstörbar! Här är några tips som
hjälper dig att njuta av och ta hand om din nya pTrumpet:
• Använd en mjuk trasa, varmt vatten tvålvatten för att rengöra ditt
instrument och se till att skölja igenom före användning.
• Stämbygel, första & tredje bygel är alla justerbara. När trumpeten är
ny, och med jämna mellanrum, applicera lite bygel fett på alla svarta
rörliga delar/stämbygel rör.
• Bästa resultat uppnås genom att lätt hålla I ventilhuset, se till att
ventilen är helt ren och är fri från hinder som överödig ventilolja.

• Du kan använda vanlig ventilolja sparsamt.
• Samtliga ventilar är likadana.
• För att avlägsna ventilerna, vrid ventilernas botten lock moturs och ta
bort locket, fjädern och ventilen.
För att återställa ventilen, placera ventilen tillbaka in i ventilhuset,
vrid försiktigt så den hamnar i sin styrkanal och tryck hela vägen in.
Sätt fjädern i bottenlocket, fäst bottenlocket genom att trycka uppåt
och vrida medurs.
