1. Introduction

1.1 Introduction to Digital Conference System

Control unit D-3002 is the core of digital conference system, which is not just to provide power to the other units, but also to realize the communication between the devices and the control software. It can work independently and when works in a complicated meeting room, a computer and control software is needed for convenient operation, and so is a professional operator .
By using the latest fully digital technologies, network techniques and the multi-channel digital audio technology, D-3002 revolutionizes conference systems technology and takes the leadership in digital conference s ystem solutions.

1.2 Technology

The system uses digital signal processing and transmission technology, and high speed CPUs are built in. The high quality audio signal, control signal and other signal are transmitted through the twisted pair.

1.3 Features

Built-in central control unit for integrated data processing and unit control for
discussion unit.
Support audio sampling rate to 32 k, the frequency response of each channel can
reach at 20 Hz ~ 20 KHz.
Support audio recording on SD card or USB flash disk. Support video camera tracking. Built-in alarm trigger for +5V working voltage. Limited to 6 microphone inputs in max at one time for delegate units. Support various occasions with its multiple conference modes. Supply power to other units by the control unit ins tead of using batteries. Voting unit is able to be controlled by the chairman unit with ID A001 instead of PC. Hand-in-hand technology for stable performance. LCD screen to show system menus. Controllable via RS232 or TCP/IP. Support hot plug. Easy to store and keep by installed in a standard 19 inches rack.

3.4 Connect with Camera

Baud Rate of D-3002: 9600; Ca mera Protocol: PELCOP_D/P/ SONY D-3002 is integrated with camera tracking function to provide a multi-functional
conference solution for users. By using the PC software or the camera keyboard, you can change its tracking object as you will. (The default tracking object is from SDI input No.4) There are 2 SDI outputs, includ ing 1 regular SDI output and 1 SDI loop output.
6
Custom Camera Tracking
Figure 3-4 Connect with Camera
D-3002 supports custom camera tracking. When running, the control unit will inform the tracking object’s unit ID to a third-party control device, and then the third-party device will control the camera after getting the ID information.
The baud rate of D-3002 is 9600.

3.5 Connect with Alarm

Considering of the safety in a conference room, D-3002 provides with an alarm interface to connect with alarm. If the working voltage reaches at +5V, it will trigger the alarm, the LCD screen of D-3002 will show “ALARM”. At that moment, you will not be able to operate D-3002. After you finish dealing with this alarm, it will automatically return to the previous w orki ng stat e .

6. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

1) If the units cannot be controlled by the front panel buttons, maybe the system is
online, please cut off the connection between the control unit and PC.
2) When the control unit is not able to communicate with PC by connecting the twisted
pair or RS232 cable: Maybe the twisted or the RS232 cabl e is connected loosely or have already
been broken, please connect it again or change for another one.
Maybe the COM port number is not the same wi th the controlled one.
3) If the POWER indicator doesn’t work or no respond to any operation, please make
sure the power cord connection is good.
4) If the static becomes stronger when connecting the discussion units, it probably due
to bad grounding of the control unit, please check the grounding and make sure if the control unit is con nect ed w ell, otherwise it would damage the control unit.
5) If the unit cannot be controlled through the front panel buttons or control software,
the unit may have already been broken. Please send it to the dealer for repairing.
