xStream Speaker cable
Congratulations on your purchase of the world’s most advanced speaker cable.
The PS Audio xStream Speaker cable will provide an audible enhancement to any type of musical system.
Some qualities characteristic of the xStream Speaker cables are:
• Multistrand/multigauge design
• Soldered connections * Interchangeable, gold plated banana and spade end connectors
• Available in Prelude, Plus, Statement and Statement Bi-Wire congurations
Connections
The xStream Speaker cable includes both spade lugs and banana plugs for connecting to standard binding posts. The connectors are threaded and can be removed simply by unscrewing them.
Note: the banana plugs must be gripped by the base of the plug as the tip spins freely.
While the cables ship with the banana plugs connected, the spade lug connectors tend to provide a tighter, more secure connection and may provide a sonic advantage due to their greater contact area.
The Bi-Wire cable provides isolated paths for the high frequency and low frequency components of the signal. It can provide a superior transmission by optimizing the type of cable each of the frequencies travel along.
Setup Guide
The xStream speaker cables are stiff and heavy. Position them as best you can before attaching the banana or spade connectors to amplier and speakers.
Pre-bending the cables before installation can help them t in tricky locations. Ensure that pre-bending is done before the cables are connected to either the amplier or speakers.
Ensure that the amplier and the speaker (if applicable) is powered off before making or changing any speaker connections. Connect the cable to the speaker end rst, to avoid the possibility of shorting out the amplier.
Due to the weight of the cables it may be necessary to support them. Use the included Velcro straps to provide strain relief if necessary
Always connect the positive (+) terminal on the amplier to the positive (+) terminal on the speaker.
Always connect the negative (-) terminal on the amplier to the negative (-) terminal on the speaker.
Bi-Wire setup
The Bi-Wire cable has two wires on the input (amplier side), and four wires on the output (speaker side). The output wiring is as follows:
Blue = High - White = High + Black = Low - Red = Low +
