PS Power Plants created the revolution in power technology that is sweeping the audio
video industry today. The world’s first and only pure AC regenerator, the Power Plant,
produces a laboratory grade AC power output that is pure, regulated and protected.

Power Plant

™

regenerator technology takes the raw AC out of the wall, converts it to pure
DC voltage (like a battery) and rebuilds the voltage into a perfect AC sinewave to power
connected equipment. The end result; AC power is completely rebuilt and perfected.

Power Plants provide complete user control over the output voltage, frequency and

Regenerated Power

Regenerated power is the process of

taking raw AC from the wall, converting

it to DC and then rebuilding perfect AC

power to feed connected equipment.

Regeneration assures that the original

AC has almost no bearing on the output

fed to your equipment. The Power Plant is

the world’s only high-end AC regenerator

and is superior to all other forms of

power filtration, correction or cleansing.

Regulated Clean Output

The AC power at your wall outlet is

anything but steady. Dips and bumps in

the voltage are commonplace. Power

amplifiers and projectors are adversely

affected and can result in fewer watts to

your loudspeakers or a dimmer picture.

Power Plants regulate the voltage to

better than 1%, typically 0.1%.

MultiWave, TubeWave and AutoWave

To further improve the performance of

the Power Plants, PS Audio has

designed unique waveforms that go

beyond the performance potential of a

basic sine wave.

Power Ports

Nickel plated and highly polished contacts

in the Power Port help provide superior

connectivity. All Power Plants exclusively

use Power Port AC receptacles to provide

the most ideal cable connection possible.

Adjustable Output Voltage

Power Plants provide the user the

freedom to adjust the output voltage

with 1-volt increments, regardless of the

input AC voltage.

Variable Frequency

Power Plants allow the user to adjust

the AC frequency from 50Hz to 120Hz,

(in 1Hz increments) to find the best

possible performance point. In North

America the frequency of the AC line is

60Hz. In many other parts of the world

the frequency is 50Hz. While these are

standards within a particular country they

are not necessarily the best frequencies

to optimize AV performance.

The P300 started the power revolution in the audio video
world. It is the classic analog AC power regenerator that
provides up to 300 watts of perfect power for connected
equipment. Designed primarily as a pure power generator
for source equipment such as CD players, preamplifiers
and processors, the P300 is even capable of powering
small power amplifiers and integrated amplifiers as well.

P300

The P500 Power Plant will produce up to 500 watts of
pure, balanced power. From its regenerated outputs the
P500 can power most small to medium systems in their
entirety. With its built in Ultimate Outlet, the P500 will pass
through clean protected AC power to any size load. The
P500 is the most popular and versatile AC regenerator.

P500

The P1000 is the largest AC regenerator. Capable of

The PS Ultimate Outlet represents a major breakthrough in passive AC protection and
cleaning. Based on a unique non-limiting AC technology, the Ultimate Outlet provides both

The PS Audio Power Director Series is based on the Ultimate Outlet design and includes
two models: the 3.5 and the 4.7. Both models provide remarkable surge and spike

Power Management

Star Wiring

Star wiring is the preferred wiring

technique because each piece of

powered equipment will not contaminate

the neighboring equipment. All PS Audio

power management products are star

wired to minimize equipment interaction.

Unrestricted Power Path

Most power products use as little copper

as is allowed for safety. While this practice

is indeed safe, it is not desirable as too

little copper results in restricted power

delivery. PS Audio uses much more

copper than required to allow for

unrestricted power delivery which is

essential to great audio and video

performance.

Sophisticated Control

The Power Director line uses micro-

processor technology to monitor the

power line and provide convenience

features such as switched and delayed

outlets. The Power Director 4.7 allows

full control via the included remote.

Power Ports

Every PS power management product

utilizes the state of the art Power Port for

power delivery. Custom manufactured to

PS Audio specifications, the Power Port

Up to 40dB of Cleaning

The Power Director and Ultimate Outlet

When an extra AC receptacle is needed, don’t compromise
the quality of the AC by using an off-the-shelf outlet extender.
A surprising level of degradation occurs with these less than
adequate devices. The PS Juice Bar provides 6 additional
outlets, each wired in a star configuration reducing the
potential for interference from associated equipment.

Juice Bar

Each piece of equipment receives its power through an
AC receptacle. Most standard power receptacles use
cheap connectors with inexpensive materials. Over time
the internal stamped brass can corrode and provide a less
than adequate connection from the AC mains. Get the
power delivery system right from the beginning of the
chain for the best performance possible.

Power Port

Controlling the audio signal and powering the loudspeakers are two tasks that require the
utmost care in the creation of an audio product. Years of experience and hundreds of
listening hours are used in the design phase of each product.

Musical, accurate and powerful, the PS Audio preamplifier and power amplifiers are both
beautiful works of the engineering art and the sculptor’s finely crafted metalwork.

The PCA-2 preamplifier can be configured as a state of the art two-channel preamplifier or
a 5.1 channel control center with the Multichannel option. Purists can add the External
Power Supply for the PCA-2 as well as the optional phono preamplifier.

The HCA-2 power amplifier represents the future of power amplification with its unique
SDAT™ power output stage that produces little heat while providing full power to your
loudspeakers. At 150 watts per channel, the HCA-2 is a stunningly efficient presentation
of music.

The Classic 250 is PS Audio’s statement amplifier. Designed around a no feedback, fully
balanced output stage, the Classic 250 is both musical and powerful. The amplifier can be
configured in stereo at 250 watts per channel or in mono as 1000 watts per channel.

Ferrite Cleaning

The PS xStream power cable line is the

only power cable in the world that uses

patent pending ferrite impregnated

distributed shield in the outer jacket.

Ferrite is a magnetic material that can

significantly reduce high frequency

interference in a power cable when

properly implemented. So, not only do

the xStream power cables deliver

unimpeded power but that power is

Multiple Shields

Shielding the xStream cables from outside

noise and interference can be just as

important as shielding the outside world
