Assemble Wall Brackets
1. Attach one Left Wall Bracket Ear (1A) and one Right Wall Bracket Ear (1C) to the Middle Wall Bracket (1B) using four M6 x 8 Tap Screws (16)
2. Be sure the ears on 1A and 1C are placed behind the Middle Wall Bracket (1B). When secured, the back of the wall bracket should be ush, and the ears should be pointing downward
3. Repeat with other Wall Bracket
4. Once the brackets are fully assembled, these will be referred to as the upper and lower wall brackets
(they are interchangeable)

Assemble Uprights
1. Place an Upright Plate (2B) inside of a Bottom Upright (2C) piece, align the ve holes of the two pieces, loosely secure the Upright Plate to the Bottom Upright using four M6 x 8 Tap Screws (16). Be sure that the largest hole in the Uright Plate (2B) will be inserted into the Bottom Upright (2C)
The difference between the Bottom Upright (2C) and the Top Upright
(2A) is that the Bottom Upright has a foot plug
2. Repeat with Top Upright (2A)
3. Slide the two upright pieces together so the Upright Plates (2B) align with
the holes of the opposite uprights. Secure the Upright Plates (2B) to both the Top (2A) and Bottom (2C) Upright pieces using eight more M6 x 8 Tap Screws (16)
4. Tighten all M6 x 8 Tap Screws (16)

Starting Standard Installation
Standard installation is for ceilings 108” or taller. If your ceiling is shorter than
108” please see page 12 for modications, or contact PRx Performance:
support@prxperformance.com or 1-701-566-0452
Locate Studs
1. Fold-Up Murphy Rack with Extended Pull-Up Bar is designed to be mounted to wood studs with standard 16” or 24” spacing, with or without drywall
2. For mounting your rack to a wall with non-standard stud spacing, please email us at support@prxperformance.com
3. PRx recommends professional installation for mounting the wall brackets to a block, concrete, or metal stud wall
4. Use a stud nder to locate the rightmost stud where you intend to install the right side of your Rack
5. Begin at the height of your lower bracket (19”)
6. With a stud nder, locate both the left and right edge of the stud and mark them with a pencil
7. Mark the center of the stud between the edges with a pencil
8. Find and mark the same stud at the height of the Wall Brackets (19” and 88”)
9. Locate and mark the remaining three studs in the same fashion. (If your studs are spaced 24”, you
will locate only two more)
Wall Bracket Helpful Tips
1. Bracket “ears” will point downward
2. Bracket measurements are on-center (This means measure from the middle of the hole)
3. The distance between the two wall brackets is the MOST IMPORTANT measurement and should
take precedence over the bracket distance from the oor (if there is a discrepancy). For the rack to stow properly, this measurement should be made precisely
4. Standard studs are spaced 16” apart and correspond with the four outside holes. The center hole is only used if studs are spaced 24”
5. Do not over tighten lag screws. Overtightening may strip the pilot hole
support@prxperformance.com 5
Mount Lower Bracket
1. Beginning with the right stud, measure 19” up from the oor and drill a pilot hole into the stud
2. Fasten a wall bracket to this stud with an M8 x 65 Lag Screw (5) and M8 Washer (6), but do not
tighten all the way
3. Using the same measurement on the leftmost stud, drill a pilot hole and fasten the left side of the wall bracket in the same fashion. Use a level to ensure the bracket is level horizontally
4. Finally, drill pilot holes through the remaining hole(s) and fasten M8 x 65 Lag Screws (5) with M8 Washers (6) into remaining stud(s), but do not fully tighten
Mount Upper Bracket
1. Using the same procedure as with the lower bracket, attach the upper bracket exactly 69” up from center to center of the lower bracket, or about 88” above the oor
2. Level the top bracket rst. Fully tighten the top lag screws. **DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN**. Hang a plumb line from the left ear and align the bottom bracket
3. Once in line and level, tighten all remaining screws
4. If, for any reason, you can’t mount the brackets at the recommended height, please refer to page 12
for installation modications or email support@prxperformance.com

Linkage Arms
Linkage Arm Assembly
1. Attach the Shock (3B) to the Linkage Arm (3A) using M6 x 16 Allen Bolt (3C) and M6 Nylock Nut (3D). Fully tighten M6 Nylock Nut (3D)
2. Once the shock is attached to the arm, place the M8 Nylock Nut (3E) onto the shock and lightly hand tighten. This will make installation more convenient later
3. Repeat with other three Linkage Arms and shocks

Linkage Arm Attachment to Wall Brackets
1. Place the small side of the Plastic Spacer (7) in the straight, gas-shock facing, portion of the Linkage Arm(3A) as pictured below
2. Place the Linkage Arm (3A) with the inserted Plastic Spacer (7), on the inside of the wall bracket “ear”
3. Attach the Linkage Arm (3A) to the wall bracket using a M16 x 35 Hex Head Bolt (8) and M16 Washer
(9) on the outside of the wall bracket “ear” and a M16 Washer (9) and M16 Nylock Nut (10) on the
opposite side
4. Tighten using a 24mm socket and 24mm
wrench
*NOTE: DO NOT over tighten any of the
pivot points. This may result in the rack feeling “stiff ” moving up and down. It should be able to move up and down freely
5. Repeat so all four linkage arms are attached to the wall brackets
*NOTE: DO NOT attach the shocks to the
wall brackets at this point of assembly

Assemble Extended Pull-Up Bar
1. Lay out parts 4A through 4D to match the diagram below. Pay close attention to the holes h1 & h3 on 4A. Only one of
the support sides (4A) will have a divot for the pull-up bar stud on 4B
2. The Right and Left Arms (4D) should be angled outward on the bottom section of the extended pull-up bar.
3. Using M8 x 30 Hex Head Bolt (17) attach Left Support (4A) to a Bar (4B) through h1. The stud on the Bar (4B) should t into the divot of Left Support (4A) during assembly. Then repeat on the other side with the Bar (4B) and Right Support (4C). Fully tighten the pull-up bar as this will reduce movement of the bar while in use
4. Using M8 x 25 Allen Bolt (18), attach Left Support (4A) to the Bar (4B) through h3 and repeat with the Bar (4B) and Right Support (4C)
5. Attach Left Arm (4D) to Left Support (4A) through h2 of both pieces using M16 x 35 Hex Head Bolt (8) and M16 Nylock Nut (10). Repeat with Right Support (4C) and Right Arm (4D)

Attach Extended Pull-Up Bar To Uprights
1. Lay uprights on ground with the narrow side facing upward (with space between for Extended Pull-Up Bar)
2. Lay the Extended Pull-Up Bar at on the ground so it is curving upward between the tops of the uprights (see diagram). The top of the uprights will not have a plug
3. If needed, rotate the Extended Pull-Up Bar so h4 aligns with the 5th side hole down from the top of the uprights
4. Using a M16 x 80 Hex Head Bolt (12), two M16 Washers (9), and one M16 Nylock Nut (10) connect h4 of the Extended Pull-Up Bar to the 5th hole down from the top of the upright (see diagram). You will need to lift uprights slightly so that the holes align. Do not fully tighten (hand tighten). Repeat on other side
h4
h2
h2
5. Lift top of Extended Pull-Up Bar off the ground until the Extended Pull-Up Bar arms hang down to align h5 with the top hole of the uprights. Attach the Extended Pull-Up Bar to the uprights using an M16 x 85 Hex Head Bolt (11), two M16 Washers (9), and one M16 Nylock Nut (10). Do not fully tighten (hand tighten). Repeat on other side
6. Tighten bolts in h4 and h2, but leave h5 loose (this will come off when you attach the rack to the top linkage arms).
7. Team lift rack into place (approximately 20” from the wall), and begin attaching linkage arms starting at the top
