1. If there i s no sound when card i s presented to the r eading area, the reading function maybe
damaged .
2. If there i s no sound when pres s the keys, the keyp ad maybe damaged .
3. When add c ard, if the device e xits program mod e automaticall y, the memory maybe
damaged .
4. If valid c ard is read and OK lig ht is on, while rela y does not act, the lock control may
malfunc tion.
5. If relay k eeps on in open stat e, buzzer keeps bu zzing, and SW- GND is short or lowe r than
, the keys ma ybe damaged.
6. MenCi- GND is short or lowe r than 3.5V, the door magnet inpu t maybe damaged.
7. Voltage o f DATA0 , DATA1 and GND sh ould be higher tha n 3.5V, otherwise exte rior reader can
not work pr operly.
8. When RS4 85 is applied, vol tage between 485 + and 485- is around 5 v oltages.

1. Remove the two keys first.
2. Unfasten the two screws.
Push up the back cover to open

Invalid C ard: If the reader s ounds twice afte r the card is
present ed to the reading ar ea for one second, t he card is invalid .
Valid Ca rd: If after the car d is presented to th e reading area for
0.5 secon ds, the reader sou nds once, green li ghts on and
delay act s, then the card is va lid.
When the bu zzer sounds once ,
Dial “*”, t he orange light fl ashes; Input“000 000”, the orange
light tur ns on and device ent ers program mode . This means
the keypa d is OK.

in normal s tate, 1C- NC is short circuit while C- NO
is open cir cuit. When prese nt the valid card or press
the exit button, 1C-1NC tu rns into open circ uit, while 1C1NO is shor t circuit.

If valid de fault input is nor mal open, no input a vailable for the
device wh en input signal is o pen-circuit; w hile input avail able
when inpu t signal is close- circuit. The sta tus reversed whe n
valid def ault input is norm al close. The user can de cide the
type of def ault input setup i n the software. AC- 930P has two
input int erfaces: SW- GND is button inpu t; MenCi- GND is door
magnet in put. Both of them ca n be changed in “cha nnel setup”.

After the e xterior device i s connected with AC -930P, p lease
select Tools---Card Re gister in the soft ware program. Th en,
select th e exterior devic e and start to read th e card. If you
can find th e card number in the l ist, it means the ex terior device
works cor rectly.

Test the Communication

AC-930P h as two kinds of comm unication mode s: RS232
and RS485 . User can chose the c ommunication m ode by
setting u p the jumper. AC-930P can connect with PC serial port,
and one ser ial port only conn ects with one AC-9 30P.
RS485 sig nal should be conv erted to RS232 sig nal before it
can commu nicate with PC. RS 485 can connect wi th
multipl e devices. After A SI-8930 is conne cted with PC, user
can detec t AC-930P addre ss by detecting se rial port (pleas e
refer to th e user manual to set up the address). I f
“connec ted” is displayed , the communicat ion is ok. User
can get ver sion and model num ber of AC-930P by i nputting the
address a nd clicking Auto De tect.

Test the time of AC-930P
Time adjustm ent is shown in the picture on the left. The time of
control ler should be in con sistent with PC. U ser can get
updated t ime for controll er by press“Refres h”. If controlle r
time is inc orrect, card rec ord may get lost, va lidity of cardread is in do ubt, and moreove r, valid card may tu rn into be
invalid .
PC time should be in consistent with controller time;
otherwise the reader may not work properly.

Urgent Ma intenance：
1. When the e xterior reader c an not read the card s, please
test the vo ltage of DATA0—GND and DATA1---GND. If the
voltage i s less than 3.5V, please we ld TVS2, TVS3.
2. When doo r magnet input fai ls, please test th e voltage
between M enci and GND. If the v oltage is less tha n 3.5V,
please we ld TVS5.
3. When exi t button input fai ls, please test th e voltage between
SW and GND. I f the voltage is les s than 3.5V, pl ease weld
TVS4.
