It can be optionally equipped with a front panel and louvers.
The air heater PROTON is an element of a heating system. It is designed for heating air and its even distribution in buildings. Its work is based on axial fan functioning, which charges the air and pass it through a copper-aluminum heat exchanger in which the heat medium (hot water) flows at certain temperature. Heated air is supplied into a room and is directed to the working area.

5. CONSTRUCTION
Major components of the air heater PROTON GUARD
Diuser
Only plastic diusers are used for this series produced by the method of vacuum molding. In addition to creating a form around an impeller, the diuser performs a role of a body to fix a fan and additional stiening ribs are provided ad hoc. The diuser is fixed to a heat exchanger by a flat side, that enables to fully use air charged by a fan to move through lamellas of the heat exchanger.
Fan
The fan is fixed in a plastic diuser on the back of the unit, thanks to which air can be eectively charged in a heat exchanger. The diuser is made in the shape of a ring around fan blades as well as creates a body of the air heater. Fans applied are axial and can have either single-phase electronically commutated or single-phase asynchronous motors. These fans are manufactured in a single production process, tested and balanced by the manufacturer, installed on a protection grill which protects the heater from falling in of debris, leaves etc. as well as prevents possible personnel injures or death caused by rotating fan blades.
PROTON G 710 with single-phase asynchronous motor
This type of motors can work only with nominal voltage of 230 V. To start the motor a capacitor is needed, so the latter is installed into the motor, and this eliminates the necessity of using external elements to be connected to the power network. The use of the single-phase motor enables regulation of rotation speed by additional step-down transformers or to use of additional contacts from motor windings with dierent powers.
PROTON G 750 with electronically commutated motor
The motor contains a built-in electronic controller which enables to set rotation speed. This technology makes possible remote smooth regulation of the motor and increases its eciency. Using appropriate control elements in an automatic mode you can maintain necessary speed for as comfortable as possible relation between noise of blades and heating power of the unit. Construction of these motors doesn’t dier from asynchronous ones.
Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger consists of copper tubes and aluminum lamellas pressed on them. It is equipped with copper pipes with threading connection (external thread 3/4”). The copper-aluminum heat exchanger is distinguished by high eciency, is not exposed to corrosion if you don’t use substances and impurities in a heat medium causing copper corrosion. Maximal parameters of heat medium supply are 105 °C/1,6 MPa. The air heaters PROTON GUARD are equipped with the heat exchanger with polymeric protection cover with enlarged thickness and interlamellar distance, that allows to use them eectively in the agriculture sector.

10. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance
20
90
It is necessary to check regularly the level of pollution of the heat exchanger surface. Dirt on its lamellas lowers heating output of the air heater as well as negatively influences fan functioning creating extra aerodynamic resistance.
Clean the heat exchanger following these steps:
Disconnect the air heater from power supply. Dismount the fan.
Be careful not to damage the aluminum lamellas.
It forbidden to use tools which can damage the heat exchanger surface.
It is recommended to clean with help of the compressed air stream.
The air stream has to be directed perpendicularly to the lamellas and be moved along the lamellas.
Pressure of the stream started from the lowest one to reach full cleaning of the heat exchanger surface.
