The BG-50 series manual fire alarm station manufactured by The
Protectowire Company is enclosed in an attractive cast aluminum
housing that will harmonize with any decor.The bright red finish with
raised white letters assures fast recognition when seconds count.

Operation is accomplished by a simple pull of the door which
breaks a concealed glass rod and releases a spring-actuated switch.
Once actuated the switch remains energized until the station has
been manually reset.Alarms,annunciators,or other emergency
systems will continue to function during this time.The pull door
feature completely shields the operator from broken particles of
glass and prevents jamming.After the alarm has been sounded,the
door will remain forward to give visual indication that the station
has been operated.

System testing without breaking the glass rod may be accomplished
by opening the front or pull door of the station with a key.The key
is also used for resetting after a normal operation and the glass rod
has been replaced.This method makes it impossible to reset by
accident or by an unauthorized individual.

The BG-50 series also offers a surface mounted NEMA-4X weather­proof model with gasketed back box to provide a complete line of
manual stations suitable for a wide variety of applications.

Electrical rating of the BG-50 series is 3 amperes,30VAC or

42.4VDC.A compression type terminal block provides for easy
electrical connection.
