2. PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG
LOCKSTAR mit Griff (LG)/ LOCKSTAR ohne Griff (LS)
LOCKSTAR bezeichnet eine Reihe von Produkten zur zusätzlichen Absicherung von Fenstern, Fenstertüren (Terrassentüren) und Hebe-SchiebeTüren. Für Fenster und Fenstertüren besteht die Absicherung in einer
Kombination aus mechanischer Verriegelung und elektronischer Überwachung/
Alarmierung. Beim LOCKSTAR ohne Griff entfällt die mechanische Verriegelung
und beschränkt sich auf die elektronische Überwachung.

3. SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Allgemein
• Das Produkt und die Verpackung sind kein Spielzeug. Kinder davon
fernhalten, es besteht Verletzungs- und Erstickungsgefahr.
• Das Produkt darf nicht verwendet werden, wenn es defekt ist. Der Betrieb
von defekten elektrischen Produkten kann zu Gefahren für Personen und
zu Sachschäden führen.
LOCKSTAR
• Das Produkt darf nicht mit Wasser in Berührung kommen und sollte nicht
mit einem nassen Tuch gereinigt werden. Verwenden Sie hierfür ein nebelfeuchtes Tuch.
• Öffnen Sie das Produkt nur zum Einlegen oder Auswechseln der Batterien.
Hinweis: Verwenden Sie keine Akkus.
LOCKSTAR PLUG
• Im ausgeschalteten Zustand sind das Produkt und der eingesteckte
Verbraucher nicht vollständig vom Stromnetz getrennt.
• Das Produkt nicht öffnen oder anderweitig verändern.
• Das Produkt nur an fachmännisch installierten, frei zugänglichen und nicht
defekten Schutzkontaktsteckdosen (230 Volt, 50 Hz) anschließen.
Das Produkt ist nur für den Einzelbetrieb geeignet. Nicht mehrere Funksteckdosen hintereinander schalten!
Hinweis zur Batterieverordnung
Batterien dürfen keinesfalls über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden,
wenn sie leer sind. Verbrauchte Batterien gehören in die extra dafür
vorgesehenen Sammelbehälter, die überall dort zu finden sind,
wo Batterien verkauft werden. Ist kein Sammelbehälter in der Nähe,
können gebrauchte Batterien auch bei den Problemstoff-Sammelstellen der Gemeinde abgegeben werden.
Achtung: Auf Polaritäten achten (+/-), Batterien nicht aufladen, nicht öffnen,
nicht ins Feuer werfen oder kurzschließen. Von Kindern fernhalten.

4. BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSE VERWENDUNG
Allgemein
Nutzen Sie die LOCKSTAR Sicherheitsgriffe für Fenster- und Fenstertüren zum
Überwachen und Bedienen Ihres Fensters.
• Das Produkt ist nur für die Verwendung in trockenen Innenräumen
geeignet (Schutzart IP20).
• Die nicht bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung des Produktes erhöht die
Gefahr eines Stromschlags oder Kurzschlusses.
• Folgende Umstände können die Reichweite und die störungsfreie Funktion
der Funksteckdose beeinträchtigen:
• Der Betrieb in der Nähe von Geräten mit magnetischer Strahlung oder
metallischen Flächen
• Bauliche Gegebenheiten

Demontage des alten Griffes:
Den vorhandenen Fenstergriff in eine 3 bzw.
9 Uhr Stellung bringen. Entfernen Sie die
Abdeckung, falls vorhanden, und lösen Sie die
Befestigungsschrauben.
Den LOCKSTAR Sicherheitsgriff aus der Verpackung nehmen und die Vierkantstiftlänge je
nach Fenstertyp auf 32/37/43 mm einstellen.
Die Fixierung erfolgt mit dem beigelegten
Sechskantschlüssel über eine Madenschraube.
Tipp: Orientieren Sie sich an der Stiftlänge des
alten Fenstergriffes!
Den Sicherheitsgriff nun in eine 3 bzw. 9 Uhr
Stellung (entsprechend dem entfernten
Fenstergriff) drehen und die Abdeckung öffnen
(anheben und drehen).
Den Sicherheitsgriff auf das Fensterprofi l aufstecken (Batteriefach nach unten) und mit den
passenden Schrauben befestigen. Je nach eingestellter Länge des Vierkantstiftes wählen Sie
die entsprechenden Schrauben (siehe Tabelle
unten) aus dem Beipack aus. Verwenden Sie
oben die kurze und unten die lange Schraube!

5. MONTAGE
5.1 MONTAGE LOCKSTAR MIT GRIFF
Eine stabilere Befestigung kann durch die Verwendung der mitgelieferten Senkkopfschraube oder dem Klebepad erzielt werden. Der Einsatz ist optional!

5.2 MONTAGE LOCKSTAR OHNE GRIFF
Den LOCKSTAR aus der Verpackung nehmen
und mit den LEDs nach oben auf dem
Fensterflügel befestigen. Für diese Variante ist
eine Befestigung mittels Senkkopfschrauben
oder zwei Klebepads vorgesehen.
Die mitgelieferten Batterien nach der
Montage polungsrichtig einlegen. Bei richtig
eingelegten Batterien ertönt im normalen
Modus ein doppelter Piepton mit doppeltem
grünen Blinken der LEDs. Im LS-Modus ertönt
ein dreifacher Piepton begleitet von einem
dreifachen grünen Blinken.

6. FUNKTIONSBESCHREIBUNG
6.2 LOCKSTAR mit Griff für Fenster und Fenstertüren (LG)
LOCKSTAR bezeichnet eine Reihe von Produkten zur zusätzlichen Absicherung
von Fenstern, Fenstertüren und Hebe-Schiebe-Türen. Für Fenster- und Fenstertüren besteht die Absicherung in einer Kombination aus mechanischer
Verriegelung und elektronischer Überwachung.
Bedienung mechanische Verriegelung:
Mechanische Verriegelung nach oben schieben (Fensterfl ügel nicht
gekippt):
• Vierkant wird blockiert und ist in aktueller Position fi xiert. Elektronik
wird aktiviert und die Bewegung des Fensters überwacht.
• Alarmsignal (Ton und Licht) ertönt im Falle eines Einbruchs (Aufhebeln, Aufbrechen oder Scheibe einschlagen), Alarmdauer von
ca. 3 Minuten mit 115 dB (A), kann nicht ausgeschaltet werden.
Mechanische Verriegelung in Kippstellung nach oben schieben:
• Zweite Variante der Überwachung wird aktiv.
• Bei Bewegungen des gekippten Fensters (Zug und Druck) wird der
Alarm nicht ausgelöst.
• Bei Entriegelung des Griffes bevor das Fenster geschlossen wird,
löst der Alarm aus.
• Bei Überschreitung eines Kippwinkels von 45° löst der Alarm aus.
• ACHTUNG: Schließen Sie das Fenster immer vor dem Entriegeln.
Griff- und mechanische Verriegelungsbedienung:
Fenster öffnen, kippen oder schließen:
• Stellen Sie den Griff auf 3, 6 bzw. 9 oder 12 Uhr. Befi ndet sich der
Griff in einer 3 bzw. 9 Uhr Stellung, kann die mechanische
Verriegelung nicht aktiviert werden.
• Die Alarmüberwachung wird aktiviert, wenn die Verriegelung nach
oben geschoben wird. Alarmüberwachung deaktivieren,
Verriegelung nach unten.
Um irreparable Schäden am LOCKSTAR oder Ihrem Fenster zu vermeiden, darf der Griff nicht im verriegelten Zustand bewegt werden!
Der Griff muss vor dem Drehen immer erst entriegelt werden!

6. FUNKTIONSBESCHREIBUNG
Sichtbare Taste
• Durch eine sichtbare Taste (5) am Sicherheitsgriff kann sowohl die
Einstellung der Urlaubsfunktion als auch die Einstellung der
Sensitivitätsstufen vorgenommen werden.
Alarmfunktion
• Die Signalisierung der Alarm- und Funktionsbereitschaft wird durch
Verriegeln/Entriegeln aktiviert.
• Der Sicherheitsgriff erkennt die gängigen Einbruchsszenarien wie
Aufhebeln und Aufstemmen. Eine starke Erschütterung der Scheibe
und des Fensterfl ügels führen zu einem Auslösen des Alarms.
• Der Alarm hält ca. 3 Minuten an, begleitet von einem roten
Blinken. Nach dem Alarm geht der Sicherheitsgriff wieder in den
normalen Betriebsmodus über.
• Aufgrund der Alarmerkennung mittels Beschleunigungssensor ist
das Gerät grundsätzlich nicht fehlalarmfrei. Ein Schlag gegen die
Scheibe oder das Auftreffen eines Balls können Alarm auslösen.
Sensitivitätseinstellung
• Schalten Sie die mechanische Verriegelung zuerst aus!
• Sie können die Sensitivität der Alarmfunktion ändern. Der Sicherheitsgriff befi ndet sich bei Auslieferung in Stufe 4 (empfohlen). 1 =
wenig sensibel bis 4 = sehr sensibel. Der Griff muss entriegelt sein.
• Halten Sie die Taste (5) einige Sekunden gedrückt, bis ein
Quittiersignal ertönt. Über die LEDs (6) werden gelbe Blinksignale
ausgegeben, deren Anzahl der eingestellten Stufe entspricht.
• Mittels eines kurzen Tastendrucks kann zur jeweils nächsten Stufe
gewechselt werden. Die gewählte Stufe wird gelb signalisiert. Nach
Stufe 4 erfolgt wieder Stufe 1.
• Hinweis: Sollten Sie während der Einstellungsphase zu lange
warten (mehr als 60 Sekunden), ertönt ein Abbruchsignal. Ihre
geänderte Einstellungen wird nicht gespeichert.
• Ein langer Tastendruck speichert die gewählte Einstellung. Die
Anzahl der Quittiertöne entspricht der gespeicherten Sensitivität.

Urlaubseinstellung (nur mit Griff)
• Um die Urlaubsfunktion zu aktivieren bzw. zu deaktivieren, genügt
ein kurzer Tastendruck (5).
• Mit der Urlaubseinstellung blinken die LEDs (6) im Abstand einiger
Sekunden rot auf, um potenzielle Einbrecher schon im Vorfeld
abzuschrecken.
• Hinweis: Eine dauerhaft eingeschaltete Urlaubsfunktion führt zu
erhöhtem Batterieverbrauch. Aktivieren Sie die Urlaubsfunktion nur
bei Bedarf, um die Batterien zu schonen und eine lange Lebensdauer der Batterien zu erreichen.
Warnung „Batterie leer“
• Einige Zeit bevor die Batterien leer sind, warnt der Sicherheitsgriff
durch Klicktöne, dass die Batterien demnächst ausgetauscht
werden müssen.
• Hinweis: Verwenden Sie keine Akkus! Nutzen Sie die im
Lieferumfang enthaltenen Batterien (AAA Alkali, 1,5 V).
Kippstellungssensor
• Der Sicherheitsgriff erkennt, ob das Fenster gekippt oder nicht
gekippt ist.
Temperatur- und Luftfeuchtigkeitssensor (nur bei Bluetooth)
• Die Werte dieser Sensoren werden zyklisch gemessen und per
Funk an die PLUG-Funksteckdose übermittelt.
Kalibrierung (nur bei Bedarf, siehe FAQs)
• Um die Kalibrierung auszuführen betätigen Sie die Eingabe-Taste (5)
durch einen längeren Tastendruck >15 Sec.
• Ein türkises Leuchten der LEDs (6) begleitet von einem
ansteigenden Signalton.
• Der Griff muss zum Kalibrieren verriegelt sein.

6.3 LOCKSTAR ohne Griff
für Fenster, Fenstertüren und Hebe-Schiebe-Türen (LS)
Ein LOCKSTAR ohne Griff verfügt nicht über die Mechanik zur Bedienung eines
Fensters oder einer Tür, sondern besteht lediglich aus dem Elektronikmodul mit
Abdeckung.
Funktion:
• Diese Variante beschränkt sich auf die elektronische Überwachung
ohne mechanische Absicherung.
• Die Tastenbelegungen weichen zum Teil von der Griff-Variante ab.
Abweichungen werden unter dem Punkt Bedienung erklärt.
• Bei Aktivierung blinkt die LOCKSTAR Variante ohne Griff im
Abstand von ca. 4 Sekunden.
• Hinweis: In dieser Variante gibt es keine Urlaubsfunktion!
Verwendungsmöglichkeiten:
1. Hebe-Schiebeelemente:
• Bei aktiver Überwachung wird zusätzlich zur Einbruchüberwachung
das Aufschieben erkannt.
2. Dreh-Kipp-Fenster:
• Diese Variante wird ebenfalls mit den LEDs nach oben montiert.
• Einbruchüberwachung bei Dreh-Kipp-Fenstern!

7. INBETRIEBNAHME LOCKSTAR PLUG
LOCKSTAR mit Griff
Stecken Sie die PLUG-Funksteckdose ein und
warten Sie, bis die LED nicht mehr grün
leuchtet. Halten Sie die LED-Taste so lange
gedrückt, bis diese orange blinkt.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der LOCKSTAR
Sicherheitsgriff nicht verriegelt ist. Führen Sie
anschließend einen Doppelklick am LOCKSTAR
mit Griff aus. Die LED an der PLUG Funk-Steckdose leuchtet kurz grün auf.
Die Verbindung ist nun hergestellt.
LOCKSTAR ohne Griff
Stecken Sie die PLUG-Funksteckdose ein und
warten Sie, bis die LED nicht mehr grün
leuchtet. Drücken und halten Sie die LED-Taste,
bis diese orange blinkt.
Führen Sie anschließend einen Doppelklick
am LOCKSTAR ohne Griff aus. Die LED an der
PLUG Funk-Steckdose leuchtet grün.
Die Verbindung ist nun hergestellt.

7. INBETRIEBNAHME LOCKSTAR PLUG
Vorbereitung
Laden Sie sich die „LOCKSTAR Sicherheitsgriff“ App über den Android Play
Store, den Apple App Store oder www.lockstar.de herunter und installieren Sie
die App. Starten Sie die App und gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
„Neue Funksteckdose registrieren“
• Klicken Sie auf „neue LOCKSTAR PLUG registrieren“ und folgen Sie den
Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm. Die Registrierung der PLUG-Funksteckdose ist nur einmal notwendig.
• Nehmen Sie die PLUG-Funksteckdose heraus und scannen Sie mit Ihrem
Smartphone den QR-Code auf der Rückseite.
• Falls die Registrierung fehlgeschlagen ist, wiederholen Sie den Vorgang.
Je nach Gerät können mehrere Versuche notwendig sein.
„Funksteckdose verbinden“
Wollen Sie sich nach der Registrierung mit der Funksteckdose
verbinden, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
• Starten Sie die LOCKSTAR App auf Ihrem Android/iOS Gerät und drücken
Sie auf „LOCKSTAR PLUG verbinden“. Es erscheint eine Liste aller einmal
registrierten Funksteckdosen in der App. Benennen Sie die Steckdose.
• Drücken Sie zweimal auf die LED-Taste an Ihrer Funksteckdose. Sobald
die Verbindung hergestellt wurde, wird die Funksteckdose auf Ihrem Gerät
als aktiv angezeigt. Bei fehlgeschlagener Verbindung wiederholen Sie den
Vorgang. Je nach Gerät können mehrere Versuche notwendig sein.
• Während die App mit der Funksteckdose verbunden ist, blinkt die
LED-Taste an der Funksteckdose grün.
• Sobald Sie die App verlassen, wird die Verbindung beendet. Die LED-Taste
hört auf zu blinken und die Regeln treten in Kraft.
Wichtiger Hinweis
• Trennen Sie die PLUG-Funksteckdose nicht vom Strom, solange die
LED-Taste blinkt oder leuchtet!

8. BEDIENUNG LOCKSTAR PLUG
8.1 Funktionen per LED-Taste
Der LOCKSTAR PLUG verfügt über eine LED-Taste, die in drei Farben
beleuchtet wird. Folgende Betriebsmodi Einstellungen lassen sich durch die
Taste umschalten bzw. aktivieren:
LED-Taste
Durch das Drücken der LED-Taste können Sie mehrere Modi auswählen:
• „Auto“ (LED-Taste leuchtet kurz grün auf): Die Steckdose ist im AutoModus. Die angelegten Regeln werden ausgeführt.
• „Ein“ (LED-Taste leuchtet kurz orange auf): Die Steckdose ist
eingeschaltet. Die angelegten Regeln werden ignoriert.
• „Aus“ (LED-Taste leuchtet kurz rot auf): Die Steckdose ist ausgeschaltet.
Die angelegten Regeln werden ignoriert.
• Hinweis: Sobald die Steckdose aus der Verbindung mit der App getrennt
wird, befindet sie sich im Modus „Auto“.
Werkseinstellung
• Drücken Sie die LED-Taste ca. 15 Sekunden, bis sie rot blinkt. Alle per Funk
gekoppelten Geräte, Regeln und Einstellungen sind gelöscht.
Wichtige Hinweise
• Trennen Sie die Funksteckdose nicht vom Strom, solange die LED-Taste
blinkt oder leuchtet!
• Bleibt die Steckdose länger als einen Tag vom Strom getrennt, kann die
Verbindung zu anderen Funk-Geräten unterbrochen sein. Bitte überprüfen
Sie dies, in dem Sie die mechanische Verriegelung ver- und entriegeln.
Sobald die Funksteckdose diese Information erhält, blinkt die LED-Taste
grün auf. Ist dies nicht der Fall, muss die Verbindung mit dem jeweiligen
Funk-Gerät erneuert werden. Gehen Sie dazu wie auf Seite 16 (Funksteckdose verbinden) beschrieben vor.

Tastenbelegung
• Kurzer einfacher Tastendruck: Wechsel des Betriebsmodus von AUTO
(LED-Taste leuchtet kurz grün auf) zu IMMER_AN (LED-Taste leuchtet kurz
orange auf) zu IMMER_AUS (LED-Taste leuchtet kurz rot auf) zu AUTO
usw.
• Doppelklick (Tastendruck): Wechselt in den App-Verbindungsmodus und
eine Verbindung zur App kann aufgebaut werden. Die LED blinkt langsam
grün, solange noch keine Verbindung aufgebaut ist. Das grüne Blinken wird
schneller, sobald eine Verbindung mit dem Smartphone aufgebaut wurde.
Sollte nach einem doppelten Tastendruck innerhalb einer Minute keine
Verbindung aufgebaut werden, wechselt der LOCKSTAR PLUG zurück in
den AUTO-Modus.
• Langer Tastendruck (> 3 Sekunden): Wechsel in den Pairing-Modus. Die
LED blinkt langsam orange. Es ist nun möglich, einen LOCKSTAR mit dem
LOCKSTAR PLUG zu koppeln.
• Sehr langer Tastendruck (> 15 Sekunden): Löschen aller Einstellungen wie
Regeln, Gerätenamen usw. Die LED blinkt schnell rot, während die Daten
gelöscht werden. Anschließend startet der LOCKSTAR PLUG neu.

8.2 Funktion per App
Geräte verwalten
Sie können per Funk gekoppelte Geräte umbenennen und löschen.
Regeln hinzufügen/bearbeiten
Sie können Schalt-Regeln für die Funksteckdose hinzufügen oder bearbeiten.
Folgende Arten von Regeln stehen zur Verfügung:
• Geräte-Regel:
Wenn Alarm ausgelöst ist, schaltet sich die Steckdose ein. Wenn Alarm
beendet ist, schaltet sich die Steckdose wieder aus.
• Durchschnitts-Regel (ab zwei Geräten möglich):
Wenn die Durchschnitts-Temperatur von Griff 1 und Griff 2 größer als 25°C
ist, schalte die Steckdose aus.
• Zeit-Regel:
Schalte am 24.12.2045 um 20:00 Uhr die Steckdose ein.
• Anwesenheits-Simulation:
Schalte am Wochenende mindestens zwei Mal und maximal fünf Mal pro
Stunde für mindestens 1 Stunde und maximal 3 Stunden die Steckdose
ein.
Logdaten
Sie haben Zugriff auf die Logdaten, die der LOCKSTAR per Bluetooth der
Funksteckdose mitgeteilt hat.
Einstellungen
• Sie können die allgemeinen Einstellungen der Funksteckdose bearbeiten.
• Sie können nach Updates suchen und diese installieren.

Bluetooth nur in Verbindung mit der LOCKSTAR PLUG
Um den vollen Funktionsumfang der Bluetooth Variante zu nutzen, müssen Sie
mindestens eine LOCKSTAR PLUG für die gesamten Fenstersicherheitsgriffe
einsetzen.
Bluetooth nur in Verbindung mit App
Der Bluetooth Sicherheitsgriff sendet regelmäßig Daten an die LOCKSTAR
PLUG-Funksteckdose. Um diese Daten verarbeiten zu können, benötigen Sie
unsere „LOCKSTAR Sicherheitsgriff“ App. Diese finden Sie unter: Android Play
Store, Apple App Store oder www.lockstar.de.
Bluetooth Funkverbindung
Die Funkreichweite des LOCKSTAR Bluetooth ist von den räumlichen
Gegebenheiten abhängig (Wandstärke usw.). Aber auch bei sehr dicken
Wänden und verschachtelteten Häusern kann die Reichweite zwischen
5 - 20 Metern betragen. Eine Bluetooth-Verbindung zwischen App und Plug ist
nur während des Einrichtens notwendig.
Fernsteuerung über App
Die LOCKSTAR App dient nicht als Fernbedienung. Der Alarm kann nur am
Fenstergriff selbst aktiviert werden.
Öffnungsarten
Die Sicherheitsgriffe sind so ausgelegt, dass Sie für Fenster mit DIN links und
DIN rechts funktionieren. Sie müssen nicht wie bei anderen Produkten die
Öffnungsart Ihres Fensters berücksichtigen.

Mechanische Verriegelung
Aus praktischen Gründen wurde auf eine Verriegelung der Fenster mit Schloss
verzichtet. Mit der mechanischen Verriegelung des LOCKSTARS sind Ihre Fenster auch ohne Griffschloß hervorragend gesichert, ohne dass Sie Angst haben
müssen, den Schlüssel zu verlieren.
Dauer Alarmsignal
Nach dem Auslösen des Alarms ertönt das Alarmsignal für 3 Minuten.
Lautstärke Alarmsignal
Der Alarmton hat eine Lautstärke von ca. 115 dB (A).
Vorkonfektionierter Sicherheitsgriff
Der LOCKSTAR wird vorkonfektioniert geliefert. Der Griff und die Schale sind
miteinander verbunden und können nicht ohne weiteres getrennt werden.
Widerstandsklasse RC2 und höher
Der LOCKSTAR besitzt keine RC2 Zertifizierung. Wir empfehlen bei Bedarf
einen RC2 zertifizierten Griff einzusetzen und den LOCKSTAR ohne Griff zusätzlich anzubringen. So kommen Sie in den Vorzug beider Sicherheitstechnologien.
Kein Alarm im gekippten Zustand (Neukalibrierung)
Sollte das Auslösen des Alarms im gekippten Zustand des Fensters nicht
funktionieren, bitten wir Sie den LOCKSTAR neu zu kalibrieren. Sehen Sie dazu

LOCKSTAR with handle (LG) / LOCKSTAR without handle (LS)
LOCKSTAR denotes a series of products for additional protection of windows,
glazed doors (terrace doors) and lift/sliding doors. For windows and glazed
doors the protection is provided by a combination of mechanical locking and
electronic monitoring / alarming. With the LOCKSTAR without handle, there is
no mechanical locking and protection is limited to electronic monitoring.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General
• The product and the packaging are not toys. Keep out of reach of
children, there is a risk of injury and choking or suffocation.
• The product must not be used if it is defective. The operation of defective
electrical products can cause personal injuries and material damage.
LOCKSTAR
• The product must never come into contact with water and should never be
cleaned with a wet cloth. Only use a slightly moist cloth to do this.
• Only open the product to insert or replace the batteries.
Note: Never use rechargeable batteries.
LOCKSTAR PLUG
• The product and any consumer that is plugged into it are not entirely
disconnected from the mains supply when the product is switched OFF.
• Do not open the product or modify it in any way whatsoever.
• Only connect the product to outlet sockets (230 Volt, 50 Hz) that are not
defective, are freely accessible and have been installed by a qualified
electrician.
The product is only suitable for individual operation. Do not plug several
wireless plugs into one another!
Note regarding disposal of batteries
Batteries must never be disposed of as household waste when
they are discharged. Dispose of discharged batteries in the special
collection containers provided wherever batteries are sold. If there
is no collection container in the vicinity, discharged batteries can be
handed in to the communal hazardous waste collection points.
IMPORTANT Observe the polarity (+/-), do not attempt to charge the batteries, do not open the batteries, do not throw batteries into fires or short circuit
them. Keep out of the reach of children.

4. INTENDED USE
General
Use the LOCKSTAR security handle for windows and glazed doors to monitor
and operate your windows.
• The product is suitable for use in dry indoor rooms (class of protection
IP20).
• Improper use of the product increases the risk of an electric shock or a
short circuit.
• The following conditions can negatively affect the range and interference-free function of the wireless plug:
• Operation in the vicinity of metal surfaces or devices that radiate
magnetism
• Structural conditions

LS
Removing the old handle:
Turn the existing handle to a 3 or
9 o’clock position. Please remove the cover if
any, and loosen the fi xing screws.
Remove the LOCKSTAR security handle
from the packaging and adjust the spindle to
32/37/43 mm to suit the type of window. Fix it
in this position using the Allen key provided to
tighten the grub screw.
Tip: Use the old spindle as a guide for the
length of the new spindle.

Turn the security handle to a 3 or 9 o’clock
position (corresponding to the position of
the old handle) and open the cover plate (lift
and turn).
Fit the security handle to the window profi le
(battery compartment at the bottom) and fasten
it in position using the appropriate screws.
Select the corresponding screws, to suit the
length of the spindle, from the accessories kit
provided (refer to the Table below). Use the
short screw at the top and the long screw at
the bottom!
A more stable fi xing can be reached by using the supplied countersunk head
screws. The application is optional!

5.2 INSTALLING LOCKSTAR WITHOUT HANDLE
Remove the LOCKSTAR security handle from
the packaging and fasten it to the window
sash with the LEDs at the top. This version
can be fastened to the window sash by means
of countersink screws or additional adhesive
pads.
Only insert the batteries after installation and
pay attention to the correct polarity. When the
batteries have been inserted correctly in the
normal mode, a double beep sounds and the
LEDs blink twice in green. In the LS mode, a
triple beep sounds and the LEDs blink three
times in green.

6.2 LOCKSTAR with handle for Windows and Glazed Doors (LG)
LOCKSTAR denotes a series of products for additional protection of windows,
glazed doors and lift/sliding doors. For windows and glazed doors the
protection is provided by a combination of mechanical locking and electronic
monitoring / alarming.
Operating the mechanical lock:
Mechanical lock upwards (window sash not tilted):
• Spindle is blocked and fi xed in its current position. Electronics are
activated and the movement of the window is monitored.
• The alarm signal (acoustic and visual) is given if a break-in occurs
(prising open, breaking open or breaking the glass). The alarm,
duration approx. 3 minutes at 115 dB (A), can not be switched OFF.
Mechanical lock upwards in the tilted position:
• Two types of monitoring are activated.
• When the tilted window moves (tension and pressure), the alarm
is not triggered.
• When unlocking the handle before closing the window, the alarm is
triggered.
• When the tilted angle exceeds 45°, the alarm will be triggered.
• CAUTION: Always close the window before unlocking it.
Operating the handle and mechanical lock
Opening tilting or closing the window:
• Turn the handle to the 3, 6, 9 or 12 o’clock position. If the handle
is in the 3 or 9 o‘clock position, the mechanical lock can not be
activated.
• The alarm monitoring is activated by pushing the locking device upwards. The alarm monitoring is deactivated by pushing the locking
device downwards.
In order to prevent irreparable damage to your LOCKSTAR or your
window, the handle must not be moved when it is locked.
The handle must always be unlocked before moving it!

6. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Visible button
• Both the holiday function setting and sensitivity level setting can be
made by means of a visible button (5) on the security handle.
Alarm function
• The signalisation of the alarm and functional readiness is activated
by locking/unlocking.
• The security handle can detect the normal break-in scenarios like
prising and levering open. Heavy vibration of the glass pane and the
window sash will cause the alarm to trigger.
• The alarm sounds for approx. 3 minutes, accompanied by a red
blinking. When the alarm ceases, the security handle returns to the
normal operating mode.
• Because of the alarm detection using an acceleration sensor, the
device can occasionally give a false alarm. A knock against the glass
pane or being hit by a ball can trigger an alarm.
Sensitivity setting
• You can change the sensitivity of the alarm function. When
delivered, the security handle is set to level 4 (recommended).
1 = less sensitive to 4 very sensitive. The handle must be unlocked.
• Hold the button pressed for several seconds, until the
acknowledgement tone sounds. The number of yellow blinking
signals given by the LEDs (6) indicate the level of sensitivity.
• The next level in sequence can be set by briefl y pressing the
button. The level selected is indicated by the number of times the
LEDs blink yellow.
• Note: If you wait for too long during the setting phase (more than
60 seconds) an abort signal will sound. Any settings you may have
made will not be saved.
• Pressing the button for a longer period of time will save the
selected setting. The number of acknowledgement tones corre-
sponds to the saved sensitivity.

Holiday setting (only with handle)
• Briefl y pressing the button is suffi cient to activate or deactivate the
holiday function (5).
• When the holiday function is active, the LEDs (6) blink red every
few seconds to frighten off potential burglars in advance.
• Note: Permanent use of the holiday function will cause increased
battery power consumption. Only activate the holiday function
when necessary in order to save battery power and thus achieve
longer battery life.
“Battery discharged” warning
• Shortly before the batteries are fully discharged, the security handle
warns that the batteries must soon be replaced by emitting clicking
sounds.
• Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries! Use the included batteries
(AAA alkaline, 1.5 V).
Tilt position sensor
• The security handle recoguizes if the window is tilted or not tilted.
Temperature and air humidity sensor (only with Bluetooth)
• The values of these sensors are measured cyclically and
transmitted to the wireless plug.
Calibration (only if necessary, see FAQs)
• To carry out the calibration, press the input button (5) with a longer
push button >15 Sec.
• A turquoise light of the LEDs (6) accompanies a rising signal tone.
• The handle must be locked for calibration.

6.3 LOCKSTAR without handle
for windows, glazed doors and lift/sliding doors (LS)
The LOCKSTAR without handle is not equipped with the mechanics necessary
to operate a window or door but are merely made up of electronic components
with a cover.
Function:
• This version is limited to electronic monitoring without mechanical
security.
• The button assignments deviate in part from the version with
handle. Deviations are explained in the “operating options” section.
• When activated, the LOCKSTAR version without handle blinks once
approximately every 4 seconds.
• Note: There is no holiday function in this version!
Possible applications:
1. Lift/sliding elements:
• When installed with the LEDs (6) at the top, in addition to
monitoring for break-ins, sideways movement is also monitored.
When monitoring is activated, in addition to monitoring for breakins, sliding open will also be detected.
2. Tilt and turn windows:
• This version is also monitored when installed with the LEDs (6) at
the top.
• Break-in monitoring for tilt and turn windows!

Connect the LOCKSTAR PLUG to an outlet
socket and wait until the LED no longer lights
up green. Hold the LED button pressed until it
blinks orange.
Make sure that the LOCKSTAR security handle
is not locked. Then carry out a double click on
the LOCKSTAR with handle. The LED on the
PLUG wireless plug briefly lights up green
The connection has now been established.
LOCKSTAR without handle
Connect the PLUG wireless plug to an outlet
socket and wait until the LED no longer lights
up green. Press and hold the LED button
pressed until it blinks orange.
Then carry out a double click on the LOCKSTAR
without handle. The LED on the PLUG wireless
plug lights up green
The connection has now been established.

7. COMMISSIONING THE LOCKSTAR PLUG
Preparations
Download the “LOCKSTAR security handle” App from the Android-Play store,
the Apple App store or www.lockstar.de and install the App. Start the App and
proceed as follows:
“Registering a new wireless plug”
• Click on “register new LOCKSTAR PLUG” and follow the instructions given
on the screen. It is only necessary to register the wireless PLUG once.
• Take the wireless PLUG out and scan the QR code on the reverse side
with your Smartphone.
• If registration fails, repeat the procedure.
Several attempts may be required depending upon the device.
“Connecting the wireless plug”
If you want to connect with the wireless plug after registration, proceed as
follows:
• Start the LOCKSTAR App on your Android/iOS device and press on
“connect LOCKSTAR PLUG”. A list of all wireless plugs that have been
registered appears in the App. Name the wireless plug.
• Press the LED button on the wireless plug twice. As soon as a connection
is established, the wireless plug will be shown on your device as active. If
connection fails, repeat the procedure. Several attempts may be required
depending upon the device.
• As long as the App is connected to the wireless plug, the LED button
blinks green.
• As soon as you exit the App, the connection is broken. The LED button
stops blinking and the rules come into force.
Important note
• Do not disconnect the wireless plug from the mains supply as long as the
LED button is blinking or lit!

8. OPERATING THE LOCKSTAR PLUG
8.1 Functions per LED button
The LOCKSTAR PLUG has an LED button that lights up in three different
colours. The following operating mode settings can be switched to or activated
by use of the LED button:
LED button
Several operating modes can be selected by pressing the LED button:
• “Auto” (LED button lights up briefly in green): The wireless plug is in the
Auto mode. The rules created will be executed.
• “ON” (LED button lights up briefly in orange): The wireless plug is switched
ON. The rules created will be ignored.
• “OFF” (LED button lights up briefly in red): The wireless plug is switched
OFF. The rules created will be ignored.
• Note: As soon as the wireless plug is disconnected from the connection
with the App, it is in the “Auto” mode.
Factory settings
• Press the LED button for approx. 15 seconds, until it blinks in red. All
devices, rules and settings paired per wireless are deleted.
Important notes
• Do not disconnect the wireless plug from the mains supply as long as the
LED button is blinking!
• If the wireless plug is disconnected from the mains supply the connection
to other wireless devices can be lost. Check this by locking and unlocking
the mechanical lock. As soon as the wireless plug receives this
information, the LED button lights in green. If this is not the case, the
connection to the respective wireless device must be established once
again. Proceed as described on Page 39 (connecting the wireless plug) to
do this.

8. OPERATING THE LOCKSTAR PLUG
Button assignment
• Brief, single press of the button: changes the operating mode from AUTO
(LED lights up green for 5 seconds) to ALWAYS_ON (LED lights up orange
for 5 seconds) to ALWAYS_OFF (LED lights up red for 5 seconds) to AUTO
and so on.
• Double click (press of the button): Switches to the App connection mode
and a connection to the App can be established. The LED blinks slowly in
green as long as no connection has been established. The green blinking
becomes faster as soon as a connection with the Smartphone has been
established. If no connection is established within a minute of double
pressing the button, the LOCKSTAR PLUG will return to the AUTO mode.
• Long press of the button (> 3 seconds): Switches to the Pairing mode. The
LED blinks slowly in orange. It is now possible to pair a LOCKSTAR with
the LOCKSTAR PLUG.
• Very long press of the button (> 15 seconds): Deletes all settings like rules,
device names etc. The LED blinks quickly in red, whilst the data are being
deleted. The LOCKSTAR PLUG subsequently re-starts.

8.2 Functions per App
Manage devices
You can re-name and delete devices coupled per wireless.
Add/modify rules
You can add and modify switching rules for the wireless plug. The following
types of rule are available:
• Device rule:
When the alarm is triggered, the plus switches itself on. When the alarm is
finished, the plug switches itself off.
• Average rule (possible with 2 or more devices):
When the average temperature of handle 1 and handle 2 is greater than
25°C, switch the wireless plug OFF.
• Time rule:
Switch the wireless plug ON at 8 pm on 24.12.2017.
• Presence simulation:
Switch the wireless plug ON at least 2x and at most of 5x per hour for at
least 1 hour and at most 3 hours.
Log data
You have access to the log data that the LOCKSTAR has transmitted to the
wireless plug per Bluetooth.
Settings
• You can modify the wireless plug’s general settings.
• You can search for and install updates.

The proSecurTec GmbH will not accept liability whatsoever for damage, material damage and personal injury caused by improper use. The following are
deemed to be improper use and are excluded from the guarantee:
• Incorrect installation of the product
• Non-observance of the operating and installation manual
• Incorrect operation, use or subjecting the
product to physical stress
• External influences resulting in damage to the product, e.g. shocks,
knocks, etc.
• The use of unsuitable accessories
• Repair of modification by third parties

Bluetooth battery consumption
Die Bluetooth version consumes more energy due to the frequent interaction
with the LOCKSTAR PLUG wireless plug. The lifetime of the batteries can in
this case however also be as long as 2 years.
Bluetooth only in connection with the LOCKSTAR PLUG
In order to make use of the full range functions of the Bluetooth versions, you
must use at least one LOCKSTAR PLUG for all of the window security handles.
Bluetooth only in connection with the App
The Bluetooth security handle transmits data to the LOCKSTAR PLUG
wireless plug at regular intervals. In order to be able to process this data, you
need our “LOCKSTAR security handle” App. This can be found under: Android
Play Store, the Apple App Store or www.lockstar.de.
Bluetooth wireless connection
The wireless range of the LOCKSTAR Bluetooth is directly dependent upon the
structural characteristics (wall thickness, etc.). But even with very thick walls
and nested houses, the range is can be between 5 - 20 meters. A Bluetooth
connection between App and Plug is only required during the setting up
process.
Remote control via the App
The LOCKSTAR App does not serve as a remote control. The alarm can only be
activated by the window security handle itself.
Opening methods
The security handles are designed such that they function with windows with
DIN left and DIN right. The opening method of your window must not must not
be taken into account as is the case with other products.

Mechanical lock
For purely practical reasons, it was decided not to use the usual key locking
method. With the LOCKSTAR’S mechanical lock, your windows are perfectly
secure even without a handle lock, without having to worry about losing the
key.
Alarm signal duration
When an alarm is triggered, the alarm signal sounds for 3 minutes.
Alarm signal volume
The alarm signal sounds with a volume of approx. 115 dB (A).
Pre-assemble security handle
The LOCKSTAR is delivered pre-assembled. The handle and backplate are
connected to one another and can not be easily separated.
Resistance class RC2 and higher
The LOCKSTAR does not have RC2 certification. If necessary, we recommend
the use of an RC2 certified handle and the additional installation of a
LOCKSTAR without handle. In this way you can benefit from both types of
security technology.
No alarm in the tilted state (New calibration)
If the triggering of the alarm does not work in the tilted state of the window,
please re-calibrate the LOCKSTAR. Please refer to “Calibration” in the operating instructions.
