be observed in handling the product.

All personal formulations in these instructions are to be considered
gender neutral.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance. Do not leave the children unattended.
Thank you for purchasing the Pronomic PDI-20 passive DI-Box. To ensure you will
be completely satisfied with this product, read and understand these manual

General safety instructions and warnings
Place of storage and for usage:
Do not expose the instrument to the following conditions to avoid deformation,
discoloration or major damage:
- Direct sunlight
- Extreme temperature or humidity
- Excessively dusty or dirty place
- Strong vibrations or shocks
- In the vicinity of magnetic fields
Interference with other electrical devices, radios and TVs nearby may experience
interference cause. Operate this device in a suitable Distance to radios and
televisions.
Cleaning:
Only clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not use paint thinner, solvent, cleaning fluids or chemically impregnated wipes.
Handling:
Do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls off.
Do not put paper, metal or other objects in the device.
Then leave the device to qualified check service personnel.
Disconnect all cables before moving the instrument.
Attention:
The normal function of the product can be disturbed due to strong electromagnetic
interferences. In this case, simply reset the product, to resume normal operation by
following the instruction manual. If the function still does not continue smoothly
you can use the product on another place.

Product description
With the PDI-20, you can turn high-impedance, unsymmetrical audio signals into
symmetrical, low-impedance signals. You have the option to input from sound
sources with jacks - such as an electric guitar, electric bass or keyboard - and
transfer them to devices with a symmetrical XLR input like a mixer.
In addition to the symmetrical XLR output, the passive stereo DI Box from Pronomic
allows you to connect an amplifier over an asymmetrical output jack. Here the
asymmetrical input signal is directly passed to the asymmetrical output jack.

Signal Adjustment of the Input level
Input signals with high levels like keyboards can be lowered to between 20-40
dB with a selector switch.
Stereo/Mono operation
In the Stereo mode, both signals run separately through the device.
Switch it on Mono, both signals will be combined.
Ground-Lift-switch
With the ground lift switch, you can disconnect the ground connection of the
XLR signal, in order to avoid ground loops.
Passive DI-Box
Passive DI-Boxes need no supply voltage and do not have any preamp. With
that they have a better audio signal than their active relatives.

Never touch it with wet hands.
Switch off your appliance: after use; in the event of malfunction; before
cleaning it.
Never operate your appliance when it has fallen.
Never dismantle your appliance. An incorrectly repaired appliance can be
dangerous for the user. If you encounter any problems, contact one of the
Approved Service Centers in our customer service network.
The warranty expires in case of damage caused when the product is not
used as intended.
Never use this device near bathtubs, showers or pools.

Maintenance
Your appliance does not require any particular maintenance. However, in the event
of a malfunction, contact an Approved Service Center.
