1 GENERAL
1.1 Description
The
CI-23
The printer connection allows to obtain, on site, printing for a pre-programmed measurement sequence. This is a simple and effective way to get an installation archive for a given place or get documentation related with level measurement, for further analysis.
Several PROMAX level meters incorporate an RS-232C interface, that allows, moreover to print results, the remote control of the instrument, thus making possible data collection and control from a personal computer.

2 I N S T ALLATI O N
The printer is battery powered, thus the installation procedure is reduced only, to connect the provided cable to the level meter seri al connector. Before this operation, turn the power off of both equipments.
Consult the level meter instruction manual in order to l ocate its RS-232C connector.
3 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Refer to the INSTRUCTION MANUAL to carry out printing reports.
3.1 CI-23 set-up

To initiate the set-up mode push the
[2] SET-UP
and the
[4] ON
keys. The
[1 ] P O W E R
ON
LED will flash until set-up mode is turned off. The current parameter status will be printed. The status of the DATA BITS parameter will be printed in order to modify it if necessary.
To select the status of the resting parameters (PARITY, BAUD-RATE, COUNTRY,
PRINT MODE, AUTO-OFF, EMULATION and DTR) push the
[3] FEED
key. These parameters are selected in a sequential way. To modify the status of any parameter push sequentially the
[2 ] S E T - U P
key. Example:
SERIAL BAUD RATE: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 300...
When all the necessary changes have been made, push the
[2] SET-UP
and
[3] FEED
keys to update the configuration of the pri n ter. If no key is pressed for 15 seconds the setĀ­up mode will be terminated without changing the original parameters.

4 RS-232C CONNECTOR DESCRIPTION
Through the RS-232C connector it is possi ble to control the l evel meter with a remote controller (personal computer), connect printers, etc. The connector si gnal s are described in Table 1.
