Release.
The ProMaster Wireles s Remote is designed for most of DSLR and SLR cameras that have a remote socket on
the camera body. It allows you to easily create compelling close-ups from a safe and secure "line-of-sight"
distance of up to 30 meters (99’ feet). The receiver simply attaches to a compatible camera's accessory shoe and
connects t o the c amera's remote socket with the supplied rec eiver cable. The receiver is powered by one CR-2
lithium batt ery and the transmitter is powered by one 23A battery.

especially for your camera and is a required additional purchase in order for this remote to function.

Replacing the batteries
1. Slide the battery cov ers in the direction of the arrow to remove.
2. Insert a fresh battery. Ensure that the batteries are ins erte d in the c or r ect direction. Installing batteries in the
wrong direction could cause the batteries to leak corrosive liquids, generate heat or explode.
3. Replace the battery covers in the opposite direction of the indicator arrow.

Attaching to the camera
1. Turn the power of the camera OFF befor e attaching the receiver to camera.
2. Please make sure the transm itter and receiver are both set to the same channel. There ar e 16 channels
available.
3. Slide the receiv er gently into your cam eras hot s hoe as s hown. Rotat e the lock nut clock wise to tighten the
receiver on your camera.
4. Plug the end of the camera releas e cable (separate purc hase r equired) into t he receiv er as shown. Plug t he
other end into the cam era remote s ocket (note that the appeara nce of this end is differentdepending upon
your camera model).
Note: Ensure you do not connect the cable the wrong way. A tte mp ti ng to connect the cable in the wrong direction
may cause damage to your camera, the cable, the remote or all of t he above.

5. Turn the power to the receiver and the camera ON.

Single Exposure
1. Set the mode switch to the single exposure position. Set the camera to sing le exposure mode.
2. Press the shutter button on the transmitter half way to focus.
3. Press the shutter button completely to tr igger your camera.
Unlimited Continuous Exposures
1. Set the mode switch to the single exposure position and set the camera to continuous exposure mode.
2. Press the shutter button on the transmitter half way to focus.

3. Press the shutter button com pletely and hold unt il t he tr ansm itt er L ED lig ht goes OFF. The rec eiver will now
lock the camera shutter for continuous shooting.
4. To release the shutter lock, press the shutter button on the transmitter again, the receiver will unlock the
shutter.
Bulb function
1. Set the mode switch to the single exposure position and set the camera to the BULB mode.
2. Press the shutter button on the transmitter half way to focus.

3. Press the shutter button com pletely and hold unt il t he tr ansm itt er L ED lig ht goes OFF. The rec eiver will now
lock the camera shutter for BULB .
4. To release the shutter lock, press the shutter button on the transmitter again, the receiver will unlock the shutter.
5S Delay
1. Set the mode switch to the delayed exposure position. Set the camera to singl e exposure mode.
2. Press the shutter button on the transmitter half way to focus.
3. Press the shutter button completely. The camera will take a picture after a 5 second delay.

3 Continuous Exposures
1. Set the mode switch to the 3 continuous exposure posit ion. Set the camera to single exposure mode.
2. Press the shutter button on the transmitter half way to focus.
3. Press t he shutter but ton completely and the camera will take 3 exposures at an interval of 1s.
Additional functions
Multiple Cameras
The transmitter is designed to trigger multiple receivers at the sam e time. T his is perfect for those who own
several camer as and want to enhance their c reativity.
Use as a wired remote
The receiver may also be used as a wired shutter releas e button. Press the shutter button on the receiver half
way to focus. Press the shutter button completely to take an exposure.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some camera and lens combinations take longer to achieve focus lock. Your camera may not
trigger until focus lock has been achieved. If the remote fails to trigger your camera, it is likely that it is due to the fact
that your camera has not achieved focus lock when the trigger signal is received. Switching the remote to the 5S delay
mode will give your camera more time to focus and help the remote to trigger your camera reliably.
