A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use. Always use a NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when necessary.
Protection of hands:
Wear chemically resistant protective gloves (tested according to DIN EN 374) The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics.
Material of gloves
For not dissolved solid substances following materials may be suitable: Polychloropren rubber (CR) Nitrile rubber, NBR Butyl rubber, BR Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM) The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Penetration time of glove material
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
