Avvertenze generali

• I prodotti a cui questo manuale si riferisce sono conformi alle Direttive della Comunità Europea e pertanto
recano la sigla

• Il dispositivo funziona con pericolosa tensione di rete 230V~. Non intervenire mai al suo interno al di fuori
delle operazioni descritte nel presente manuale; esiste il pericolo di una scarica elettrica.
È obbligatorio eettuare il collegamento ad un impianto di alimentazione dotato di un’eciente messa a terra

•

(apparecchio di Classe I secondo norma EN 60598-1). Si raccomanda, inoltre, di proteggere le linee di alimen­tazione delle unità dai contatti indiretti e/o cortocircuiti verso massa tramite l’uso di interruttori dierenziali
opportunamente dimensionati.

• Le operazioni di collegamento alla rete di distribuzione dell’energia elettrica devono essere eettuate da un
installatore elettrico qualicato. Vericare che frequenza e tensione della rete corrispondono alla frequenza
ed alla tensione per cui l’unità è predisposta, indicate sulla targhetta dei dati elettrici.

• L’unità non per uso domestico solo per uso professionale.

• Evitare di utilizzare l’unità:

- in luoghi soggetti a vibrazioni, o a possibili urti;

- in luoghi a temperatura superiore ai 45°C o inferiori a 2°C.

• Evitare che nell’unità penetrino liquidi inammabili, acqua o oggetti metallici.

• Non smontare e non apportare modiche all’unità.

• Tutti gli interventi devono essere sempre e solo eettuati da personale tecnico qualicato. Rivolgersi al più

vicino centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato.

• Se si desidera eliminare il dispositivo denitivamente, consegnarlo
per lo smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.

Attenzioni e precauzioni per l’installazione

• Non guardare direttamente il fascio luminoso. Tenete presente che i veloci cambi di luce possono provo­care attacchi d’epilessia presso persone fotosensibili o epilettiche.

• Prima di iniziare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia sull’unità togliere la tensione dalla rete
di alimentazione.

• Assicurarsi che l’unità sia spenta e che la temperatura delle parti non possa provocare ustioni.

• È assolutamente necessario proteggere l’unità per mezzo di una fune di sicurezza. Nell’eseguire qualsiasi

intervento attenersi scrupolosamente a tutte le normative (in materia di sicurezza) vigenti nel paese di
utilizzo.

• La distanza minima tra il proiettore e le pareti circostanti deve essere superiore a 50 cm e non devono
essere ostruite, in nessun caso, le aperture di aerazione.

• Mantenere materiali inammabili ad una distanza di sicurezza dall’unità.

• I ltri, le lenti o gli schermi ultravioletti se danneggiati possono limitare la loro ecienza.

• I LED devono essere sostituiti se danneggiati o termicamente deformati.

• Non collegare il proiettore a un dimmer pack.

Spedizioni e reclami

Le merci sono vendute “franco nostra sede” e viaggiano sempre a rischio e pericolo del distributore/cliente.
Eventuali avarie e danni dovranno essere contestati al vettore. Ogni reclamo per imballi manomessi dovrà
essere inoltrato entro 8 giorni dal ricevimento della merce.

1.2 DESCRIZIONE

Prolights CROMOWASH300 è un proiettore LedWasher a testa mobile munito della nuova tecnologia ottica
fast-zoom ad ampio range di regolazione. La sorgente luminosa si compone di 91 LEDs da 3W con sintesi
colore RGBWA, rendendo CROMOWASH300 uno tra i proiettori più potenti e performanti della sua catego­ria.
La miscelazione colore RGBWA garantisce una perfetta riproduzione dell’intero range cromatico ed un ac­curato CTC per un passaggio lineare dai colori freddi alle tonalità più calde.
Il nuovo sistema ottico fast-zoom permette un rapido e lineare passaggio da un fascio beam parallelo di 8°
ad una proiezione ood di 40°, mantenendo uniforme la resa cromatica per l’intero range.
CROMOWASH300 è un proiettore dalle dimensioni compatte e sorprendentemente leggero (solo 11Kg),
silenzioso, preciso e rapido nei movimenti.
Un prolo tecnico di elevata caratura, che rende CROMOWASH300 uno strumento versatile per la realizza­zione di progetti luci in eventi Live, Touring e TV studios.

1.3 SPECIFICHE TECNICHE

Sorgente luminosa e ottica:

• 91 x 3W LED CREE RGBWA ad alta resa luminosa (22 rossi, 23 verdi, 22 blu, 12 bianchi, 12 ambra).

• Lumens: >4500 lm.

• Lux @2m: 33’000.

• Sistema di sintesi colore: miscelazione RGBWA (>16 milioni di colori) per possibilità cromatiche illimitate

e controllo della temperatura colore.

• Preset temperatura colore bianco: 3200K~10000K.

• Angolo di proiezione: Zoom 8°-40°.

• Zoom elettronico lineare con sistema motorizzato di scorrimento pannello lenti.

• Vita media sorgente LED: >50’000 h.

Dimmer / shutter / strobo

• Dimmer lineare 0-100%.

• Regolazione curva dimmer: 4 congurazioni selezionabili.

• Shutter indipendente ed eetti di dissolvenza a velocità variabile.

- 2 - INSTALLAZIONE

2.1 MONTAGGIO

Il CROMOWASH300 può essere collocato su un piano solido. Inoltre, grazie ai fori di ssaggio, l’unità può
essere montata anche a testa in giù, su una traversa (g.3). Per il ssaggio occorrono dei supporti robusti
per il montaggio.
Come si vede nell’illustrazione, i perni del sistema di aggancio rapido, dei supporti omega, sono da inserire
nelle apposite sedi della piastra dove vengono bloccati con una rotazione in senso orario (no all’arresto).
L’area di collocazione deve avere una stabilità suciente e supportare almeno 10 volte il peso dell’unità.
Inoltre assicurarsi di rispettare tutte le avvertenze in materia di sicurezza.
È assolutamente necessario assicurare il proiettore contro la caduta utilizzando un cavo di sicurezza: in par­ticolare collegare il cavo in un punto adatto in modo che la caduta del proiettore non possa superare i 20
cm.

- 3 - FUNZIONI E IMPOSTAZIONI

3.1 FUNZIONAMENTO

Inserire la spina del cavo di alimentazione in una presa di rete (100-240V~/50-60Hz) e accendere il
CROMOWASH300 con l’interruttore ON/OFF(8). La testa mobile e tutti i motori di comando si mettono in
una precisa posizione di partenza “reset”. Poco dopo l’unità è pronta. Dopo l’uso spegnere l’unità attraverso
il medesimo l’interruttore.

3.2 IMPOSTAZIONE BASE

Il proiettore CROMOWASH300 dispone di un display LCD e di 4 pulsanti per l’accesso alle funzioni del pan­nello di controllo e la loro gestione (g.4).

3.4 FUNZIONAMENTO IN MODALITÀ STAND-ALONE

Se alla presa DMX non è presente alcun segnale di comando DMX, l’unità può svolgere il suo programma
Show autonomamente. Per entrare nella modalità Stand-alone procedere nel seguente modo:

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Run] e confermare la scelta premendo il
tasto ENTER.

• Selezionare la modalità di funzionamento desiderata fra [Auto1], [Auto2], [Custom] o [Test], e premere il tasto
ENTER. L’unità entrerà nella modalità scelta mandando in esecuzione il programma desiderato.

NOTA. Nella modalità stand-alone il CROMOWASH300 è impostato come unità principale (Master).

3.5 MODALITÀ MASTER/SLAVE

Questa modalità consente di collegare in linea più unità CROMOWASH300 senza un controller. La prima
unità sarà impostata come master e le altre funzioneranno come slave con lo stesso eetto.

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Run] e confermare la scelta premendo il
tasto ENTER.

• Per impostare il CROMOWASH300 come unità secondaria (slave), selezionare [Slave].

• Sull’unità master selezionare il programma desiderato come indicato nel paragrafo 3.4.

• Servirsi dei connettori DMX del CROMOWASH300 e di un cavo XLR per formare una catena di unità. In

certe condizioni e lunghezze si consiglia di eettuare una terminazione come mostrato a pagina 15.

3.6 COLLEGAMENTO

Si possono collegare più unità anché tutte le unità secondarie abbiano lo stesso eetto luce dell’unità
principale (Master).

1. Collegare l’uscita DMX OUT dell’unità principale con l’ingresso DMX IN della prima unità secondaria ser­vendosi di un cavo XLR a 3 o 5 poli.

2. Collegare l’uscita DMX OUT della prima unità secondaria con l’ingresso DMX IN della seconda unità se­condaria ecc.

3.7 CONFIGURAZIONE CANALI DMX

Il CROMOWASH300 dispone di 2 congurazioni dei canali DMX a cui si può accedere dal pannello di controllo.

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Channels] e confermare la scelta premendo
il tasto ENTER.

• Selezionare la congurazione DMX desiderata tra [Basic] e [Advanced].

Le tabelle a pagina 16 indicano le modalità di funzionamento e i relativi valori DMX. Come interfaccia DMX,
l’unità possiede dei contatti XLR a 3 e 5 poli.

3.8 MODALITÀ DMX

• Per poter entrare nella modalità DMX, premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare
[Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Run] e confermare la scelta premendo il
tasto ENTER.

• Selezionare la modalità [DMX512].

3.9 COLLEGAMENTI DELLA LINEA DMX

La connessione DMX è realizzata con connettori standard XLR. Utilizzare cavi schermati, 2 poli ritorti, con
impedenza 120Ω e bassa capacità.
Per il collegamento fare riferimento allo schema di connessione riportato di seguito:

ATTENZIONE

La parte schermata del cavo (calza) non deve mai essere collegata alla terra dell’impianto; ciò comportereb­be malfunzionamenti delle unità e dei controller.
Per passaggi lunghi può essere necessario l’inserimento di un amplicatore DMX.
In tal caso, è sconsigliato utilizzare nei collegamenti cavo bilanciato microfonico poiché non è in grado di
trasmettere in modo adabile i dati di controllo DMX.

• Collegare l’uscita DMX del controller con l’ingresso DMX della prima unità;

• Collegare, quindi, l’uscita DMX con l’ingresso DMX della successiva unità; l’uscita di quest’ultima con

l’ingresso di quella successiva e via dicendo nchè tutte le unità sono collegate formando una catena.

• Per installazioni in cui il cavo di segnale deve percorrere lunghe distanze è consigliato inserire sull’ultima
unità una terminazione DMX.

3.10 COSTRUZIONE DEL TERMINATORE DMX

La terminazione evita la probabilità che il segnale DMX 512, una volta raggiunta la ne della linea stessa
venga riesso indietro lungo il cavo, provocando, in certe condizioni e lunghezze, la sua sovrapposizione al
segnale originale e la sua cancellazione.
La terminazione deve essere eettuata, sull’ultima unità della catena, con connettori XLR a 5 pin o 3 pin,
saldando una resistenza di 120Ω (minimo 1/4W) tra i terminali 2 e 3, così come indicato in gura.

3.11 IMPOSTAZIONE DELL’INDIRIZZO DI START

Per poter comandare il CROMOWASH300 con un’unità di comando luce, occorre impostare l’indirizzo di
start DMX per il primo canale DMX. Se, per esempio, sull’unità di comando è previsto l’indirizzo 33 per co­mandare la funzione del primo canale DMX, si deve impostare sul CROMOWASH300 l’indirizzo di start 33. Le
altre funzioni del pannello saranno assegnate automaticamente agli indirizzi successivi. Segue un esempio
con indirizzo 33 di start:

3.13 PROGRAMMAZIONE PERSONALIZZATA

Il CROMOWASH300 consente di eettuare una programmazione personalizzata modicando il valore di
ciascuna funzione.

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Edit], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare il parametro che si desidera modicare fra [Step], [Pan], [Tilt],
[Speed], [Red], [Green], [Blue], [White], [Dimmer], [Strobe], [Zoom], [Dim speed] e [Time] e premere il tasto ENTER.

• Scegliere il valore desiderato per il parametro servendosi dei tasti UP e DOWN e confermare l’imposta­zione premendo il tasto ENTER.

Il CROMOWASH300 eseguirà tutti gli “step” nella modalità [Custom] (vedi paragrafo 3.4 Funzionamento in
modalità Stand-alone) e poi si fermerà. Qualora si voglia eettuare un ciclo continuo è necessario aggiun­gere un ultimo passo (step), la cui durata deve essere pari a 0 secondi.

• Quando la modalità di velocità è impostata su [Auto] il dispositivo automaticamente regolerà la velocità

delle ventole e la potenza dell’unità anché la temperatura non superi il limite.

Impostazioni Display

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Display] e confermare la scelta premendo il
tasto ENTER. In questo modo è possibile scegliere il tempo retroilluminazione del display LCD.

• Selezionare [60close] per impostare lo spegnimento della retroilluminazione display LCD dopo 60 secon-
di, oppure selezionare [Bright] anché la retroilluminazione risulti sempre attiva.

Funzione Keylock

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Premere i tasti UP e DOWN per selezionare nel menu la voce [Keylock] e confermare la scelta premendo
il tasto ENTER.

• Selezionare [Yes] oppure [No] a seconda che si voglia, rispettivamente, attivare o disattivare la password di
accesso. Quando l’unità è impostata su ON, dopo 30 secondi o al prossimo riavvio, è necessario immet­tere la password per l’accesso al menu di controllo.

NOTA. Le impostazioni di fabbrica relative alla password di accesso corrispondono alla combinazione dei
tasti UP + DOWN + UP + DOWN. Premere ENTER per confermare.

Funzione Dimmer

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

• Selezionando la funzione [Dimmer] è possibile entrare nella modalità dimmer. In particolare, quando è im-
postato su [O ], l’RGBW e il MASTER DIMMER sono lineari. Dimmer1/2/3/4 rappresentano invece diversi
valori di velocità nella modalità non lineare; [Dimmer1] è il valore più veloce mentre [Dimmer4] il più lento.

NOTA. Le impostazioni di fabbrica sono su [Dimmer4].

Funzione Info

• Premere il tasto MENU no a quando sul display non appare [Intro], quindi premere il tasto ENTER per
confermare la scelta.

- 4 - MANUTENZIONE

4.1 PULIZIA SISTEMA OTTICO E MANUTENZIONE

• Durante gli interventi, assicurarsi che l’area sotto il luogo di installazione sia libera da personale non qualicato.

• Spegnere l’unità, scollegare il cavo di alimentazione ed aspettare nché l’unità non si sia rareddata.

• Tutte le viti utilizzate per l’installazione dell’unità e le sue parti dovrebbero essere assicurate saldamente

e non dovrebbero essere corrose.

• Alloggiamenti, elementi di ssaggio e di installazione (sotto, truss, sospensioni) dovrebbero essere
totalmente esenti da qualsiasi deformazione.

• Quando una lente ottica è visibilmente danneggiata a causa di rotture o gra profondi, deve essere sostituita.

• I cavi di alimentazione devono essere in condizione impeccabile e dovrebbero essere sostituiti immedia-

tamente nel momento in cui anche un piccolo problema viene rilevato.

• Al ne di proteggere l’unità da surriscaldamento, le ventole di rareddamento (e nel caso) le aperture di
ventilazione, devono essere pulite mensilmente.

Per mantenere funzionalità e rendimento ottimali per lungo tempo è indispensabile eettuare una puli­zia periodica delle parti soggette all’accumulo di polveri e grassi. La frequenza con la quale eettuare le
operazioni sotto indicate dipende da diversi fattori, quali la quantità di movimenti degli eetti e la qualità
dell’ambiente di lavoro (umidità dell’aria, presenza di polvere, salsedine, ecc.). Per rimuovere lo sporco dal
riettore, dalle lenti e dai ltri usare un panno morbido inumidito di un qualsiasi liquido detergente per la
pulizia del vetro.
Annualmente si consiglia di sottoporre il proiettore a personale tecnico qualicato per una manutenzione
straordinaria consistente almeno nelle seguenti operazioni:

- Pulizia generale delle parti interne.

- Ripristino della lubricazione di tutte le parti soggette ad attrito tramite l’utilizzo di lubricanti ap­propriati.

- Controllo visivo generale di componenti interni, cablaggio, parti meccaniche, ecc.

- Controlli elettrici, fotometrici e funzionali; eventuali riparazioni.

Attenzione: consigliamo che la pulizia interna sia eseguita da personale qualicato!

4.2 SOSTITUZIONE FUSIBILE

1. Assicurarsi di scollegare il cavo di alimentazione del proiettore
prima di sostituire un fusibile bruciato con uno dello stesso tipo
e valore.

2. Con un cacciavite, rimuovere il portafusibile dalla sua sede e il
fusibile bruciato dal suo supporto; sostituire il fusibile con uno
identico per tipologia e valore.

3. Inserire il portafusibile al suo posto e ricollegare l’alimentazione.

SAFETY

General instructions

• The products referred to in this manual conform to the European Community Directives and are therefore
marked with .

• The unit is supplied with hazardous network voltage (230V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel only. Never
make any modications on the unit not described in this instruction manual, otherwise you will risk an electric
shock.

• Connection must be made to a power supply system tted with ecient earthing (Class I appliance according
to standard EN 60598-1). It is, moreover, recommended to protect the supply lines of the units from indirect
contact and/or shorting to earth by using appropriately sized residual current devices.

• The connection to the main network of electric distribution must be carried out by a qualied electrical in­staller. Check that the main frequency and voltage correspond to those for which the unit is designed as given
on the electrical data label.

• This unit is not for home use, only professional applications.

• Never use the xture under the following conditions:

- in places subject to vibrations or bumps;

- in places with a temperature of over 45°C or less than 2°C.

• Make certain that no inammable liquids, water or metal objects enter the xture.

• Do not dismantle or modify the xture.

• All work must always be carried out by qualied technical personnel. Contact the nearest sales point for an

inspection or contact the manufacturer directly.

• If the unit is to be put out of operation denitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment.

Warnings and installation precautions

• Never look directly at the light beam. Please note that fast changes in lighting, e. g. ashing light, may
trigger epileptic seizures in photosensitive persons or persons with epilepsy.

• Before starting any maintenance work or cleaning the projector, cut o power from the main supply.

• Make certain that the xture is o and the temperature of the components cannot cause burns.

• Always additionally secure the projector with the safety rope. When carrying out any work, always com-

ply scrupulously with all the regulations (particularly regarding safety) currently in force in the country
in which the xture’s being used.

• The minimum distance between the xture and surrounding walls must be more than 50 cm and the air
vents at the housing must not be covered in any case.

• Keep any inammable material at a safe distance from the xture.

• Shields, lenses or ultraviolet screens shall be changed if they have become damaged to such an extent

that their eectiveness is impaired.

• The lamp (LED) shall be changed if it has become damaged or thermally deformed.

• Don’t connect the device to a dimmer pack

Shipments and claims

The goods are sold “ex works” and always travel at the risk and danger of the distributor. Eventual damage
will have to be claimed to the freight forwarder. Any claim for broken packs will have to be forwarded within

1.2 DESCRIPTION

Prolights CROMOWASH300 is a moving LedWasher equipped with the brand-new “fast-zoom” technology,
providing an impressive zoom range. The LED section is equipped with 91 high eciency 3W LEDs with
RGBWA colour synthesis, giving it unequalled performance for a xture in its class.
The full spectrum RGBWA colour mixing allows perfect chromatic performance combining with a variable
CTC for a linear transition from cold to warm shades.
The new “fast-zoom” optics provide a fast and linear passage from 8° tight beam to 40° ood projection,
maintaining an outstanding colour mixing throughout the entire zooming range.
Its compact dimensions and lightweight prole (only 11Kg) allow CROMOWASH300 to have very silent,
precise and rapid movements.
The high-end technical prole of this multi-purpose xture make it a reliable tool for production of profes­sional lighting design in various environments as Live, Touring and Tv studios.

- 2 - INSTALLATION

2.1 MOUNTING

The CROMOWASH300 may be set up on a solid and even surface. By means of the xing facilities of the base
plate, the unit can also be mounted upside down to a cross arm. The base plate is shown in g.3.
For xing, stable mounting clips are required. According to the gure, the bolts of the brackets are placed
into the openings provided in the base plate and turned clockwise until they lock (to the stop). The mount­ing place must be of sucient stability and be able to support a weight of 10 times of the unit’s weight.
Always additionally secure the projector with the safety rope from falling down. For this purpose, fasten the
safety rope at a suitable position so that the maximum fall of the projector will be 20 cm.

3.1 OPERATION

Connect the supplied main cable to a socket (100-240V~/50-60Hz). Switch on the unit with the power
switch (8) . Shortly after that the CROMOWASH300 is ready for operation.
After operation, switch o the unit with the power switch.

3.4 OPERATION IN STAND-ALONE MODE

If no DMX control signal is present at the jack DMX INPUT (3), and the unit independently runs through its
show programme.

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Run] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button.

• Select a stand-alone operation mode: [Auto1], [Auto2], [Custom] or [Test], and press ENTER button.

NOTE. When the xture is on Stand-Alone mode, it will be automatic set as master xture.

3.5 MASTER/SLAVE MODE

This mode will allow you to link up the units together without a controller. Choose a unit to function as the
Master. The unit must be the rst unit in line; other units will work as slave with the same eect.

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Run] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button.

• Select [Slave] to congure the slave xtures.

• Select the desired operation mode (see section 3.4).

• Use standard DMX cables to daisy chain your units together via the DMX connector on the rear of the

units. For longer cable runs we suggest a terminator at the last xture (see page 13).

3.6 LINKING

Several units may be interconnected in order to control all further slave units to the same eect of the
master unit.

1. Connect the DMX OUT of the master unit via 3 or 5-pole XLR cable to the DMX IN of the rst slave unit.

2. Connect the DMX OUT of the rst slave unit to the DMX IN of the second slave unit, etc. until all units are
connected in a chain.

CROMOWASH300 is equipped with 2 DMX conguration.

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Channels] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button.

• Select a DMX conguration: [Basic] or [Adavnced], and press ENTER button.

The tables on page 14 indicate the operating mode and DMX value. The CROMOWASH300 is equipped with
3 and 5-pole XLR connections.

ENTER button to conrm the choice.

3.9 CONNECTION OF THE DMX LINE

DMX connection employs standard XLR connectors. Use shielded pair-twisted cables with 120Ω impedance
and low capacity.

ATTENTION

The screened parts of the cable (sleeve) must never be connected to the system’s earth, as this would cause
faulty xture and controller operation.
Over long runs can be necessary to insert a DMX level matching amplier.
For those connections the use of balanced microphone cable is not recommended because it cannot trans­mit control DMX data reliably.

• Connect the controller DMX input to the DMX output of the rst unit.

• Connect the DMX output to the DMX input of the following unit. Connect again the output to the input

of the following unit until all the units are connected in chain.

• When the signal cable has to run longer distance is recommended to insert a DMX termination on the
last unit.

3.10 CONSTRUCTION OF THE DMX TERMINATION

The termination avoids the risk of DMX 512 signals being reected back along the cable when they reaches
the end of the line: under certain conditions and with certain cable lengths, this could cause them to cancel
the original signals. The termination has to be prepared by soldering a 120Ω 1/4 W resistor on the last ele­ment of the DMX chain, between pins 2 and 3 of the 5 pin or 3 pin male XLR connector, as shown in gure.

3.11 ADJUSTING THE START ADDRESS

To able to operate the CROMOWASH300 with a light controller, adjust the DMX start address for the rst a
DMX channel. If e. g. address 33 on the controller is provided for controlling the function of the rst DMX
channel, adjust the start address 33 on the CROMOWASH300. The other functions of the light eect panel
are then automatically assigned to the following addresses.
An example with the start address 33 is shown below:

3.13 EDIT CUSTOM

• Press the MENU button, select the [Edit] menu voice and press the ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Edit the custom programs by adjusting the value of [Step], [Pan], [Tilt], [Speed], [Red], [Green], [Blue], [White],

[Dimmer], [Strobe], [Zoom], [Dim speed] and [Time].

• Press the ENTER button to conrm.

• Enter [Use] and select [Yes] to run the steps user need.

CROMOWASH300 will execute all the steps in the custom program and it will stop. To make the xture to
start over add a last step whose duration is 0 second.

Fan setting

• Select the desired setting (High - Normal - Low - Auto). When fan setting is on AUTO mode, the xture will

automatic adjust the fan speed and xture power, ensure the xture temperature is not exceed the limit.
When fan setting is on other modes, the fan will run according to the set speed.

Display setting

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Display] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button.

• Select a display mode [60close] or [Bright].
When in the [60close] setting, the display backlight will turn o after 60 seconds.
When in the [Bright] setting, the display backlight will stay on.

Keylock function

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Keylock] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button.

• Select [On] or [Close].
When the xture is set as pass [On] after few seconds or turn on the xture next time, the xture will need
an access password to enter the display menu control.

NOTE. The factory access password is UP + DOWN + UP + DOWN. Press ENTER to conrm the access.

Dimmer

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Enter [Dimmer] to select dimmer mode and dimmer speed. When dimmer is set to [OFF], the RGBW and
MASTER DIMMER are linear. The Dimmer1/2/3/4 are speed modes of the non linear dimmer, [Dimmer1] is
the faster, while [Dimmer4] is the slowest.

NOTE. The factory default setting is [Dim4].

Fixture information

• Press the MENU button and select, via the directional buttons, the [Intro] menu choice, then press the
ENTER button to conrm the choice.

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select [Info] menu voice and conrm the choice by pressing the
ENTER button. The display will show the installed software version.

Calibrat

• Enter mode [Calib], to set the white balance custom white temperatures

• Select one of 12 pre-programmed setting white.

• The setting can be changed by acting on the value (000-255) relating to the red, green, blue and amber

(Red - Green - Blue - Amber), through the UP e DOWN.

- 4 - MAINTENANCE

4.1 CLEANING THE UNIT AND MAINTENANCE

• Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during setup.

• Switch o the unit, unplug the main cable and wait until the unit has cooled down.

• All screws used for installing the device and any of its parts should be tightly fastened and should not

be corroded.

• Housings, xations and installation spots (ceiling, trusses, suspensions) should be totally free from any
deformation.

• When the lens is visibly damaged due to cracks or deep scratches, it must be replaced.

• The main cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately even when a

small problem is detected.

• In order to protect the device from overheating the cooling fans (if any), and ventilation openings should
be cleaned monthly.

To ensure optimal operation and performance for a long time it is essential to periodically clean the parts
subject to dust and grease deposits. The frequency with which the following operations are to be carried
out depends on various factors, such as the amount of the eects and the quality of the working environ­ment (air humidity, presence of dust, salinity, etc.). Use a soft cloth dampened with any detergent liquid for
cleaning glass to remove the dirt from the reectors, from the lenses and lters.
It is recommended that the projector undergoes an annual service by a qualied technician for special
maintenance involving at least the following operations:

- General cleaning of internal parts..

- Restoring lubrication of all parts subject to friction, using lubricants specically.

- General visual check of the internal components, cabling, mechanical parts, etc.

- Electrical, photometric and functional checks; eventual repairs.

Warning: we strongly recommend internal cleaning to be carried out by qualied personnel!

4.2 FUSE REPLACEMENT

1. Disconnect the main plug from the socket.

2. With a at head screwdriver, wedge the fuse holder out of its
housing and remove the blown fuse from its holder.

3. Replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the exact same type and
rating.

4. Insert the fuse holder back in its place, and reconnect power.
