Important notice.

AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make sure that the
voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the power supply.
The power supply is used to disconnect the unit from the mains. Make sure that the power supply is easily
accessible at all times. Never handle the device, the power supply while your hands are wet or damp.
Avoid letting liquids enter the device or the power supply. Never place any item containing liquid,
such as a flower vase on or near the device. Never spill any liquid on the device or the power supply.
Never place any naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the device. The product shall not
be used in damp or wet locations, next to a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar conditions.

Make all connections whilst the Speed Box is disconnected from the power supply.
Never use any other power supply than the one supplied with the unit.

Speed Box DS is suitable for turntables which are running with a 16V/AC(190mA) power supply or a
direct connection to 230V/AC(13mA). The Speed Box DS is not designed to run with capacitive
loads. It is not possible to use both ~16volt and ~230volt outputs at the same time.
* Compatibility: Speed Box DS may not be used with Pro-Ject turntables with a built-in electronic
speed change, a DC power supply, an automatic switch-off, an integrated Phono preamp (with or
without USB), for instance Phono- and Phono/USB models, Debut Carbon (DC), Debut Carbon Esprit
(DC), Debut Carbon Esprit SB (DC), Debut III E, Juke Box, Elemental, RPM 6.1 SB, 1Xpression III
Comfort, 2Xperience Comfort, Xtension9, Xtension10, Xtension12, Signature10, Signature12

thank you for purchasing a Pro-Ject Audio Systems Speed Box DS. * The unit permits electronic speed change
of your Pro-Ject record player between 33 and 45 r.p.m. and also permits the replay of shellac records by
allowing ** 78 r.p.m. with an appropriate pulley and cartridge.
The replay speed can be increased and decreased in twenty steps of 0,1 r.p.m.

In order to achieve maximum performance and reliability you should study these instructions for use carefully.

Connecting the record player

Connect the power cable supplied *** (polarity

Turntables without an external AC power supply should be connected to the Output socket (50Hz models to
