Safety instructions
AC outlet voltages vary from country to country. Before connecting to the mains, make sure that the
voltage in your area meets the voltage requirements printed on the power supply.
The power cord/power supply is used to disconnect the unit from the mains. Make sure that the
power cord/power supply is easily accessible at all times.

Make all connections whilst the amplifier is disconnected from the power supply.

Connecting amplifier and docking station
Connect, using the supplied interconnect cable, the sockets IN1 on the amplifier to the sockets OUT on the
Dock Box S Fi.
Inputs
Line level sources such as CD player radio or TV can be connected to the input sockets marked IN1 or IN2.
Take care to connect the left and right channels correctly. The right channel is usually marked red,
The output terminals accept loudspeaker cables terminated with 4mm Banana plugs, spades connectors
or naked wire.
Connect the cable terminals on the amplifier to the terminals on the speakers.
The red speaker terminals carry the positive signal (+), the black speaker terminals the negative
signal (–). Make sure the polarity of the connection is correct at each end of the cables.

Only connect one loudspeaker with an impedance not less than 4 ohms per channel.
Record output, connecting a headphone amplifier - Stereo Box S
Record Out connects an analogue record device ore a Pro-Ject Head Box headphone amplifier.
Record Out provides a fixed output level.

Make all connections whilst the Dock Box is disconnected from the power supply.
Connecting to a computer, iPod® operating system
Connect the USB-output of the Dock Box to a free USB-socket on your computer and switch it on.
When the Dock Box is connected to a computer, all functions of the Dock Box are blocked.
Connection to a TV-set or a beamer
Connect the S-VIDEO socket to a s-video input of your TV-set or beamer.
„All digital“ units do not support the s-video output.
Fitting and adjustment of the iPod® cradle
Use the knurled screw supplied to fix the cradle to the Dock Box chassis. Do not fully tighten the screw yet.
Now place your iPod

Front panel controls - Stereo Box S

To switch on from standby or to standby - Stereo Box S
The push button (press and hold to switch into standby mode) on the left hand side of the front panel turns the
unit on or back into standby. The blue LED above the stand-by push button shows that the unit is switched on.
Input selector - Stereo Box S
After the unit is powered on, pressing the push button on the right, selects the In 1 and In 2 inputs in turn.
The optional input expander Pro-Ject Switch Box S provides three more inputs. For further details please see the
user guide of the Pro-Ject Switch Box S.
Volume - Stereo Box S
Adjust the volume to the desired level, using the large knob on the front panel.
To switch on and off, charging the battery - Dock Box S Fi
The Dock Box is turned on and off with the supplied user remote. A blue LED on the front panel shows that the
unit is switched on.
When the Dock Box is connected to the mains supply it will charge the docked iPod
Unlock and slide open the battery case cover
Replace the battery.
Make sure the battery is the right way round !
Close the battery case cover
