3. RANGES OF APPLICATION
These pumps are made for pumping clear water (free of mud and sand, see technical data and point 6)
The pumps are made for the following ranges of application:
l Filling and emptying rain tanks and containers l For water re-circulation l For rainwater use in house and garden l Pumping water from a brook a stream l Use in a pond l Others

IMPORTANT!
The pumps are designed for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive liquids. Any guarantee is void in case of improper use. They are not suitable for pumping ammable liquids or for use in places where there is danger of an explosion. The pumps are designed for home use in the house and garden. The pumps are not designed for continuous operation or for professional work. Never run more than 5 minutes against a closed valve pump. Save the pump against dry running (install dry run protection).
Never start and stop the pump more than 20 times per hour. When the pump clocks, any claim under warranty is void. Not suitable for use with solar photovoltaic panels. Submersible pumps may not be used in swimming pools.
4. OPERATION
The installation must be performed by a qualied professional.
Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not
damaged. Check before the installation whether the electrical connections are earthed according to the statutory regulations and are installed. The pump is to be secured through a RCD circuit breaker with release current of 30 mA. Also, it is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain whether this modication is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufciently cooled during prolonged operation.
It is not recommended to perform even cable extensions or other technical modica-
tions. A transfer of mechanical loads or vibrations from the pump or must be eliminated through appropriate measures (rubber buffers, braided hoses, line xation, etc.).
All cables to and from the pump must be sealed. Check valve and water pipes for leaks
at least by means of pressure testing for 24h.
5. INSTALLATION (Please also refer to page 12)
Attach a sufciently long and strong rope to the handle before rst use. The pump is submerged into the liquid on this holding rope and can also be carried with it as well as with the handle.
Note: In the case of continuous use of the pump with the rope, the condition of the rope
must be checked regularly as it can decay and break over time.
l Connect pressure pipe.
For occasional use, use a suitable water hose. The use of rigid pipes with a non-return valve is recommended for use at a xed location. This prevents return ow of the liquid when switching off.
l Screw pressure line onto the pressure connection. All threaded connections must be sealed
with thread sealing tape (e. g. Teon® tape).
l When using a hose, screw a suitable hose adapter onto the pressure connection. – Push the
hose rmly onto the hose adapter and secure with a hose clamp.
6. SECURITY TIPS
l Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security l Never run pump dry l Pumping inammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited l Pay attention to the medium temperature max. 35°C l Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose l Avoid cross section narrowing l Pay attention to the given particle size
l The grain size mentioned does not refer to sand or stones but rather to soft, exible
particles such as uff and similar which the rotor cannot wedge inside the pump.
l During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it
at room temperature
l Test wells for enough owing water (dry run danger) l The pump is to be secured through a RCD circuit breaker with a release current of 30 mA. l The electrical connections are always to be carried out by an authorised professional. l The pump may be used by children aged 8 years and above as well as persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or those who lack skills, experience and knowledge only if they are supervised. These aforementioned persons should only use the appliance while adhering to safe instructions and resulting dangers.
l Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. l The pump must not be used or operated under any circumstances when there are
people in the same water.
l Under certain cirumstances, it is possible that that contamination of water is caused
by leakage.
THE MANUFACTURER EXPLAINS:
l To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of careless-
ness or disregard to the instructions in this book.
l To reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the pump.
