WARNING: When handling fuel, always observe fuel
handling precautions and be prepared in the event of fuel
spillage. Spilled fuel may be ignited by hot vehicle components
or other ignition sources. Failure to follow these instructions may
result in serious personal injury.
1. Remove the Schrader valve cap.

NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the degas bottle
cap to install the special tool onto the Schrader valve. If the
degas bottle cap is removed, cap off the degas bottle to
prevent foreign material from entering the degas bottle.
2. Install the special tool onto the Schrader valve.

3. Turn the ignition key ON without starting the engine.
4. Wait 30 seconds for the fuel conditioning module to run.
5. Turn the ignition key OFF.
6. Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 six times before starting the engine.
7. Turn the ignition key ON and make sure fuel system pressure is within the specified range. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS INDEX .
8. Turn the ignition key OFF.
NOTE: Open the drain valve slowly to relieve the fuel
system pressure. This may drain fuel from the system. Place
the fuel in a suitable container.
9. Once the fuel system pressure test is complete, open the drain valve on the special tool and relieve the fuel system pressure.

10. Install the Schrader valve cap.
