TO AVOID RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE PLEASE FULLY READ THIS USER MANUAL BEFORE USE
DO NOT under any circumstances:
Leave the blender unattended when in use. Touch any moving parts. Attempt to remove or replace the jug from the motor base during operation. Place your hands or any utensils in the jug at any time while the blender is switched on. Operate the blender when the jug is empty. Operate the blender without the jug lid in place. Use any attachments with this blender. Fill the jug more than 2/3 full when blending. Fill the jug above the 1 litre mark when blending hot liquids (always remove the lid insert to allow
steam to escape and start the motor on low speed or automatic mode).
Use outdoors. This blender is for indoor use only. Place the blender base or power supply lead in water or in any other liquid. Let the power supply lead hang over the edge of the work surface. Operate the blender with a damaged power lead or plug, or after the blender malfunctions, is
dropped or damaged in any manner.
ALWAYS ensure the:
Blender is switched off and unplugged when not in use or prior to cleaning and assembling. Jug is always handled with extreme care as the blade unit is extremely sharp. Blender is on a flat, level, stable and dry work surface prior to operation. Blade unit is regularly inspected and securely fitted to the jug. Jug is properly seated on the blender and aligned into the drive socket with the jug lid securely
fitted before switching the blender ON.
Blade has stopped turning and the jug has been removed from the blender before removing
the lid.
Blender is only operated by a competent trained person.
NOTE: To stop the blender whilst it is in operation, press any button or use the “off” switch.
GETTING STARTED / OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the blender from the packaging and place it on a flat, level, stable and dry work
surface.
2. Insert the power plug into an electrical outlet.
3. Empty the ingredients into the jug and place it on the blender, ensuring it is properly seated and
aligned into the drive socket with the lid securely fitted.
4. For Manual Operation: Selecting the HIGH, MED or LOW options will start the blender, blending
continuously at the predetermined speed. Selecting the PULSE option will start the blender on HIGH speed only, for as long as the button is held down.
ON/OFF MAIN
POWER SWITCH
5. For Automatic Operation: Selecting the 20”, 35” or 45” options will start the automatic blending
cycle and will stop once complete. Automatic blending cycles will blend at various speeds for the selected period of time and a long beep signals the end of the cycle.
6. A red LED indicator light identifies the selected button.
7. If the drink/mixture has not blended completely, either press PULSE for extra blending time or
choose a longer automatic cycle. A little more liquid may also need to be added.
8. Over-processing will cause the contents in the jug to warm up and possibly overheat.
9. When blending frozen products, these should ideally be no lower than -18°c.
10. Always add some liquid to blend ice cubes.
11. When blending hot liquids do not fill the jug above the 1 litre mark and always remove the lid
insert to allow steam to escape, starting the motor on low speed or automatic mode.
12. Always wipe any liquid off the rubber mat before operating the blender. This is because it could
be pulled into the motor causing damage and voiding the warranty.
13. When blending large and/or frozen products, it is suggested you place your hand on top of the
blender jug lid to steady the blender during the initial part of the blending cycle, whilst the blade primarily cuts through the product.
CARE AND CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY BEFORE CLEANING CAUTION: THE BLADES ARE SHARP SO HANDLE THEM WITH CARE
To clean after use place a little warm water with a small amount of detergent into the jug.
Attach the lid and press and hold the PULSE button for approximately 10 seconds. This will remove almost all residues. Rinse all soap from the jug and lid with water and leave upturned to dry.
Do not clean the inside of the jug by hand unless the blade unit has been removed. To remove or replace the blade unit, turn the retaining ring on the underside of the jug counter-
clockwise.
Only clean the motor base using a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water. To extend the lifespan of the blade unit, do not leave the jug immersed in water or full of liquid
for a prolonged period of time. By following these precautions it will help to prevent rusting of the blade unit bearing and premature wear.
Inspect the drive socket, blade unit and jug assembly at regular intervals for wear.
INITIAL TROUBLESHOOTING
UNPLUG THE POWER CORD TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY BEFORE TROUBLESHOOTING
NO POWER
The blender is fitted with a safety overload button located on the underside of the blender base
which will be activated if the motor is overloaded. If this occurs, please check and remove any unsuitable ingredients from the jug and then press the overload button to reset the blender.
Ensure the power cord is correctly connected to the blender. If the power cord is damaged in
any way do not use the blender until it has been replaced by a qualified electrician or engineer.
If the blender still does not function correctly contact your local distributor. Do not attempt to
disassemble and repair it yourself.
20” is ideal for milk based products
35” is ideal for frozen fruits
45” is ideal for large, hard and frozen products
NOT BLENDING OR UNSATISFACTORY BLENDING TEXTURE
Over time the blade unit wears, becoming blunt and will need replacing. If the blade unit begins to slow down or is not blending properly the drive socket may have worn
and need replacing.
SERVICING
Regular inspection of the drive socket, blade unit and jug assemblies is recommended as these
are consumable parts and subject to wear, needing to be replaced on a regular basis. This will ensure your blender operates at its optimum capacity.
Should a problem occur with your blender which cannot be resolved by referring to the above
troubleshooting guide, please return it to your local distributor for repair.
Aftersales service will not be provided if non-original parts have been used.
