Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the ProactiveTM TheraBeltTM. By selecting this unit, you have chosen a high quality, innovative product.
Back belts with electrodes are intended to be used with Electrical Muscle Stimulators (EMS) or with Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (TENS). The TheraBelt will deliver the stimulation signals generated by the TENS/EMS devices to the body surface with which they are in contact for fast and soothing pain relief. With back pain, it often hurts to ex in any direction, and lower back exibility is reduced. As a result, ensuring proper TENS electrode placement is dicult. Warnings and Precautions
1. The long-term eects of frequent electrical stimulation are unknown. This product should be used only under the continued supervision of a licensed medical practitioner.
2. Adjust the TENS unit as per instruction manual or physician instructions for your treatment. For safety and comfort, turn o the unit before removing back belt from your body.
3. Do not use the back belt if you have a cardiac pacemaker, implanted debrillator, or other implanted metallic or electronic device. Otherwise it might cause electric shock, burns, electrical interference, even death.
4. Do not place the back belt over your neck to avoid possible muscle spasms resulting in closure of your airway, diculty in breathing, or adverse eects on heart rhythm or blood pressure.
5. Do not use while connected to high-frequency surgical equipment or near shortwave or microwave therapy equipment.
6. Do not place the back belt conductive electrodes across your chest because the introduction of electrical current into the chest may cause rhythm disturbances to your heart, which could be lethal.
7. Do not place the back belt over, or in proximity to, cancerous lesions.

8. Since the eects of stimulation of the brain are unknown, back belt should not be placed on the head.
9. Never use in environments with high humidity (ex.: bathroom)
10. Single person use only. Do not share the garment with other persons to avoid the risks of adverse skin reactions and disease transmission.
11. Use only on healthy, clean skin. Do not use on or close to open wounds, rashes, or over swollen, red, infected, or inamed skin. If skin burning, irritation, discomfort or hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use and contact your physician immediately.
12. If the electrode is damaged, please do not use.
13. Keep the TENS unit and the back belt out of reach of small children.
14. You should contact the manufacturer of the back belt if you do not know what TENS unit to use it with.

Instructions for UseWarnings and Precautions
1. Skin must always be clean, dry, and free from lotion.
2. As per illustration below, connect the red port of the lead wire into the red port of the back belt. Do the same with the black lead wire.
3. Place the back belt on your lower back and ensure that the electrode pads of belt are optimally positioned on the back.
4. Turn on the TENS unit. Then select therapy mode, program and treatment intensity as per the unit instruction manual.
5. The easy-to-attach adjustable extension provides for up to 140 cm waist.

Device Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean this product, wash it gently with mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly in warm water to remove all soap. Do not wring. To dry, wrap in a terry cloth towel to absorb excess moisture. Remove from towel and allow to air dry at room temperature away from heat and sunlight.
Maintenance
Do not attempt any repairs to the back belt. The manufacturer will not be held responsible for the results of maintenance or repairs by unauthorized persons. Contact us at: 1-800-363-2381 for repair information.
Check the back belt before each use for signs of wear and/or damage. Replace worn items as required.
Storage
Store the back belt in a dry place and protect it against heat, sunshine, and moisture. Never place any heavy objects on the device.
Disposal
Electrical devices should not be disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of the device in accordance with the directive 2012/19/EU WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Contact your local distributor for information regarding disposal of this unit.

A.M.G. Medical Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year, to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser only. Any alterations, abuse, misuse or accidental damage voids this warranty. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period. For service under warranty, call us at: 1-800-363-2381, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM EST.
The following is excluded under the warranty:
A) All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. nonobservance
of the user instruc tions.
B) All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorized third par ties.
C) Damage which has arisen during transpor t from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transpor t to the service centre.
D) Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
