Lees deze aanwijzingen zorgvuldig door voor gebruik en bewaar ze om later nog eens te kunnen raad­plegen. Controleer of de netspanning in uw woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat. Sluit dit
apparaat uitsluitend aan op een geaard stopcontact.

Kook eerst twee keer een kopje water om uw waterkoker te reinigen. Leeg het reservoir en veeg de
buitenkant van de waterkoker schoon met een vochtige doek.

NEERZETTEN

Plaats de voet op een vlakke, stabiele ondergrond.
Bevestig de lekbak op het uitsteeksel van de voet.
Plaats de kan op de voet. Zorg dat de tuit en de lekbak aan dezelfde kant zitten.

DE WATERKOKER GEBRUIKEN

Gebruik de waterkoker alleen voor het koken van water, nooit van andere vloeistoffen of ingrediënten.
Druk op de dekselontgrendelknop om het deksel te openen.
Vul het waterreservoir altijd tussen het minimum- en het maximumniveau. Haal bij het vullen de water­koker altijd van de voet om druppelen op de voet te voorkomen.
Sluit het deksel en plaats de waterkoker weer terug op de voet.
Zet een kopje op de lekbak. Zorg dat het onder de tuit staat.
Stel de waterhoeveelheidknop in op de gewenste hoeveelheid water. De waterhoeveelheid kan worden
aangepast. Zorg dat de kop die u op de lekbak zet groot genoeg is voor de ingestelde hoeveelheid water.
Druk op de ON-knop om het apparaat in te schakelen. Het controlelampje gaat branden. Wanneer het
water kookt, komt het door de tuit naar buiten en schakelt de ON-knop automatisch uit. Door op de
STOP-knop te drukken kunt u het proces afbreken.

Als u de waterkoker per ongeluk leeg aanzet, schakelt de droogkookbeveiliging hem automatisch weer
uit. Door water in de waterkoker te doen, koelt de droogkookbeveiliging af en kunt u de waterkoker
gewoon weer gebruiken.

NB:

- Verwijder de waterkoker pas van de voet als hij is uitgeschakeld, hetzij automatisch, hetzij handmatig.

- Zorg altijd dat het waterniveau zich tussen het minimum- en maximumstreepje bevindt.
Als het waterniveau zich onder het minimumniveau bevindt, kook de waterkoker droog. Vul het water­reservoir niet hoger dan het MAX-streepje.

- De kan kan alleen met de bijpassende voet worden gebruikt.

- Het snoer moet helemaal worden uitgerold. Het mag niet helemaal of gedeeltelijk om de
voet gewikkeld blijven.

REINIGEN

HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT EN LAAT DE WATERKOKER
AFKOELEN.
De buitenzijde van de waterkoker kunt u met een vochtige doek afnemen. De voet moet u
altijd zonder water reinigen. De lekbak kan in een sopje gereinigd worden.

HET APPARAAT ONTKALKEN

Het apparaat moet elke maand worden ontkalkt. Gebruik een ontkalkingmiddel dat geschikt is dit apparaat.
Onze service unit verkoop speciale ontkalkingsmiddelen.
NB: Princess kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor schade die veroorzaakt is door ontkalkingsmiddelen.
Schade ten gevolge van het niet regelmatig ontkalken van het apparaat valt niet onder de garantie.

WAARSCHUWING!

- Voordat u het apparaat gaat ontkalken, moet u eerst het apparaat uitschakelen, de stekker uit het stop­contact trekken en wachten totdat het apparaat is afgekoeld.

- Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof.

LET OP!

- Wees bij het ontkalken van het apparaat voorzichtig en zorg dat u geen meubels of kleding beschadigt.

- Gebruik geen azijn of azijnconcentraat om het apparaat te ontkalken.

- Gebruik geen citroenzuur om het apparaat te ontkalken.

- Ontkalk het waterreservoir met een geschikt ontkalkingsmiddel.

- Laat het ontkalkingsmiddel intrekken.

- Spoel het reservoir grondig om met schoon water.

ONTKALKEN

- Gebruik de waterkoker voor het koken van een kop schoon water.

- Druk op de dekselontgrendelknop om het deksel te openen en giet het resterende water uit het reservoir.

- Vul het waterreservoir tot het maximumniveau met een ontkalkingsmiddel dat geschikt is voor de
waterkoker. Meng het middel met water volgens de gebruiksaanwijzing op de verpakking van het middel.

- Zet een grote kop op de lekbak om het mengsel in op te vangen.

- Schakel de waterkoker in en kook het mengsel leeg tot het minimumniveau.

- Open het deksel en giet het restant van de ontkalkingsmix weg.

- Vul het reservoir met schoon water.

- Schakel de waterkoker in en laat het water door het apparaat heen koken.

- Herhaal deze stap totdat u volledig schoon water overhoudt.

PRINCESS-TIPS

- LET OP: Gebruik de waterkoker niet op een hellend vlak.

- Gebruik de waterkoker alleen als het verwarmingselement helemaal onder water staat

- Plaats het apparaat op een stevige, stabiele ondergrond.

- Dompel de waterkoker nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof.

- De buitenkant van het apparaat kan erg heet worden. Pak de waterkoker daarom alleen aan de hand­greep beet.

- Zorg dat het apparaat niet dermate dicht bij de rand van een tafel of een ander werkoppervlak staat, dat
iemand het eraf zou kunnen stoten. Laat het snoer niet over een rand hangen of op de vloer. Iemand
zou erover kunnen struikelen. Let op: het apparaat bevat kokend water!

- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het apparaat of het snoer beschadigd is. Stuur het in dit geval op naar
onze servicedienst. Bij dit type apparaat kan een beschadigd snoer alleen door onze servicedienst worden
vervangen met behulp van speciaal gereedschap.

- Plaats dit apparaat niet op of in de buurt van een warme kookplaat of andere warmtebron.

- Haal altijd eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact als zich een storing voordoet of als u het apparaat gaat
schoonmaken.

- Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.

- Het gebruik van dit apparaat door personen (met inbegrip van kinderen) met een geestelijke of
lichamelijke handicap, of met te weinig ervaring of deskundigheid, kan gevaarlijk zijn.

BEFORE USING

Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check whether
the voltage in the home corresponds with that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance
to an earthed socket.

Boil twice a cup of water to clean your kettle before using it for the first time. Empty the water reservoir,
and then wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.

MOUNTING

Place the base on a flat and stable surface. Mount the drip tray onto the projection of the base.
Mount the kettle body onto the base. Make sure the spout and the drip tray are on the same side.

USING THE KETTLE

The kettle should be used exclusively for boiling water; never use it with other liquids or ingredients.
Push the lid release button to open the top lid.
Always fill the water reservoir between the minimum and maximum level markers. Always remove the
kettle body when filling it to avoid water dripping into the base.
Close the top lid and replace the kettle body onto the base.
Place your cup on the drip tray. Make sure it aligns with the spout.
Turn the water volume dial to set the volume of water you desire. The water volume can be adjusted.
Make sure to place a big enough cup on the drip tray to collect the hot water.
Switch the kettle on by pressing the ON button. The indicator light will light up. Once the water boils, it
is dispensed from the spout and the ON button automatically switches to the off position. You can press
the stop button to stop the process.

If the appliance is accidentally switched on when empty, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off
again. Adding water will then cool the boil-dry protection mechanism enabling you to use the kettle as normal.

NOTE:

- Do not remove the kettle body from the base until it has switched off automatically or you have
switched it off yourself first.

- Always make sure that the water level is between the minimum level marker and the maximum level
marker. If the water level is below the minimum level marker, the kettle will boil dry. Do not fill the
water reservoir higher than the MAX level indicator.

- The kettle can only be used in combination with the accompanying base.

- The cord should be completely unrolled and not left coiled around the base.

CLEANING

FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET AND ALLOW THE KETTLE TO COOL.
The outside of the kettle can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The base should always be cleaned
without water. The drip tray can be washed with soapy water.

DESCALING THE APPLIANCE

The appliance must be descaled every month. Use a suitable descaling agent for descaling.
Special descaling agents are available from our service unit.
Note: Princess will not be responsible for any damage caused by descaling agents. Damage
caused by not regularly descaling the appliance is not covered under the guarantee.

WARNING!

- Before descaling the appliance, always switch off the appliance, remove the mains plug
from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.

- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

CAUTION!

- Be careful when descaling the appliance to prevent damage to furniture or clothing.

- Do not use vinegar or vinegar concentrate to descale the appliance.

- Do not use citric acid to descale the appliance.

- Descale the water reservoir with a suitable descaling agent.

- Let the descaling agent soak in.

- Thoroughly rinse the water reservoir with clean water.

DESCALING

- Use the kettle to boil a cup of clean water.

- Press the lid release button to open the top lid and pour out the remaining water.

- Fill the water reservoir to the maximum level with a descaling agent that is suitable for the kettle.
Mix the descaling agent with water as instructed on the package of the descaling agent.

- Use a big cup to collect the descaling agent.

- Switch on the kettle and boil the mixture down to the minimum level indicator.

- Open the top lid and pour out any remaining descaling mixture.

- Fill the water reservoir with clean water.

- Switch on the kettle to allow the clean water to run through the appliance.

- Repeat this step until the water in the appliance remains completely clean.

PRINCESS TIPS

- CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane

- Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully immersed

- Place the kettle on a sturdy and stable surface.

- Never immerse the kettle in water or any other liquid.

- The exterior can become quite hot. Only pick up the kettle using the handle.

- Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of a table, counter top etc, that someone could
knock it over. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge or on the floor, as someone may become
entangled in it or trip over it. Remember: the appliance contains hot water!

- Do not use the equipment if it is damaged, or if the cord is damaged. In that case, send it to our Service
Department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord should only be replaced by our service
department using special tools.

- Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.

- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

- The use of this appliance by persons, including children, with a physical, sensory, mental or motorial
disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards. Persons responsible for their
safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the use of the appliance.

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E or and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.

If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp (BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other
type of plug is used, a 13Amp fuse must be fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the
Distribution Board.

AVANT UTILISATION

INSTALLATION

Posez le socle de l’appareil sur une surface plane et stable.
Placez le plateau égouttoir sur l’avant du socle.
Placez la bouilloire sur le socle. Assurez-vous que le bec et le plateau d’égouttement soient placés du
même côté.

UTILISATION DE LA BOUILLOIRE

Utilisez la bouilloire uniquement pour faire bouillir de l’eau. Ne pas l’utiliser pour tout autre liquide ou
ingrédient. Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage du couvercle pour ouvrir le couvercle.
Remplissez toujours la bouilloire de façon à ce que le niveau d’eau soit compris entre les traits minimum
et maximum. Prenez toujours soin de retirer le récipient de son socle pour le remplir d’eau afin de ne pas
renverser de l’eau à l’intérieur de celui-ci.
Refermez le couvercle et replacez la bouilloire sur son socle.
Posez votre tasse sur le plateau égouttoir. Assurez-vous qu’il soit aligné avec le bec.
Tournez la molette de volume d’eau pour régler la quantité d’eau désirée. Le volume d’eau peut être réglé
de 150 ml à 300 ml. Veillez toujours à placer une tasse assez grande pour recueillir l’eau chaude.
Allumez l’appareil en appuyant sur le bouton marche (ON). L’indicateur s’allume. Dès que l’eau boue,
elle est versée par le bec et le bouton marche (ON) revient en position Arrêt. Vous pouvez appuyer sur la
touche STOP pour interrompre l’ébullition.
Si par inadvertance la bouilloire est allumée sans contenir d’eau, le système de sécurité anti-usage à sec
se déclenchera automatiquement pour l’arrêter. Remplissez alors la bouilloire d’eau pour refroidir le
dispositif de sécurité et pouvoir utiliser à nouveau votre bouilloire normalement.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ :

- Ne pas retirer la bouilloire de son socle avant l’arrêt automatique, sauf si vous l’avez éteint vous-même.

- Faites toujours en sorte que le niveau d'eau soit compris entre le trait minimum et le trait maximum.
L'eau s'évaporera complètement de la bouilloire si le niveau d'eau se trouve en-dessous du trait
minimum. Ne jamais remplir le réservoir au-delà du niveau MAX sinon l’eau bouillante
déborderait.

- Cette bouilloire peut uniquement être utilisée avec le socle fourni.

- Déroulez entièrement le cordon ; ne pas le laisser enroulé autour du socle.

ENTRETIEN

RETIREZ D'ABORD LA FICHE DE LA PRISE ET LAISSEZ LA BOUILLOIRE REFROIDIR !
L’extérieur de la bouilloire peut être essuyé avec un chiffon humide.
Le socle doit toujours être nettoyé avec un chiffon sec. Le socle ne doit jamais être nettoyé
avec de l'eau. Le plateau égouttoir peut être nettoyé à l'eau savonneuse.

DÉTARTRAGE DE L'APPAREIL

Il convient de détartrer l'appareil tous les mois. Utilisez un détartrant adapté pour le détartrage. Des
détartrants spéciaux sont disponibles par le biais de notre unité de service.
Remarque : Princess ne saurait être tenu responsable des dommages causés par des produits détartrants.
Les dommages causés par un programme de détartrage insuffisamment adapté de l’appareil ne sont pas
couverts par la garantie.

AVERTISSEMENT !

- Avant le détartrage, éteignez toujours l'appareil, retirez la fiche électrique de la prise murale et attendez
que l'appareil ait refroidi.

- N'immergez pas l'appareil dans de l'eau ou tout autre liquide.

MISE EN GARDE !

- Faites attention à ne pas endommager des meubles ou des vêtements lors du détartrage de l'appareil.

- N'utilisez pas de vinaigre ni de vinaigre concentré pour détartrer l'appareil.

- N'utilisez pas d'acide citrique pour détartrer l'appareil.

- Détartrez le réservoir d'eau avec un détartrant adapté.

- Laissez pénétrer le détartrant.

- Rincez abondamment le réservoir d'eau avec de l'eau propre.

DÉTARTRAGE

- Utilisez la bouilloire pour faire bouillir une tasse d’eau propre.

- Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage du couvercle pour ouvrir le couvercle et versez le reste de l’eau.

- Remplissez le réservoir d'eau jusqu’au niveau maximum avec un détartrant adapté à la bouilloire.

- Mélangez le détartrant avec de l'eau selon les instructions figurant sur l'emballage du détartrant.

- Utilisez une grande tasse pour recueillir le détartrant.

- Allumez la bouilloire et portez à ébullition le mélange jusqu’au niveau minimum indiqué sur la bouilloire.

- Ouvrez le couvercle et versez le mélange de détartrant restant.

- Remplissez le réservoir d'eau avec de l'eau propre.

- Allumez la bouilloire pour permettre à l'eau propre de s’écouler à travers l'appareil.

- Répétez cette opération jusqu'à ce que l'eau dans l'appareil soit parfaitement propre.

LES CONSEILS DE PRINCESS

- MISE EN GARDE : Ne pas utiliser la bouilloire sur un plan incliné.

- Utiliser la bouilloire avec la résistance complètement immergée.

- Poser l’appareil sur une surface solide et stable.

- Ne jamais plonger la bouilloire et son socle dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide.

- L'extérieur pouvant devenir très chaud, il convient de saisir l’appareil uniquement par la poignée.

- Ne pas placer l’appareil sur un rebord de table, près d’un plan de travail, etc., pour ne pas risquer de la
heurter ; veiller également à ce que le cordon ne gêne pas le passage des gens.

- Ne pas oublier que la bouilloire est remplie d’eau brûlante !

- Ne pas utiliser l'appareil s'il est endommagé ou si le cordon est endommagé. Dans ce cas, il convient de
l’envoyer à notre service. La réparation du cordon de ce type d’appareils exige des outils spéciaux et ne
peut être effectuée que par notre service après-vente.

- Ne pas placer l’appareil sur ou à proximité d’une plaque de cuisson chaude ou autre source de chaleur.

- Toujours débrancher l’appareil avant de le nettoyer ou si un défaut apparaît.

- Veiller à ce que les enfants ne jouent pas avec la bouilloire.

- L’utilisation de cet appareil par des enfants ou des personnes présentant un handicap physique ou sensoriel,
une déficience mentale ou motrice, ou tout simplement sans expérience par rapport à ce type de bouilloire,
peut s’avérer dangereuse. Les personnes responsables de leur sécurité devront donc leur
fournir des instructions explicites ou surveiller l’utilisation de l’appareil.

VOR DEM GEBRAUCH

Bitte diese Gebrauchsanweisung vor dem Erstgebrauch sorgfältig durchlesen und für
eventuelle spätere Fragen aufheben. Prüfen, ob die Netzspannung der Wohnung der des
Gerätes entspricht. Dieses Gerät nur an eine geerdete Steckdose anschließen.

Vor dem Erstgebrauch zwei Mal eine Tasse Wasser kochen, um den Wasserkocher zu reinigen. Den
Wasserbehälter entleeren und die Außenseite des Gerätes mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen.

AUFSTELLEN

Stellen Sie die Basis auf eine ebene und stabile Unterlage.
Den Abtropfbehälter auf der Basis befestigen.
Die Kanne auf die Basis stellen. Darauf achten, dass sich die Ausschenköffnung und der Abtropfbehälter
an der gleichen Seite befinden.

GEBRAUCH DES WASSERKOCHERS

Der Kocher sollte nur zum Wasserkochen benutzt werden, nie für andere Flüssigkeiten oder Zutaten. Auf
den Deckel-Entriegelungsknopf drücken, um den Deckel zu öffnen.
Das Wasserniveau im Wasserbehälter muss sich immer zwischen der MIN- und der MAX-Anzeige befin­den. Beim Füllen der Kanne, die Kanne immer von der Basis nehmen, damit keine Wassertropfen auf die
Basis kommen.
Den Deckel schließen und den Wasserkocher wieder auf die Basis stellen.
Eine Tasse auf den Abtropfbehälter stellen. Darauf achten, dass die Tasse unter der Ausschenköffnung
steht.
Den Wasservolumenknopf auf die gewünschte Wassermenge stellen. Die Wassermenge kann eingestellt
werden. Darauf achten, dass die Tasse auf dem Abtropfbehälter groß genug für die eingestellte
Wassermenge ist.
Den Ein-Knopf drücken, um den Wasserkocher einzuschalten. Nun leuchtet die Kontrollanzeige auf.
Sobald das Wasser gekocht hat, kommt es durch die Ausschenköffnung nach außen und schaltet sich der
EIN-Knopf automatisch aus. Mit dem Eindrücken des Stopp-Knopfs kann der Vorgang zwischendurch
unterbrochen werden.

Wenn der Wasserkocher versehentlich eingeschaltet wird und leer ist, schaltet die Trockenkochsicherung
den Wasserkocher automatisch aus. In diesem Fall Wasser in den Wasserkocher geben. Die
Trockenkochsicherung kühlt ab und das Gerät kann wieder benutzt werden.

HINWEIS:

- Den Wasserkocher erst dann von der Basis entfernen, wenn er entweder automatisch oder mit der Hand
ausgeschaltet wurde.

- Das Wasserniveau im Wasserbehälter muss sich immer zwischen der MIN- und der MAX-Anzeige
befinden. Wenn sich das Wasserniveau unter der MIN-Anzeige befindet, kocht der Wasserkocher trocken.
Den Wasserbehälter nur bis zur MAX-Angabe füllen.

- Die Kanne kann nur mit der dazugehörigen Basis benutzt werden.

- Das Kabel muss vollständig ausgerollt sein und darf nicht um die Basis gewickelt werden.

REINIGUNG

ZUERST DEN STECKER AUS DER STECKDOSE ZIEHEN UND DANACH DEN
WASSERKOCHER ABKÜHLEN LASSEN.
Der Wasserkocher kann außen mit einem feuchten Tuch abgewischt werden. Die Basis
wird ohne Wasser gereinigt. Der Abtropfbehälter kann in Seifenwasser abgewaschen werden.
