VOOR HET GEBRUIK

Deze gebruiksaanwijzing eerst geheel doorlezen en bewaren om later nog eens te kunnen
raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat. Sluit
dit apparaat alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.

De snoerloze waterkoker brengt maximaal 1,5 liter water in enkele minuten aan de kook. Door de
van de voet afneembare kan bijzonder praktisch in gebruik. Met veilige vergrendeling aan het
deksel, controlelampje en voorzien van thermostaat en veilige droogkookbeveiliging.

Plaats de PRINCESS MIRROR KETTLE op een stevig en stabiel tafel- of werkblad en zodanig dat
het apparaat niet gemakkelijk omgestoten kan worden.

GEBRUIK VAN DE WATERKOKER

Gebruik de waterkoker uitsluitend voor het aan de kook brengen van water, niet voor andere
vloeistoffen en ook niet voor andere ingrediënten. Kook eerst een volle kan water om de kan te
reinigen; gooi dit water weg.

Vul de kan altijd met een hoeveelheid water die tussen de minimum en maximum vulstrepen ligt.
Bij te weinig water zal de kan te vroeg uitschakelen, bij teveel kan het water overkoken. Bij het
vullen de kan altijd van de voet nemen, zodat er geen gemorst water in de voet kan lopen.

Schakel de kan in door de aan/uit knop onder de handgreep in te drukken. Het controlelampje gaat
aan. Zodra het water kookt zal de aan/uit knop automatisch terug in de uit-stand springen.

Indien gewenst kan men het water nog een keer laten koken door de knop weer in te drukken.
Wacht hiermee echter minimaal 30 seconden nadat de kan automatisch uitgeschakeld is.

Indien de kan per abuis droog ingeschakeld wordt, zal de droogkookbeveiliging hem automatisch
uitschakelen. Door de kan daarna met water te vullen zal de droogkookbeveiliging weer afkoelen en
kunt u de kan op de normale wijze gebruiken.

Let op:

• Neem de kan pas van de voet nadat deze automatisch uitgeschakeld is of schakel deze eerst met
de hand uit.

• Vul de kan niet verder dan tot het maatstreepje ‘MAX’ anders kan er kokend water uitgestoten
worden.

• Gebruik de waterkoker alleen met de bijbehorende voet.

SCHOONMAKEN

HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPKONTAKT EN LAAT DE KAN
AFKOELEN!

De buitenkant kan met een vochtige doek afgenomen worden. De voet dient altijd
droog gereinigd te worden.

ONTKALKEN

Gebruik een ontkalkingsmiddel dat geschikt is voor huishoudelijke apparaten, zoals koffiezetapparaten.
Gebruik het middel volgens de aanwijzingen op de verpakking. Schakel de kan niet in tijdens het ontkal­ken, maar laat het middel koud inweken. Spoel na het ontkalken de kan enige malen om met schoon water.

PRINCESS RAADGEVINGEN

• Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak.

• Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.

• De buitenkant van de waterkoker wordt heet. Pak de kan dus alleen bij de handgreep beet.

• Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van een tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het
eraf zou kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen
struikelen of erachter blijft haken. Bedenk dat de kan gevuld is met heet water!

• Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d.

• Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.

• Gebruik geen schurende of krassende schoonmaakmiddelen.

• Gebruik de waterkoker alleen met bijbehorende voet.

• Niet gebruiken als het apparaat of het snoer beschadigd is. Stuur het naar onze servedienst om
risico's te vermijden. Bij dit type apparaat kan een beschadigd snoer alleen door onze
servicedienst worden vervangen met behulp van speciaal gereedschap.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the
following

• Read the instructions carefully before operating this appliance.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

• To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put in water or other liquid.

• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

• Unplug from power outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning.

• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunc tions, or
is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility
for examination, repair or adjustment.

• The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.

• Do not use outdoors.

• Do not let power cord or the extension cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot
surfaces.

• Do not place place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

• Always close lid from the kettles when in use.

• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

• The USA–version of this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). As safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug doesn’t fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

PRINCESS TIPS

• FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

• Do not yank on any cord to disconnect.

• Never plug appliance in where water floods the area.

• Place the appliance on a firm and stable surface.

• Ensure that the appliance is not placed so close to the edge of the table, worktop, etc. that it may
be knocked off. Remember that the kettle is filled with hot water.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or in any other liquid.

• Do not use any abrasive or scouring cleaning agents.

• Do not use the equipment if it is damaged, or if the lead is damaged. Sent it to our Service
Department to avoid a hazard. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord should only be
replaced by our Service Department using special tools.

CLEANING

FIRST UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND LET THE CAN COOL DOWN!

The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth. A dry cloth should always be used to clean the base.

DESCALING

Use a descaling agent that is suitable for domestic appliances such as coffee–makers. Use the agent
according to the instructions on the packaging. Do not switch the can on when descaling, but allow
the agent to soak in when cold. Rinse the can several times with clean water after descaling.

BEFORE USE

Read these instructions fully before use and keep them for future reference. Check whether the
mains voltage in your home corresponds to that of the appliance. Use only an earthed socket for this
appliance.

The cordless kettle will bring a maximum of 1,5 litre of water to the boil in a few minutes. The can
is extremely convenient to use, as it can be removed from the base. It has a safety lock on the lid, a
pilot lamp, a thermostat and a boiling–dry protection.

Place the PRINCESS MIRROR KETTLE on a stable, firm table or worktop so that the appliance
cannot be easily knocked over.

USING THE KETTLE

The kettle should only be used for boiling water and is not suitable for boiling other liquids or for
other ingredients. First boil a full can of water to clean the can. Throw this water away.

Always fill the can to a point between the minimum and maximum indication marks.
If the water level is too low the can will switch off too early, whereas if the water
level is too high the water will boil over. When filling the can, always remove it from
the base to avoid spilling water on the base.

Switch the can on by pressing the on–off switch under the handle. The pilot lamp will
light up. As soon as the water boils, the on–off button will automatically switch to the
“off” position.

If desired, the water can be brought to the boil again by pressing the button a second time. However,
this should not be done for at least 30 seconds after the can has automatically switched off.

If the can is switched on by accident when it is empty, the boiling–dry protection will automatically
switch it off again. The boiling–dry protection will cool down again when the can is filled with
water. You can then use the kettle in the normal way.

N.B.:

• Do not remove the can from the base until it has switched off automatically or first
switch this off manually.

• Do not fill the can beyond the indication mark “MAX”, otherwise the water may
boil over.

• This kettle should only be used with the foot supplied.

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter E or and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW

AVANT L’EMPLOI

Lisez attentivement ce mode d’emploi et conservez–le afin de pouvoir le consulter ultérieurement si
nécessaire. Assurez-vous que la tension de voltage de votre domicile correspond bien à celle de
l’appareil. Cet appareil doit toujours être raccordé à une prise électrique avec mise à la terre.

La bouilloire sans fil permet d’obtenir en quelques minutes 1,5 litre d’eau bouillante
maximum. La bouilloire se détache de son socle ce qui la rend particulièrement com­mode à utiliser. Avec verrouillage de sécurité sur le couvercle, voyant lumineux,
thermostat et système de sécurité anti-usage à sec.

Posez votre PRINCESS MIRROR KETTLE sur une table ou une surface solide et
stable à un endroit où il ne puisse pas être renversé par inadvertance.

FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA BOUILLOIRE

Utilisez la bouilloire uniquement pour faire bouillir de l’eau. Ne pas l’utiliser pour tout autre
liquide ou autres ingrédients. Faire d’abord bouillir une pleine bouilloire pour la nettoyer; ne pas
utiliser cette eau.

Toujours remplir la bouilloire de façon à ce que le niveau d’eau arrive entre les traits minimum et
maximum. S’il n’y a pas suffisamment d’eau, la bouilloire s’arrêtera trop tôt et s’il y en a trop, l’eau
pourra déborder. Toujours détacher le récipient de son socle pour le remplir d’eau afin de ne pas
renverser de l’eau à l’intérieur du socle.

Allumez la bouilloire en appuyant sur l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt situé sous la poignée. Le voyant
lumineux s’allume. Dès que l’eau bout, la bouilloire s’arrête automatiquement et l’inter rupteur
revient en position Arrêt.

Si vous désirez refaire bouillir l’eau encore une fois, il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton. Mais attendre
au moins 30 secondes jusqu’à l’arrêt automatique de la bouilloire.

Si par inadvertance la bouilloire est allumée sans contenir d’eau, le système de sécurité anti-usage à
sec se déclenchera automatiquement pour l’arrêter. Remplissez alors la bouilloire d’eau, ce qui fera
refroidir le dispositif de sécurité, et vous pourrez de nouveau utiliser la bouilloire normalement.

Attention:

• Ne détacher la bouilloire de son socle qu’après l’arrêt automatique ou éteignez-le d’abord à la main

• Ne jamais remplir la bouilloire au–delà du niveau “MAX” sinon l’eau bouillante déborderait.

• Utiliser uniquement cette bouilloire avec le socle fourni.

NETTOYAGE

RETIREZ D’ABORD LA FICHE DE LA PRISE ELECTRIQUE ET LAISSEZ LA BOUIL
LOIRE REFROIDIR !

Essuyez la paroi extérieure avec un chiffon humide. Le socle doit toujours être
nettoyé à sec.

DETARTRAGE

Employez un produit détartrant qui convient pour les appareils ménagers comme les cafetières.
Utilisez le produit conformément aux instructions fournies sur le paquet. Ne pas allumer l’appareil
pendant le détartrage, laisser agir le produit à froid. Bien rincer la bouilloire à l’eau douce à
plusieurs reprises après le détartrage.

CONSEILS PRINCESS

• Posez l’appareil sur une surface stable et solide.

• N’immergez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau ni dans tout autre liquide.

• L’extérieur de la bouilloire devient très chaud. Les saisir donc uniquement avec la
poignée.

• Veillez à ce que l’appareil ne soit pas placé sur le rebord d’une table, d’un plan de
travail etc. où il pourrait être renversé ou faire trébucher quelqu’un. N’oubliez pas
que l’appareil con tient de l’eau brûlante !

• Ne placez jamais l’appareil sur ou à proximité immédiate d’une plaque de cuisson
ou équiva lent.
