Lees de instructies voor gebruik op uw gemak door en bewaar ze zodat u ze later nog eens kunt raad­plegen. De Princess Toaster is ideaal om gelijktijdig twee sneetjes brood te toasten. Dankzij de regelbare
bruiningsgraad en het ingebouwde broodjesrekje met hendel aan de zijkant is deze toaster buitengewoon
praktisch. Sluit deze toaster alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.

GEBRUIKSTIPS

De bruiningsgraad kunt u instellen van nét knapperig getoast, via goudgeel tot donkerbruin geroosterd.
Om de gewenste instelling te vinden, kunt u wat experimenteren. Ook de staat van het brood heeft hier
invloed op: droog of oud brood gaat sneller, vers brood en diepvriesbrood hebben wat meer tijd nodig.
De bedieningshendel blijft alleen in de vergrendelde stand staan als de stekker in het stopcontact zit.
Gebruik geen mes, vork of ander voorwerp om het brood uit de toaster te halen of om de toaster schoon
te maken. Indien het brood klem komt te zitten in de toaster, dient u eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact te
halen voordat u het brood verwijdert.

Aan de voorkant van het apparaat bevinden zich drie lampjes:

• De ‘Reheat’-knop met indicatielampje. Het lampje gaat aan als de knop ingedrukt wordt.
De reheat-knop wordt gebruikt om de toaster op te warmen als deze is afgekoeld.

• De ‘Defrost’-knop met indicatielampje. Het lampje gaat aan als u de knop indrukt. De defrost-knop is voor
het toasten van brood dat direct uit de diepvries komt. Door de knop in te drukken verlengt u de toasttijd.

• De ‘Cancel’-knop.

TOASTEN

Het toasten gaat als volgt:

- Stop het brood in de toaster.

- Stel de bruiningsgraad in.

- Druk de grote hendel naar beneden.

- U kunt het toasten tussentijds onderbreken door op de cancel-knop te drukken.

Wanneer het brood getoast is, springt het automatisch omhoog.

SCHOONMAKEN

TREK ALTIJD EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT.
Maak de toaster na ieder gebruik schoon. Dit voorkomt dat voedselresten vastkoeken. Laat na gebruik de
toaster eerst afkoelen.
Trek de kruimellade aan de onderzijde uit en verwijder kruimels en andere resten. Reinig de buitenzijde
met een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen schurende of agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.
DOMPEL DE TOASTER NOOIT ONDER IN WATER OF EEN ANDERE VLOEISTOF.

PRINCESS-TIPS

- Gebruik deze toaster alleen voor huishoudelijk gebruik.

- Zorg dat het snoer of een eventueel verlengsnoer zodanig weggelegd wordt dat niemand erover kan struikelen.

- Gebruik het apparaat niet als het apparaat of het snoer beschadigd is. Stuur het in dat geval op naar
onze servicedienst.

- Bij dit type apparaat kan een beschadigd snoer alleen met behulp van speciaal gereedschap door onze
servicedienst worden vervangen.

- Gebruik deze toaster niet buitenshuis.

- Houdt goed toezicht op de toaster als kinderen erbij kunnen.

- Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een geaard stopcontact.

- Laat de toaster goed afkoelen voordat u het apparaat opbergt.

- Plaats de toaster niet op een vochtige of hete ondergrond.

- Brood kan branden. Zet daarom de toaster nooit op of dichtbij brandbare zaken, zoals
gordijnen, een rol keukenpapier, e.d.. Houd de toaster altijd goed in de gaten.

- Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.

- Het is niet zonder gevaar om dit apparaat te laten gebruiken door kinderen of personen
met een geestelijke of lichamelijke handicap, of met te weinig ervaring of deskundig­heid. De voor de veiligheid van deze gebruikers verantwoordelijke persoon dient ze
duidelijke instructies te geven voor of ze te begeleiden bij het gebruik van dit apparaat.

- Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden bediend met een externe timer of een
afzonderlijke afstandsbediening.

Please read these instructions at your leisure and save them for future reference. The Princess Toaster is
the perfect way to toast 2 slices of bread at the same time. The adjustable browning level and the built-in
bread rack with a handle on the side make this toaster a highly practical appliance. Plug this toaster only
into an earthed outlet.

TIPS FOR USE

The level of browning can be adjusted from lightly crispy through slightly browned toast to dark brown.
To achieve the degree of browning desired, you can experiment with the setting. The condition of the
bread is also a factor. Dry or stale bread toasts more quickly, fresh and frozen bread take a little longer.
The serving handle will only lock in place when the appliance is plugged in.
Do not use a knife, fork or other utensil to remove the bread from the toaster or to clean the toaster. If the
bread becomes lodged in the toaster, unplug the appliance before attempting to remove it.

There are three lights on the front of the appliance:

• Reheat button with indicator light – the light goes on when the button is depressed. The reheat button is
used to heat up the toast if it has been allowed to go cold.

• Defrost button with indicator light – the light goes on when the button is depressed. The defrost button
is for toasting bread directly from the freezer. By pressing the button, you can extend the toasting time.

• Cancel button.

TOASTING

Bread can be toasted as follows:

- Place bread in the toaster.

- Set the desired browning level.

- Push the large handle downwards.

- You can interrupt the toasting by pressing the 'cancel' button.

When the bread is ready, it pops up automatically.

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.
Clean the toaster after each use. This prevents leftover food from becoming encrusted in the appliance.
Let the toaster cool down after use.
Pull the crumb tray out from beneath the appliance and remove any crumbs or leftover bread. Clean the
exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or strong detergents.
NEVER IMMERSE THE TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

PRINCESS TIPS

- This toaster is only suitable for household use.

- Make sure the cord or extension cord is carefully positioned to avoid people tripping over it.

- Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or the cord is damaged. Instead, send it to our service department.

- With this type of appliance, a damaged cord should only be replaced by our service department using
special tools.

- Do not use this toaster outdoors.

- Ensure children do not use the toaster unsupervised.

- Plug this appliance only into an earthed outlet.

- Allow the toaster to cool down before putting it away.

- Do not place the toaster on a damp or hot surface.

- Bread can burn, so do not place the toaster on or near inflammable objects such as
curtains, kitchen roll etc. Always keep an eye on the toaster.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

- The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or
motorial disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards.
Persons responsible for their safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the use
of the appliance.

- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings
identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L
or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter E or and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW

If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp (BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other type of plug is
used, a 13Amp fuse must be fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the Distribution Board.

Le Princess Toaster est idéal pour faire griller 2 tranches de pain simultanément. Le degré de brunissage
réglable et le support tout pain intégré avec manette sur le côté font de ce grille-pain un appareil extrêmement
pratique. Branchez ce grille-pain uniquement sur une prise de terre.

CONSEILS D’UTILISATION

Le degré de brunissage peut être réglé de légèrement doré à très grillé.
Quelques essais vous permettront de déterminer le temps de cuisson qui vous convient. L’état et le type de
pain sont également des facteurs dont il faut tenir compte. Du pain sec ou rassis grille plus vite, du pain
frais ou du pain congelé prendra plus de temps.
La manette ne reste bloquée que si l’appareil est branché.
N’utilisez pas de couteau, fourchette ou autre ustensile pour retirer le toast ou pour nettoyer le grille-pain.
Si du pain reste coincé dans la fente, débranchez toujours l’appareil avant d’essayer de le dégager.

La façade de l’appareil comporte trois voyants :

• La touche ‘Reheat’ avec voyant lumineux - le voyant s'allume lorsqu’on appuie sur la touche. Cette
touche permet de réchauffer un toast refroidi.

• La touche ‘Defrost’ avec voyant lumineux - le voyant s'allume lorsqu’on appuie sur la touche. Cette
touche permet de faire griller du pain qui sort du congélateur. Appuyer sur cette touche pour augmenter
le temps de cuisson.

• Touche ‘Cancel’(Annulation).

POUR GRILLER DU PAIN

Procéder comme suit :

- Mettre le pain dans le grille-pain.

- Régler le degré de brunissage désiré.

- Abaisser la manette.

- Pour arrêter l’appareil en cours de cuisson, appuyez sur la touche “Cancel”.

Le toast remonte automatiquement lorsqu’il est prêt.

ENTRETIEN

DÉBRANCHER TOUJOURS L’APPAREIL AVANT DE LE NETTOYER.
Nettoyer l’appareil après l’emploi. Ceci afin d’éviter que des restes de pain ne s’incrustent
dans l’appareil. Laisser refroidir le grille-pain après l’emploi.
