Lees deze gebruiksaanwijzing op uw gemak door en bewaar hem om later nog eens te kunnen raadplegen.
Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat. Sluit dit apparaat
alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan. De Princess Sandwichmaker is ideaal om snel een smakelijke tosti
met bijvoorbeeld kaas of ham te maken. De antiaanbaklaag op de bakplaten voorkomt kleven en is snel
weer schoon. Dankzij de controlelampjes en automatische thermostaat is de sandwichmaker een praktisch
en makkelijk hanteerbaar apparaat. Wij raden u aan om voor het eerste gebruik de bakplaten met een
vochtige doek te reinigen en eventuele labels te verwijderen.

GEBRUIKSTIPS

Vet de bakplaten licht in met boter, braadvet, olie of iets dergelijks. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact
(het rode 'Power'-lampje gaat aan) en sluit de sandwichmaker. Het duurt ongeveer 5 minuten voordat het
apparaat opgewarmd is. Gedurende deze tijd kunt u de sandwich klaarmaken. Zodra de bakplaten op
temperatuur zijn, gaat het groene 'Ready'-lampje aan.

Open nu de sandwichmaker en leg de sandwich op de gebruikelijke manier op de onderste bakplaat: eerst
een boterham, daarna het beleg en tot slot weer een boterham. Sluit de sandwichmaker (druk de platen
hierbij niet met veel kracht op elkaar) en vergrendel de bakplaten met de clip om de handgreep. Maak de
sandwiches altijd met het apparaat vergrendeld.

Bij het sluiten van de sandwichmaker kan enige stoom ontstaan. Pas op dat u zich hier niet aan brandt. Na
ongeveer 2 à 3 minuten is de sandwich klaar. Natuurlijk kan met de baktijd wat geëxperimenteerd worden
om het beste resultaat te verkrijgen.

Opmerking: gedurende het bakken gaat het groene 'Ready'-lampje aan en uit. Dit duidt erop dat de
thermostaat z'n werk doet en de ingestelde temperatuur telkens aanpast.

Zodra de sandwich klaar is, kunt u de sandwichmaker openen en de sandwich eruit nemen, eventueel met
behulp van een houten of kunststof spatel. Gebruik nooit metalen spatels e.d. om beschadiging van de
antiaanbaklaag te voorkomen.

Indien u nog meer sandwiches wilt maken, kunt u de sandwichmaker dichtgeklapt laten staan zodat deze
op de juiste temperatuur blijft. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als u het apparaat niet meer gebruikt.

SCHOONMAKEN

HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT EN LAAT HET APPARAAT VOLLEDIG AFKOELEN.
Maak de sandwichmaker na ieder gebruik schoon. Dit voorkomt dat voedselresten vastkoeken. Laat na gebruik
de Sandwichmaker eerst afkoelen. Giet nooit koud water op de bakplaten. Dit zou het apparaat beschadigen
en geeft kans op spatten van heet water. Gebruik geen schurende of agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.

DOMPEL DE SANDWICHMAKER NOOIT ONDER IN WATER OF EEN ANDERE VLOEISTOF.
Reinig de bakplaten met bijvoorbeeld keukenpapier. Moeilijk te verwijderen resten kunt u eerst losweken
met wat bakolie (even 5 minuten laten inweken). De buitenzijde kunt u met een vochtige doek afnemen.

PRINCESS TIPS

- Gebruik deze sandwichmaker alleen voor huishoudelijk gebruik.

- Zorg dat het snoer en eventueel een verlengsnoer zodanig weggelegd worden dat
niemand erover kan struikelen en dat ze de hete bakplaten niet raken.

- Raak hete onderdelen nooit aan. Gebruik de handgrepen of knoppen.

- Dompel snoer, stekker of bakplaat nooit onder in water of andere vloeistof, om
elektrische schokken te voorkomen.

- Houd voldoende toezicht wanneer het apparaat wordt gebruikt in de nabijheid van
kinderen of huisdieren.

- Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact, wanneer het apparaat niet wordt gebruikt en
voordat u het reinigt. Laat het apparaat afkoelen voordat u onderdelen aanbrengt of
verwijdert en voordat u het apparaat reinigt.

- Gebruik het apparaat niet wanneer het snoer of de stekker beschadigd is of het apparaat niet
goed werkt, is gevallen of op andere wijze is beschadigd. Stuur het apparaat voor inspectie,
reparatie of elektrische of mechanische afstelling naar de dichtstbijzijnde servicedienst.

- Gebruik van accessoires die niet door de fabrikant van het apparaat zijn aanbevolen of verkocht, kan
gevaar opleveren.

- Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet over de rand van een tafel of werkblad hangt of met hete onderdelen in
aanraking kan komen.

- Gebruik deze sandwichmaker niet buitenshuis.

- Houd goed toezicht op de sandwichmaker als kinderen erbij kunnen. De bakplaten en de metalen
buitenzijde worden immers erg heet. Wees natuurlijk zelf ook voorzichtig. Laat het apparaat goed
afkoelen voordat u het opruimt.

- Sluit de sandwichmaker alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.

- Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden bediend met een externe timer of een afzonderlijke
afstandsbediening.

- Wanneer het apparaat aanstaat, kunnen de vlakken waar u bij kunt, heet zijn.

- Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen, met inbegrip van kinderen, met verminderde
lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tenzij zij door een

Please read these instructions at your leisure and save them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket. The
Princess Sandwichmaker is ideal for making quick and tasty toasted sandwiches, with ham cheese or other
ingredients. The non-stick coating on the plates prevents sticking and is easy to clean. The indicator lights and
the automatic thermostat make the sandwich maker a highly practical appliance before using the appliance
for the fist time, we recommend that you clean the plates with a damp cloth and remove any stickers.

TIPS FOR USE

Grease the plates slightly with butter, lard, oil or something similar. Insert the plug into the electrical socket
(the red ‘Power’ lamp illuminates) and close the sandwich maker. It will take around 5 minutes for the
appliance to heat up. You can use this time to prepare the sandwich. When the plates reach the correct
temperature, the green ‘Ready’ lamp will illuminate.

Now open the sandwich maker and place the sandwich in the usual way on the lower plate, i.e. first the
bread, then the filling, then another piece of bread. Close the sandwich maker (do not press the plates
against each other too vigorously) and use the clip on the handle to lock the plates in position. Always
keep the appliance closed when making sandwiches.

When the sandwich maker is closed, some steam may be emitted. Take care this does not burn you. After
2-3 minutes, the sandwich is ready; you can of course experiment with the cooking time to achieve the
perfect result.

Note: during cooking, the green ‘Ready’ light will flicker. This is normal and shows that
the thermostat is working properly.

When the sandwich is ready, you can open the appliance and remove the sandwich, using a
wooden or plastic spatula if required. Do not use metal implements as these could damage the
non-stick coating.

If you wish to make more sandwiches, you can keep the sandwich maker closed to keep it
at the right temperature. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND LET IT COOL DOWN COMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING.
Clean the appliance after each use. This prevents leftover food from becoming encrusted in
the appliance. Let the sandwich maker cool down after use. Never pour cold water onto the plates. This may
damage the appliance and can cause spattering of hot water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products.

NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Clean the plates using kitchen paper. Soak stubborn leftovers with cooking oil first and leave to dissolve
for 5 minutes. The outside of the base can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

PRINCESS TIPS

- This appliance is only suitable for household use.

- Make sure that the cord, or extension cord if necessary, is placed where no one can stumble over it and
away from the hotplates.

- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

- To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or cooking unit in water or any
other liquid.

- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children or pets.

- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts and before cleaning the appliance.

- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

- The use of accessory attachments, not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer, may cause hazards.

- Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

- Do not use this appliance outdoors.

- Ensure children do not use the appliance unsupervised. The plates and the metal exterior can get very hot.
Of course be careful yourself, as well. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before tidying it away.

- Plug this appliance only into an earthed outlet.

- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

- The accessible surfaces will become hot while the appliance is in operation.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or
instruction on the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

- The parts of this set have a PTFE non-stick coating. When this coating is heated, small quantities of
gases can be given off. These are harmless to humans. However, it has been proven that the nervous
system of birds is very sensitive to them. Therefore, do not use this appliance near birds (tropical birds,
such as parrots).

- This appliance is intended to be used indoors only, for instance in household and similar applications
such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.

The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L
or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter E or and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW

If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp (BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other type of plug is
used, a 13Amp fuse must be fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the Distribution Board.

est facile à nettoyer. Avec son témoin lumineux et son thermostat réglable le Sandwich Maker est un
appareil très pratique à utiliser. Avant d’utiliser l’appareil pour la première fois, nous vous conseillons
d'essuyer les plaques de cuisson avec un chiffon humide et, le cas échéant, d'enlever les étiquettes.

CONSEILS D’UTILISATION

Graissez légèrement les plaques de cuisson avec du beurre, de la graisse, de l’huile ou un produit équivalent.
Branchez la fiche dans la prise de courant (le voyant « power » s’allume) et fermez le Sandwich Maker.
L'appareil chauffe en 5 minutes environ. Vous pouvez préparer entre-temps le croque-monsieur. Le voyant
de température « ready » s'éteint lorsque les plaques ont atteint la température requise.

Ouvrez alors le Sandwich Maker et placez le croque-monsieur de la façon habituelle (donc d’abord une
tranche de pain, puis le fromage et le jambon puis une autre tranche de pain) sur la plaque de cuisson
du bas. Refermez l’appareil (en appuyant les plaques l’une sur l’autre sans forcer) et bloquez les plaques
à l’aide de la pince-poignée. L’appareil doit toujours être fermé pendant la cuisson.

Il se peut que de la vapeur se dégage de l’appareil en le refermant. Attention à ne pas vous brûler. Le
croque-monsieur est prêt au bout de 2 ou 3 minutes ; bien entendu vous pouvez faire quelques essais en
modifiant le temps de cuisson pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats.

Remarque : pendant la cuisson, le témoin de température vert « ready » s'allume et s'éteint en alternance,
indiquant que le thermostat fonctionne et ajuste à chaque fois la bonne température.

Dès que le croque-monsieur est prêt, vous pouvez ouvrir l’appareil et sortir le croque-monsieur en vous
aidant éventuellement d’une spatule en bois ou en plastique. Ne jamais utiliser de spatule métallique car
cela endommagerait le revêtement antiadhésif.

Si vous désirez préparer un autre croque-monsieur, laissez l’appareil fermé afin de garder la température.
Enlevez la fiche de la prise si vous n’utilisez plus l’appareil.

ENTRETIEN

DEBRANCHER TOUJOURS L'APPAREIL DE LA PRISE DE COURANT ET LE LAISSER REFROIDIR
AVANT DE PROCÉDER À SON NETTOYAGE
Nettoyez l’appareil à croque-monsieur après chaque utilisation pour éviter que des restes
d’aliments n’attachent. Après l’usage, laisser d'abord l’appareil refroidir. Ne versez jamais
de l’eau froide sur les plaques de cuisson, car vous pourriez endommager l’appareil et
provoquer des éclaboussures d’eau brûlante. Ne pas utiliser de produits abrasifs ou agressifs.

NE JAMAIS PLONGER L’APPAREIL A CROQUE-MONSIEUR DANS L’EAU NI
DANS TOUT AUTRE LIQUIDE.
Nettoyez les plaques de cuisson avec du papier essuie-tout. Vous pouvez détacher les restes
d'aliments qui accrochent avec de l'huile de cuisson (laissez tremper 5 minutes). Nettoyez
l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un chiffon humide.

CONSEILS DE PRINCESS

- Utiliser cet appareil à croque-monsieur uniquement pour un usage domestique.

- Veillez à ce que personne ne puisse trébucher sur le cordon ou une rallonge éventuelle. Veillez également
à ce que le cordon n’entre pas en contact avec les plaques de cuisson qui deviennent brûlantes.

- Ne pas toucher les surfaces chaudes. Utiliser les poignées ou les boutons.

- Pour éviter tout risque d'électrocution, ne pas immerger le cordon, les prises ou l’appareil lui-même dans
l'eau ou tout autre liquide.

- Exercer une surveillance lorsque l'appareil est utilisé par ou à proximité des enfants.

- Débrancher l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé et avant de procéder à son nettoyage. S’assurer que
l’appareil est refroidi avant de mettre ou d’enlever des pièces et avant de procéder au nettoyage de
l’appareil.

- Ne jamais utiliser un appareil dont le cordon ou la fiche sont endommagés, ou si l'appareil présente un
dysfonctionnement, s'il est tombé ou endommagé d’une manière quelconque. Renvoyer l'appareil à un
réparateur agréé pour le faire examiner, réparer ou régler la partie électrique ou technique.

- L’utilisation d’accessoires non homologués ni vendus par le fabricant de l’appareil peut être dangereuse.

- Ne pas laisser le cordon pendre sur le rebord d’une table ou d’un plan de travail, ni toucher des surfaces
chaudes.

- Ne pas utiliser cet appareil à croque-monsieur à l’extérieur.

- Exercer une surveillance en présence d'enfants. Car les plaques de cuisson et les parois extérieures
métalliques de l’appareil deviennent très chaudes. Soyez bien sûr vous-même très prudent. Laisser
refroidir complètement l’appareil avant de le ranger.

- Brancher l’appareil à croque-monsieur uniquement sur une prise de terre.

- Veiller à ce que les enfants ne jouent pas avec l’appareil.

- L’utilisation de cet appareil par des enfants ou des handicapés physiques, sensoriels, mentaux ou
moteurs, ou dénués d’expérience et de connaissance peut être dangereuse. Les personnes responsables
de leur sécurité devront fournir des instructions explicites ou surveiller l’utilisation de l’appareil.

- Les enfants doivent faire l’objet d’une surveillance afin qu’ils ne jouent pas avec l’appareil.

- Les éléments de cet appareil sont pourvus d’un revêtement antiadhésif thermoplastique PTFE.
Lorsqu’il est chauffé ce type de revêtement peut engendrer de faibles émissions gazeuses. Ces émissions
ne sont absolument pas toxiques pour les humains mais il a été démontré que le système nerveux des
oiseaux y était très sensible. Il est donc conseillé de ne pas utiliser cet appareil à proximité d'oiseaux
(oiseaux exotiques tels que perroquets).

- Cet appareil est destiné uniquement à un usage à l’intérieur et à des utilisations dans des lieux tels que
cuisines du personnel de magasins et de bureaux et autres lieux de travail, tels que fermes, hôtels, motels et
autres types d’hébergements à l’usage des clients, comme dans les chambres d’hôtes etc.

- Ce produit n'est interrupteur marche / arrêt et fonctionne lorsqu'il est branché dans la source d'alimentation

Überprüfen, ob die Netzspannung in der Wohnung der des Gerätes entspricht. Das Gerät nur an eine
geerdete Steckdose anschließen. Der Princess Sandwichmaker ist ideal für die schnelle Zubereitung von
Sandwichtoasts mit zum Beispiel Käse, Schinken oder einem anderen Belag. Die Antihaftbeschichtung auf
den Grillplatten verhindert das Ankleben und lässt sich problemlos reinigen. Dank der Kontrolllämpchen
und des regelbaren Thermostats ist der Sandwich Maker äußerst praktisch in der Handhabung. Es empfiehlt
sich, die Grillplatten vor dem ersten Gebrauch mit einem feuchten Tuch zu reinigen und
eventuelle Aufkleber zu entfernen.

GEBRAUCHSHINWEISE

Die Grillplatten leicht mit Butter, Bratfett, Öl oder Ähnlichem einfetten. Den Stecker in die
Steckdose stecken (das rote „Power“-Lämpchen leuchtet auf) und den Sandwich Maker
schließen. Es dauert etwa 5 Minuten, bis das Gerät warm ist. In der Zwischenzeit können
die Sandwichtoasts vorbereitet werden. Sobald die Grillplatten die gewünschte Temperatur
erreicht haben, leuchtet das grüne „Ready“-Kontrolllämpchen auf.

Den Sandwich Maker jetzt öffnen und den Sandwich wie üblich auf die unterste Grillplatte legen. Zuerst
eine Brotscheibe, danach den Brotbelag und alles mit einer zweiten Brotscheibe abdecken. Den Sandwich
Maker schließen (die Platten dabei nicht mit viel Kraft aufeinander drücken) und die Grillplatten mit dem
Verschluss am Griff verriegeln. Die Sandwichtoasts immer im geschlossenen Gerät zubereiten.

Nach dem Schließen des Sandwich Makers kann es zur Dampfentwicklung kommen. Darauf achten, dass
man sich nicht daran verbrennt. Nach 2 - 3 Minuten ist der Sandwichtoast fertig. Selbstverständlich kann
mit der Betriebszeit etwas experimentiert werden, bis das optimale Ergebnis erreicht wird.

Hinweis: Während der Zubereitung geht das grüne „Ready“-Kontrolllämpchen immer an und aus. Das ist
normal und bedeutet, dass der Thermostat ordnungsgemäß funktioniert.

Sobald der Sandwichtoast fertig ist, kann das Gerät geöffnet und der Sandwichtoast entnommen werden.
Eventuell einen Holz- oder Kunststoffspatel verwenden. Keinen Metallspatel o. Ä. benutzen, um die
Antihaftbeschichtung nicht zu beschädigen.

Wenn noch mehr Sandwichtoasts zubereitet werden sollen, kann der Sandwich Maker geschlossen stehen
bleiben, damit er nicht abkühlt. Immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, wenn das Gerät nicht
benutzt wird.

REINIGUNG

Den Sandwich Maker nach dem Gebrauch abkühlen lassen. Niemals kaltes Wasser auf die Grillplatten
gießen. Dadurch kann das Gerät beschädigt werden und es kann heißes Wasser wegspritzen. Keine
scheuernden oder aggressiven Reinigungsmittel benutzen.

DAS GERÄT NIE IN WASSER ODER EINE ANDERE FLÜSSIGKEIT EINTAUCHEN.
Die Grillplatten mit Küchenpapier reinigen. Schwierig zu entfernende Reste zunächst mit etwas Bratöl
lösen (ca. 5 Minuten einweichen lassen). Die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen.

- Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den Haushaltsgebrauch bestimmt.

- Darauf achten, dass das Kabel oder ein eventuelles Verlängerungskabel so liegen, dass niemand darüber
stolpern kann und dass es die heißen Grillplatten nicht berührt.

- Keine heißen Oberflächen berühren. Immer die Griffe und Tasten benutzen.

- Zum Schutz vor einem Elektroschock Kabel, Stecker oder das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

- Bei der Benutzung eines elektrischen Geräts in der Nähe von Kindern oder Haustieren ist besondere
Vorsicht geboten.

- Wenn das Gerät nicht benutzt wird und vor jeder Reinigung immer den Netzstecker ziehen. Vor dem
Befestigen oder Entfernen von Einzelteilen und vor jeder Reinigung das Gerät erst abkühlen lassen.

- Ein Gerät mit einem beschädigten Netzkabel oder Stecker, ein störungsanfälliges Gerät, ein Gerät, das
heruntergefallen ist oder beschädigt wurde, darf nicht mehr benutzt werden. Das Gerät zum nächstgelegenen
Kundendienst zur Überprüfung, Reparatur oder elektrischen bzw. mechanischen Einstellung bringen.

- Die Verwendung von Zubehörteilen, die nicht vom Hersteller empfohlen oder verkauft werden, kann
Sicherheitsrisiken mit sich bringen.

- Das Kabel darf nicht vom Tischrand oder einer anderen Fläche herabhängen und nicht mit heißen
Oberflächen in Berührung kommen.

- Den Sandwich Maker nicht im Freien verwenden.

- Darauf achten, dass Kinder das Gerät nicht unbeaufsichtigt benutzen. Die Grillplatten
und die Metallaußenseite werden nämlich sehr heiß. Auch Erwachsene sollten beim
Umgang mit dem Gerät vorsichtig sein. Das Gerät gut abkühlen lassen, bevor es weg­geräumt wird.

- Den Sandwich Maker nur an eine geerdete Steckdose anschließen.

- Das Gerät kann nicht mit einem externen Timer oder einer separaten Fernbedienung
bedient werden.

- Wenn das Gerät eingeschaltet ist, können die Oberflächen heiß sein.
