Important
The conveyor belt and Teflon release sheet should be cleaned
twice weekly while they are still hot. Use Sizzle Plus from Kay
Chemical (800-529-5458) or other degreaser and a No-Scratch
pad. The Teflon sheet has four rotation uses: both sides and
turned end-to-end.
Why Clean
As buns are toasted, a residue is left on the belt. When the residue
dries it becomes slick and the belt may start to slide under the bun
without pulling the bun through the toaster. Replacing the Teflon
release sheet will help extend belt life but the best action is to clean
the belt, retaining its ability to grip the bun. Once buns begin slipping
on the belt it is too late to clean the belt. The buildup is easy to remove
while it is still fresh. It takes about five minutes to clean and should be
cleaned twice weekly (there is only one belt on the TX Toaster). If
cleaned twice weekly, you can expect the belt to last about 3-4
months. If the belt is not cleaned twice weekly, then you will need to
replace it every 3-4 weeks.
