Setting Up Your Mouse
Hardware Installation
The mouse shall be connected to a Receiver supplied by system.

Installing MouseSuite Software
Touseallof the featuresofyournewmouse,youmustinstalltheMouseSuite softwareonyourcomputer. Uses the followingguide toproperlyinstall theMouse Suite software.
Start WindowsandinserttheMouseSuite installationdiskinto thediskdrive. Click the Start buttonandthenselect Run. From theRundialogbox,enter <drive>:Setup andclick OK. Forexample,if the diskisindriveA,enter A:\Setup. Follow theonscreeninstructions.

UsingtheWheel
Note:Thissectionis forwheelmouseonly.
Yournewmousemayhavea wheel thatcanbeusedin twoways:
Rotateit touseitasthe wheel. Clickit touseitas thewheelbutton.
Important: UniversalScrollingmustbeenabled inordertousescrolling functionsinapplicationsnotcompatiblewithMicrosoftOffice97.
Scrolling
The wheelonyourmousecanbeused toscroll throughmostapplications witha scrollbar.
To scroll withyourmouse,simplyrotatethewheelonyourmouseforwardor backward.
AutoScrolling
AutoScrollallowsyou toautomaticallyscroll throughadocument withouthaving tomove themouseormouse wheelconstantly.
ToAutoScrollwhileinadocument,click themousebuttondesignatedas AutoScroll.Anoriginmark( )willappearatyourpointerposition.Tostart AutoScrolling,moveyourpointervertically,horizontally,ordiagonallyaway from the originmark.AutoScrollspeedincreasesas thepointerismovedawayfromthe originmark. TostopAutoScrolling,pressanymousebuttonorrotate thewheel.
Zooming
InsomeMicrosoftOffice97compatibleapplications(e.g.MicrosoftWord97), additionalzoomingfunctionsareavailable.Youcanuse the zooming function to
oomin?foracloserlookatapageor oomout?toseemoreofapage.
Tozoomin,hold the Ctrl keydownandrotate themousewheel forward.
Tozoomout,holdthe Ctrl keydownandrotatethemousewheelbackward.

Magnifier

With HyperLinkdesignatedasabutton function,youcanopen theapplicationor documentofyourchoicewithasimpleclick.
HyperGrid
HyperGridincorporatesninecommonWindows tasksononeeasytousegridso youdonhave tomove tovariousscreenareas toperforma task.
TousetheHyperGrid,pressandhold theassignedmousebutton todisplay thegrid. Withoutreleasing thebutton,move thepointer toaniconon thegrid.Releasethebutton toexecutethecommandassociatedwith thaticon.

Minimize Minimizes theactivewindow. Recall Restores / Maximizestheactivewindow. Close Closes theactivewindow. NextWindow Makes thenextwindowactive. ContextMenu Emulates theRightMouseButtonaction. VerticalScroll Jumpstotheverticalscrollbar. Start Activates theWindows Startmenu. HorizontalScroll Jumps tothehorizontalscrollbar. Resize Jumpsto thesizegriptoresizetheactivewindow.
Orientation
TheOrientation featureallowsyou torecalibrateyourmousesoyoucanuseitin amorecomfortableposition.
PointerWrap
WithPointer Wrapenabled,when thepointerreaches theedgeofthescreen,itwill automatically othrough?andappearon theotherside.
PointerVanish
WhenPointerVanishisenabled, thepointerwillbeconvenientlyhiddenfromviewwhile youaretypingtext. Thepointerwillautomaticallyreappearwhenyourmouseisused again.
Sonar
TheSonarfunctionhelpsyoulocateyourpointerifyouarehavingdifficultyfindingit. Pressand releasethe Ctrl keytoactivatetheSonarfunction. ThisfunctiondoesnotinterferewithotherCtrl keyfunctions.
SlowMotion
EnablingSlowMotionallowsyou to temporarilyslowdownpointermovement for increasedprecisionbypressingandholding the Shift key.This functiondoesnot interferewithotherShiftkey functions.
XFocus
WithX Focusenabled,youcanmakeanopenwindowactivesimplybymoving the pointeroveritstitlebar. This functionisusefulifyouwant toalternatebetweenseveral openwindowswithoutclicking.
AutoJump
WhenAutoJumpisenabled,thepointerwillautomaticallyappearon thedefaultbutton (e.g. OK)wheneveradialogboxisopened.

Batteryand ChannelID
Note:ThissectionappliesforWirelessvaroamtmouseonly.
Symble in thetaskbar provide informationonthechargestausofthe batteries.
Thesymble means that thebatteriesarefull.Thesymble means that the batteriesaredischarged.
TheWirelessMouse ispresettoworkwithout problems in mostenvironments. Shouldyourmousenotwork properly,the problemmay bedueto interference from otherdevicesinyourenvironment.Toresolvethe problem,pleaserefere belowsetting.
IDMode:Suggestedworkingenvironment-Office
PressSyncbuttonon thereceiver.PressSyncbuttonononthemouseuntiltheLED onreceiveristurnsoff.The IDModeisset.
Non-IDMode:Suggestedworkingenvironment-HomeorSOHOoffice
PressSyncbuttonon thereceiver forapprox.5seconds.Notethelightwilldimafter releasingbutton. Whenlightisdimmed,Non-IDmodeisset.

Why isn mypointermovingsmoothly?
TheOpticalmouseworksonawidevarietyofsurfaces.Surfaceswithtetureand/or patternfeaturesworkwellwiththeopticalsensor.Examplesofproblematicsurfaces includemirrors,glassandsomehalf-toneprintingsurfaces.
Whyaren thescrollingfunctionsofmymouseworkingwithmy notebook?
Onyournotebook,youmayneedtodisable thetrackball,touchpad,orJ-keyin the BIOSandenable theexternalportinorder tosuccessfullyuseallofyourmouse functions.
My USBmousewasnotdetectedbythesystemandwon work!
Pleasecheckthrough thebelowitems:
MakesureyourUSBmousewascompletelypluggedintotheUSBport. Checkif theUSBportinyoursystemworkedproperlyin theDeviceManager pageofSystemProperties. If thereisacircledexclamationpoint through the iconitmeansthisuniversalserialbuscontrollerhassomeproblem.Please try toremoveandinstallitagainorcontact the technicalsupportofyourPC manufacturer. Checktheversionofyouroperatingsystem. If youarenotrunning Windows 98, WindowsME, Windows2000and WindowsXP,pleaseupdateyour operatingsystemsuch that theUSBdevicecanbeenabled. MakesurethattheUSBportwasenabledintheBIOSsetup.

Makesureyouhaveconnected thereceivercorrectly Makesurethereceiverisatleast8inched(approx.20cm)away fromother electricaldevicessuchascomputers,monitors,printers,etc. Tryestablishingcommunicationbetweenthe twodevicesusing IDMode(Refer totheBatteryandChannel IDsection).
