1. Introduction
Thanks for purchasing PHS-5 variants(Including PHS-5, HS-68W, HS-84W, HS­88W).Your PHS-5 variants is a stylish headset that enables comfortable handsfree communication with compatible phone that supports Bluetooth technology. The PHS-5 variants contains the following parts, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Indicator Light (2):
Power on –Blue light constant on for 1 seconds and beep once.
Pairing state –Blue/Red light flashing alternatively, the flashing
continues for approximately 3 minutes or until the headset is connected to a compatible phone. If the headset cant be
connected to the phone during this time, the headset enter
connectable status.
Connectable –Blue light flashing once every 5 seconds.
Connection active –Blue light flashing twice every 8 seconds
Incoming call –Blue light flashing 3 times every 1 second.
Active call –Blue/Red light flashing alternatively every 5 seconds.
Power off –Red light constant on for 1 seconds and beep once.
Low battery – The Led frequence is ten times of the Led current
status,and beep on every 20 seconds

4. Volume down (4): Decrease the earpiece volume

2. Getting started
Take out all components from the package.

3. Charging the battery
Before using PHS-5 variants, you must charge the product for approximately 2 hours. When the battery is fully charged, it provides up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time.
1. Connect the charger cable to PHS-5 variants
2. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet. When PHS-5 variants is charging, red indicator light will display.
3. When the battery is fully charged, the Red light is off. Unplug the charger cable from the wall outlet and PHS-5 variants.
4. Pairing the Bluetooth headset with a compatible phone
Pairing is the process of linking the headset with your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. After this process is completed, you can use the PHS-5 variants only with this paired mobile phone. If you want to use PHS-5 variants with another mobile phone, you must repeat the pairing process again. The PHS-5 variants can be paired with up to 8 compatible phones but connected to only one phone at a time.
1. Make sure that the compatible phone is turned on and within 10 meters of the headset.
2. Turn on PHS-5 variants and make sure the headset is charged. Press and hold volume up key and volume down key together for about 2 seconds. The blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively. Release both buttons and the headset is now in pairing mode.
3. Activate the Bluetooth connection from the phone. You may need to consult with user guide of your phone regarding how to do that.
4. Set the phone to start searching for Bluetooth devices as instructed in user guide of your phone.
5. Select the PHS-5 variants from the list.

6. Enter the pin code 0000 to connect (or pair”) PHS-5 variants to the phone.
PHS-5 variants beeps once and an active Bluetooth connection is displayed by a blinking blue indicator light.
If PHS-5 variants is turned on within 10 meters of several paired phones, the headset will try to connect to the last connected phone within 20 seconds. If the headset cannot connect to the last connected phone(for example, phone is turned off or it rejects the connection), it remains connectable until user action or Headsets battery runs out. which is displayed by the blinking blue indicator light.
7. Start using the headset.
5. Disconnecting the Bluetooth headset from the phone
To disconnect PHS-5 variants from the phone, do one of the following:
1 Turn off PHS-5 variants.
2. Disconnect PHS-5 variants in the phone menu.
3. Move the headset more than 10 meters away from the phone.
Note that you do not need to delete the pairing with the headset to disconnect it. When you reconnect a paired headset, you will not be asked for its pin code again.
6. Reconnecting the paired Bluetooth headset to the compatible
phone
To reconnect PHS-5 variants to the last connected phone, you can use any one of the following actions:
1. Restart PHS-5 variants by powering off and power on again.
2. Make the connection in the phone menu as instructed in the user guide of your phone.
3. Press the Power/send/end key and Volume up key together for about 2 second
4. Press the Power/send/end key and Volume down key together for about 2 second.
5. Take the headset 10 meters away the connected phone, headset will disconnect from the phone, come back within 10 minutes and the headset will auto reconnect with the phone.

7. Powering Up
To turn on PHS-5 variants Press and hold the power key for 2 seconds. PHS-5 variants beeps and the blue indicator light starts blinking. (First time use requires pressing it for 5 seconds.)
To turn off PHS-5 variants Press and hold the power key for 2 second, PHS-5 variants beeps and the red indicator light is displayed briefly.
8. Making calls
When PHS-5 variants is connected to the phone, make a call by using the phone in the normal way. Note that the call functions depend on the phone that you use.
9. Answering and ending a call
When you receive a call, you hear a ringing tone through the headset. Short press the power/send/end key to answer the call or to end the currently active call.You can also answer and end the call using the phone.
Note: Some phones offer Auto Answer function and may be used with Headset or Handsfree, but this is a phone dependent feature. Please check out the manual of your phone about how to use that function.
10. Rejecting a call
When you receive an incoming call that you do not want to answer, double press the power/send/end key
11. Redialing the last dialed number
Press the volume up key and hold it for 2 seconds when no call is in progress.
12. Muting an ongoing call
You can mute or unmute the ongoing call by pressing the power/send/end and volume up keys together for 2 seconds when a call is in progress. A tone plays every 5 seconds to indicate the call in mute state.

13. Voice dialing
When no call is in progress, press volume down key and hold it for 2 seconds until there is a tone that indicates that you can start saying the voice tag. The phone plays the voice tag and dials the related phone number.
Note: This is a phone dependent feature. Please check out the manual of your phone about how to use that function.
14. Adjusting the earphone volume
Press the volume up key to increase or the volume down key to decrease the volume.
15. Switching the call between phone and headset
Press the power/send/end and volume down keys together for 2 seconds or use the corresponding function in your phone.
16. Erase all paired device information
When PHS-5 variants in Connectable state, press the Volume up key and hold for 5 seconds, after heard a tone played, release the key
