How To Use Your Coolwall Kettle
To fill the kettle press the lid release button to open the f lip top lid. This kettle is designed with a
fill through Spout, and water may be poured through the spout to fill.
• Put in at least enough water to cover the bottom of the kettle but never more than the ‘MAX’
mark.
• To close the lid, press the lid down until it clicks into place.
• DO NOT OPERATE THE KETTLE WITH THE LID OPEN.
• Place the kettle on the base unit, engaging the 360 degree base unit connector. The rotary
type base unit allows you to place the kettle in any convenient position.
• Plug in and switch ‘ON’ at the wall socket.
• Press the ON/OFF switch lever down to switch ‘ON’. The incorporated neon ‘ON’ light will
illuminate indicating that the kettle is working.
• When the water boils, the kettle will switch ‘OFF’ a utomatically – the switch lever will
automatically return to the ‘up’ or ‘OFF’ position.
• If, during the boiling process, the kettle is lifted off its base, it will automatically switch ‘OFF’.
• To remove the kettle from the base unit, grasp the cool touch handle and hold the kettle level
while lifting it clear off the base unit. Take extra care if the kettle is filled to the ‘MAX’ level.
• If you are using the kettle for the first time, fill to the ‘MAX’ mark, boil and pour away the
boiled water – then refill. This will remove any manufacturing residue that may have
collected.
• To re-boil, switch ‘ON’ again. If the kettle has just switched ‘OFF’ wait approximately 30
seconds before switching it back ‘ON’ again.
• If you do not put enough water, or if you switch the kettle ‘ON’ when it is empty, the safety
cut-out will switch ‘OFF’ the power automatically. If this happens, wait a few minutes for the
element to cool, then refill and use as normal.
• IMPORTANT: The kettle must ONLY be used with the base unit provided.
• IMPORTANT: This kettle is NOT to be filled while it is still located on the base unit.
