CAUTION: PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN UNPACKING. SOME OF THE ATTACHMENTS
ARE VERY SHARP.
1. Please read through the information and safety advice contained in these operating instructions carefully and thoroughly before you use the blender for the first time.
2. This blender is intended only for domestic use.
3. Never allow children to operate this appliance.
4. Make sure that the voltage shown on the rating plate corresponds with that of the mains supply. The rating plate can be found on the bottom of the motor block. The blender is only to be connected to an AC supply (~). The motor must always be switched off before the blender is connected to the main supply. (Switch (8) in the ‘0’ setting).
5. Cutting blades are very sharp. Handle the blender with extreme care and caution.
6. This blender has a safety switch and only operates if the blending jug has been inserted into the motor block.
7. Before switching on the blender, make sure that the blending unit has been assembled correctly and has been inserted into the motor block with the lid attached.
8. Always place your hand on top of the blender when you are operating the device.
9. The blender is NOT to be operated with an empty blending unit (i.e. without solid or liquid foodstuff).
10. Allow any hot liquids to cool to a lukewarm temperature before you pour t hem into the blender. DO NOT BLEND HOT LIQUIDS.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, its must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.
12. Do not immerse the base of your blender in water or any other liquid. Simply wipe with soft damp cloth.
13. Do not immerse the glass jug in boiling water.
14. Do not fill the glass jug with boiling water.
15. Close adult supervision is necessary when using this or any appliance where children are present.
16. Always allow the machine to come to a complete stop and unplug from t he wall before removing the jug/blade assembly.
17. Never leave the appliance connected to the mains and unattended.
18. Avoid contacting moving parts. Always wait until the motor has stopped before opening the lid of the blender jug.
19. Do not use any attachments other than those supplied. To do so would invalidate your warranty.
20. Do not let the cord hang over the edge or counter top.
21. Never interfere with or try to bypass the safety switches.
22. Handle the blades with extreme care. They are very sharp.
23. Make sure when removing parts to clean the power is switched off and unplugged from the wall socket.
24. Do not use out doors.
25. Please note that this appliance is for domestic use only.

IMPORTANT
THE BLENDER IS EQUIPPED WITH A SAFETY INTERLOCK SWITCH. THIS IS FITTED TO PREVENT THE MOTOR FROM BEING ACTIVATED WHILE THE MACHINE IS DISASSEMBLED. THE MOTOR WILL NOT RUN
UNLESS THE BLENDER JUG IS PROPERLY LOCKED INTO PLACE.
ASSEMBLY
Before first use it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the assembly/disassembly of the unit. Note the position of the blender jug in relation to the base (as shown on the front cover of this book):
1. The Control Switch (8) on the Motor Block (7) is t o the front.
2. Line up the Glass Jug (3/9) with the handle to the right and turn slightly away from you.
3. Place the Glass Jug (3/9) onto the Motor Block (7) and twist slightly until it falls into place.
4. Turn the Glass Jug clockwise to lock into place.
Note: the base is equipped with a safety switch. The motor will not run unless the blender Glass jug (3/9) is fitted properly.
To remove the Glass Jug (3/9) assembly, turn it anti-clockwise and lift it away from the motor block (7)
SETTINGS
There are 3 settings 1, 2 and M (pulse). Setting 1 is low speed and is usually best for liquids or cooked vegetables. Setting 2 is faster and is usually best when you want to add some air to the mixture e.g. milk shakes etc. The (M) pulse setting allows for more control over the blending/chopping process. There may be occasions were you don’t want the food pieces to be chopped too finely this setting can also be used for crushing ice. NOTE: In pulse mode if you release the switch it will automatically spring back to the 0 (off) position when released. It is only intended for short powerful bursts not continued use.
Cleaning
When cleaning this produ ct please observe the follo wing precautions:
Always ensure the unit is switched off & unplugged from the mains
Exercise extreme caution when handling the metal blades. These are very sharp.
All parts except the Motor Block (7) can be washed with warm soapy water, rinsed and dried thoroughly. The glass jug (3/9) and lid (2) are also dishwasher-safe.
To clean the Motor Block (7) wipe with a soft damp cloth. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR PLACE IN THE DISHWASHER. THE MOTOR BLOCK CONTAINS THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
Useful Tips
1. To achieve best result s when puréeing solid ingredients, place small portions into the glass jug
one at a time and blend between each portion, instead of placing a large quantity in the jug all at once.
2. If you are processing solid ingredients, cut them into small pieces (2-3cm) first.
3. For solid or very thick liquid ingredients we recommend that you use the blender in (M) pulse
mode first to help break up the food.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BROWN - LIVE (L) BLUE - NEUTRAL (N)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK
The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal, which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and securely fastened.
WARNING: ON NO ACCOUNT MUST EITHER THE LIVE OR NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE
EARTH TERMINAL

This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase when the appliance is used solely for domestic purposes. For commercial use the product is guaranteed for 90 days from the date of purchase.
The guarantee is valid against mechanical or electrical defects if the product is used in accordance with the instructions and provided that it is not connected to an unsuitable electricity supply or dismantled, interfered with or damaged in any way.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE RETAIN THIS WARRANTY Please ask your retailer to either stamp this warranty or simply attach your store receipt. Keep this warranty
somewhere safe. DO NOT SEND TO PRIMA. This guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law. IF THE PRODUCT MALFUNCTIONS DURING ITS WARRANTY PERIOD IT MUST BE RETURNED TO THE
RETAILER FROM WHOM IT WAS PURCHASED FOR REPLACEMENT. IF YOU BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT VIA MAIL ORDER, PLEASE KEEP ALL THE DOCUMENTATION THAT CAME WHEN THE UNIT WAS DELIVERED.
